[Official] X Marks the Spot: Xfearbefore Xclusive Thread

So my favorite rap group essentially disintegrates over night and I literally can't even be at least a bit saddened by it.

I'm not sure if there's something wrong with me or if it's the fact I saw it coming a long time ago.

I know this makes no sense to post here, but I'm drunk so I have an excuse. It's nights like this that make me happy I'm alive. Such a fun night.

X, The first Rollins/Ambrose match is on Youtube (and in the spoilertags). I didn't like it, but I think you will.

Love the sig, X! I believe I use a crop version of that photo as my avatar over at Bloody Disgusting, lol.

Ha, thanks man. Saw the picture and I was like "That is my next signature right there!"

Damn, Bone Thugs broke up? Honestly I thought they already were broken up. That's hurt.

Hey man good to hear! Use this thread anytime you want to make grand declarations about loving life, I won't mind, ha. I too have been in a good mood lately, loving life. Lots of positive change going on in my life and all that good jazz. Shit maybe I'll link you guys to my online journal so you can read about it.

I saw you mention me on Twitter earlier saying you thought I'd like this since we have slightly different tastes, I just finished downloading that episode of FCW actually a minute ago so I'm going to check out the Ambrose/Rollins match a little later tonight and I'll definitely make sure to let you know what I think man.

Glad you got the tweet X. I wasn't sure if you regularly checked your twitter, or when you'd next sign in.

I'd also highly reccomend Rotundo vs Kruger from the week after too. It's a very different type of match, but I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more. It also has the scariest looking apronbump I've ever seen.

Damn I was drunk last night, but it was a good night. I was at the state of drunkness where I was happy today that my phone died early last night because I'm bad about drunk texting and calling people. I always have to try and explains odd conversations.

But today I've come back down to reality again. Not that it's bad, but it's just not great.

But it's good to hear that you got all kinds of positive change going on in life. I think everyone needs some change every once in a while, especially if it's positive change.

Hey X, I recently read something somewhere that The Thing is going to be remade this year. Well, it's not so much a remake as it is a prequel to the 1982 classic. Is this something that you'd be interested to see?

Xtacles, let me know if you want to hear the rest of my shows. I have them up on mediafire for anyone to listen, I'll just give the links.

A selection of a few songs, opinions on each?

Holy fucking shit that's a lot of questions, comments, statements, and other general ramblings. Gimme a few minutes to answer them all...

Bo is weird, I go from periods of thinking he's just bland as fuck to points where I think I see some great babyface fire in him, he's very inconsistent it seems. He did have a good match with Johnny Curtis of all people back in July that I saw though. As for Twitter, I've got it set up so I get an e-mail anytime people tweet @ me or whatever, I just don't tend to really use Twitter for anything other than posting links to reviews and reports and articles I contribute to or write.

We're all prone to drunken ramblings. I've got many a blog and journal entry composed of them, good sir.

I don't have a job, but I know what you're saying.

Join the club, I'm looking for a new job or two right now myself. Need to start saving up money and shit.

Definitely. I remember reading about that as early as like 5 years ago, but I had heard they finally went ahead and greenlit it and filmed it a while back. I'm a Carpenter fanatic so anything Thing-related I'll check out.

Xtacles, let me know if you want to hear the rest of my shows. I have them up on mediafire for anyone to listen, I'll just give the links.

Feel free to post away, you could even make your own thread for it if you wanted.

Just caught some AAA on TV over here. I mean, I understood all of 5 words, but it was solid wrestling.

AAA is very hit-or-miss for me. When it's LA Park, Mesias, Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans, Atomic Boy and the new Drago, I'm all about it. But then they also have those god damned atrocious twenty minute old school Puerto Rican-style bloody hardcore brawls with those damned psycho clowns and shit. They've done some good stuff this year as a whole though. I honestly prefer CMLL when it comes to lucha, but I might be in the minority with that opinion. They tend to have more traditional one-on-one, tag team and six man lucha libre style as opposed to the more hardcore spot-oriented style that AAA uses in most of their main events. That Drago kid is awesome though, this new dude in the craziest dragon make-up shit I've ever seen who bumps and sells well and can fly around with the best of 'em. He's a rookie too I think. I'd vote him rookie of the year so far.

