TheOneBigWill's Against All Odds Predictions: (Thanks for the graphics, Jake)
So as its been pointed out. Christian Cage a year ago defeated Kurt Angle, and then a year later, Angle defeated Christian Cage. Not only is this the tie breaker (of sorts) but its also a month following Angle's victory. Surely they wouldn't have Angle go over Cage two p.p.v.'s in a roll, would they?
Of COURSE they WOULD! Samoa Joe could "accidentally" get hit by Angle, at which point Angle would jump out of the way and when Joe turns around, all he'd see is Cage. At which point, Joe could completely go nuts on killing Cage.. Angle could pick up the cheap victory, then on the following iMPACT! Joe could see what happened, what he did.. and we'll have yet another Angle/Joe "epic" in the making, for the World Championship. I'd rather Christian Cage became the World Champion, but unfortunately, it won't be shocking if he doesn't.
Amesome Kong's first Pay Per View title defense. Naturally, they've spent all this time building her as unstoppable.. and in my eyes, O.D.B. is nothing amazing. She's barely entertainable, and hardly watchable. I'm hoping this match turns out better in the ring, than it looks from eye-view. Which is absolutely disgusting. Kong should go over pretty convincingly, otherwise Gail's title run and end will of been for nothing.
If Team 3D & Devine win, the X-Division is simply no longer to exist. If the Guns and Lethal win, Team 3D would have to jump to a specific weight to ever compete in T.N.A. again. (from what I've come to understand)
This in itself should be Team 3D's apparent departure from T.N.A. and their rumored jump back to the W.W.E. I can't for the life of me see the X-Division being destroyed, especially since its the only original Championship that Total Non-Stop Action has created for themselves to carry their company as a unique alternative. However, turning the X-Division into a Television Division isn't out of the question either.. just highly disappointing if it does happen.
I see Alex picking up the victory as the winner of the fall, becomes the *New* X-Division Champion, and he's the only one of the group who hasn't held the Championship, yet deserves a run with it.
I understand why they've had this match already taped and done, but if they knew they wouldn't of been able to hold it on Pay Per View live, then why run it on P.P.V. (as a reply) to begin with? Just hold it off for a month, and do it in a state that allows barbwire to be done.
I think this is a mistake, and another example of T.N.A. wanting to rush through their storylines at the cost of shock value entertainment. I'm fully waiting for the p.p.v. setting to look differently, unless during the taping of this they changed the aprons around.. and which point the fans in the front row should be completely different. (Yes, I'm picky enough to notice the small things.. and YES, I'm picky enough to be annoyed with all of it)
I did read the spoilers, but have since forgotten who actually wins. If I had to make the choice, I'd say Abyss simply because Judas picked up the victory at the last match. (I think, its getting hard to remember T.N.A. in general) I don't think they'd bury Abyss to Judas, either.
TNA World Tag Team Title Match: A.J. Styles and Tomko v. B.G. James and Bullet Bob Armstrong:
This is the second time they've put the very highly talented duo of Styles and Tomko against a very piss poor excuse for a Tag Team, in the Father/Son duo of the Armstrongs. I can't imagine this match being longer than 10 minutes, with B.G. against both Tomko and Styles each for 5 minutes, and finally Kip turning heel on the Father/Son duo, by costing them the match.. to further his point that he should've been the partner, and they wouldn't of lost.
The sickening part to all of this? It means at some point B.G. and Bob will have to come close to winning the match, to actually be cost the match. All this will do, is ruin, hurt, and destroy any credibility that Styles and Tomko have as wrestlers in general. And for what? A single's feud between the former New Age Outlaws? Remember their last feud? I think it went 2 monthes, before they ended up finding new partners, and ultimately returning as a team together. Lets hope T.N.A. doesn't rewrite history, from watching it the exact same way.
Booker T vs. Robert Roode:
I think the whole world would find themselves shocked, if Robert Roode ended up coming out with a clean victory. I do, however, think this could end in a disqualification with Roode still coming out victorious.
Booker T. should be full of anger and rage. Roode could even make some mention to what he did, causing Booker to blow up completely, resulting in a crap finish and another rematch between the two at Destination X. Overall, I hope not. I actually like these two, and its a nice starting point for Booker T.. but we all know we're building to a Booker T. - T.N.A. Championship run. It'll happen before the end of the year, I'm almost guaranteeing it.
And the ending to this feud is obviously gonna have to be the push of Booker T. over T.N.A. original talent. Pathetic in my opinion, but its gonna happen at some point. Might as well make it quick for Roode, so he can advance back into something he could have a remote chance with.
Drinking Championship: James Storm v. Eric Young:
How many times are we going to see these two against each other? I understand they're pushing Eric Young, but the idea of pushing someone normally results in having them go over different opponents, not the same guy each f'n month.
Furthermore, this is the dumbest Championship in Professional Wrestling in recent memory. When I think of this title, I think of the dumb result of Sharkboy's new gimmick. I can only imagine the winner of this match, and Championship, will be defending it against Sharkboy next month.. at which point Sharky will reveal a new "Hammerhead" design for the Championship, to go with his watered down (rip off) of a gimmick.
Young/Storm - it doesn't honestly matter. Why should "I" bother caring, when the actual company apparently doesn't.
Tracy Brooks vs. Payton Banks:
I'm only hoping that this will further bury W.W.E.'s Women's Division, as neither of these females are considered prime choice for the next challenger to Kong's Championship. However, what it would do upon them having a great match, is show how deep T.N.A.'s female roster goes, and how talented each of them are.
The actual Brooks/Banks feud? It could swing either way. Brooks could pick up the moral victory, for being held down so long. (dispite she still doesn't have the appeal or quality of a face) Or, Banks could pick up the victory, in a heelish/Roode helping way.. to put her over more, which needs to be done, since for the previous what now, 3 monthes, she's been nothing more than a stalker type fan?!
Overall Outlook: I used to look forward to T.N.A. Pay Per Views. Now they just randomly come and go, without me having any excitment for them what-so-ever. T.N.A. used to be filled with exciting matches, and anticipated feuds. Now all they have are slapped together mid-cards, and maybe one or two decently put together (albeit completely predictable) feuds to carry the Main Event.
I hope T.N.A. turns something around soon, because they've gotten all the right advantages and pushes to help them become a logical threat to W.W.E., yet still haven't taken hold of any opportunity they've been given.
Yes, this is more of an ending rant on me against T.N.A.'s overall production of their product.. but regarding this P.P.V., I think its clearly obvious that its just another random show to get through a month. Sadly.