Headless Chickens - "George"

Sure, why not, I'm bored. Hmm, I dig this first one here quite a bit. Reminds me of Lush, or Elastica, or maybe a more traditional rock version of the Cranberries. I like it. This is the first song that popped into my head when I heard that, your turn to tell me what you think of this song:

The Dudes - "Be Mine Tonight"

The Dudes? They actually named their band The Dudes? That would seem to lose them points instantly, lol. Sort of reminds me of a poppier version of Thin Lizzy. Meh, not really into it. Tom Petty-ish maybe? Dad rock and the like.

Head Like a Hole - "I'm on Fire"

Now this I like. Reminds me of maybe...Sebadoh, or Dinosaur Jr. I may just have to download that song there, quite catchy indeed.

Chris Knox - "Not Given Lightly"

This one is harder to place. Very breezy and light and bubbly, very nice. Almost reminds me of Roy Orbison honestly, which is a huge compliment because Roy Orbison was the motherfucking shit.

The Chills - "I Love My Leather Jacket"

This I also like quite a bit. It's got a nice little punk sneer and undertone. I think I've heard this before actually, this is one of those Flying Nun bands right?

The Swingers - "Counting the Beat"

Oh yes siree, I love me some nice guitar driven new wave music and this is just that to a tee, sounds like the Violent Femmes meets Adam and the Ants or something. I like it. My iPod thanks you.

Split Enz - "Message to My Girl"

I know the Split Enz, never really listened to much of their stuff though outside of "I Got You" though. Good stuff. Hey man if you dig the art rock-ish new wave you should acquaint yourself with the band Wall of Voodoo, not sure if you know them or not. Here are a few tracks:

^

Also, have you seen Kill The Irishman?

I have not. Is it good?

X, I have a suspicion that your Twitter's been hacked.

Because of that spam thing? Yeah I saw that and changed my password and shit, thanks.

Not much and everything all at the same time broseph of bromingham, yourself?

Your thoughts on this one I am not quite sure what to make of this song

That is fucking awesome. Straight to the iPod. I've only heard Dizzee's first album before this, but I like him. I like a bit of grime, mainly Diz and this artist Akala you might like:

What are your thoughts on Jon Moxley X?

Like him quite a bit. He's not the best technician but what he lacks in teh flippiez he makes up for tenfold with his promo work, attitude, and personality. He's one of those guys, much like a CM Punk or a Chris Jericho, who will always and forever be "a wrestler", even when he's not actually wrestling. He IS his character basically. Which is what makes him so great at getting a feud or angle over with promo work, and he's more than adequate in the ring. I think if the WWE gives him a shot, people will dig him. They dig CM Punk don't they? Wrestling fans want something different from the norm these days, they want weird, and Moxley is weird for sure. In the best way imaginable of course.

So i have decided that Saito makes me laugh like no one else.

Akitoshi can be a buffoon these days but man he was great when he was on, minus the whole...murdering Misawa thing. No just kidding of course he didn't REALLY murder him. Just gave him the death blow though, that's gotta haunt him. He had some absolutely stellar battles in years past with Kobashi and Misawa though. Personally no one makes me laugh in the puro world except for Ebetaroh and Tsuyoshi Kikuchi. Kikuchi is FUCKING GOD. He once won a match with the power of his bread eating skills! Brilliance!

Sons of Anarchy should be on your list of shows, X. Top-fucking-notch!

I'm a fan of the show. Missed the first season, but have been watching every season since then and enjoying it immensely. I haven't started watching the new season yet though man, I have SO MUCH shit on my DVR to watch man, and I'm just too busy to watch it these days so Sons of Anarchy I probably won't get around to for a few months. Shit I've got like entire seasons of Louie, Burn Notice, Rescue Me, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Futurama on there I haven't even touched yet.

Take note of my new FB default pic

-goes to check FB pic-

Pugs not drugs? What about drugs for pugs? They need theirs too y'know!
