D-Man

Gone but never forgotten.

Two COMPLETELY different men have been paired on NXT. On one side, you have a large, tough, well dressed, straight-up wrestler. In the other, you've got... well... Zack Ryder. The only thing similar about thhese two is that they both put effort into their wardrobes. Too bad it only works for one of them.

What are your thoughts on these two?

Titus is going to be good. I don't think he's going to win though, I think that like Otunga he's too damn green. He's athletic as hell, evidenced by him (apparently) being in the Florida 'Gators HoF but I don't think he's been wrestling for very long. That's one hell of a disadvantage when your top competition is Alex Riley (who's as charismatic as he is tallented) and Kaval (who has more kicks in his arsenal than Chris Jericho has words in his lexicon). Good luck Titus, you're going to need it.

I like this pairing, but I hate the platform that it's on. I feel like this pairing should be like the way Christian and Tomko were a few years ago; a mouth piece and an enforcer. Zack is great on the mic, and nobody can deny it. Titus is bad on the mic, but he's fucking huge, ripped, and scary looking. It's the perfect pairing, for a main show. Not quite sure if it'll work the same way with NXT, though

First off, Zack Ryder as a pro could be the greatest thing EVER.

Second off, pairing him with the straitlaced an well-dressed Titus O'Neill (killer name, by the way) could be massively entertaining. I do't know much about O'Neill besides what was in the vignette, but that was enough to know that he may or may not get along with Ryder, and that both scenarios have the potential to be awesome.

O'Neill has a cool voice, name, and look, and a funny and fun Pro in Zack Ryder. I foresee him going far.

I've nearly marked out and died because I get to see more Zack Ryder each week.I know nothing of his rookie, and I didn't see the promo,so I'll go by you guys' word and say that this is gonna be great mismatched tandem. He has more than enough to teach this guy mic wise as well.

First off, Thaddeus Bullard (Titus O'Neill) is NOT in the Florida Gator hall of fame. He was a backup at UF, though he does own a ring from the 1996 National championship squad (he was redshirting but still a member of the squad). Secondly, he is a Gator, so I have of course a soft side for him.

Couple a Gator with a Long Island boy who grew up 2 towns from me and you have the formula for an NXT erection. It's like pairing up my life and I will root for this team on principle alone. Woo woo woo GO GATORS!!

OHHHHH RADIOOOOOOOO

I'm a mark for Zack Ryder, his gimmick is golden and you can tell that he has a blast when he's in character. Titus O'Neill on the otherhand.. I know nothing about and his promo left me feeling indifferent (the worst type of reaction). So.. meh. At least it looks like we'll see him play straight man to Ryder's antics. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised by this guy but I just don't see him going far when you've got Mr. Perfect's son, Alex Riley and Kaval as your competition. I he's gonna be the Darren Young of season 2 - completely forgetable.

I'm not liking Zack Ryder being a pro, never liked Zack Ryder, probably never will, I'm somewhat intrigued on Titus although, he seems like someone with the potential of becoming the season 2 David Otunga, he seems like he's the "clever graduate" with more skills on the microphone than in the ring, and with a great physique, and that's about it.

I'm not impressed just yet.

I hate this guy, he's supposed to be a basketball player???? okay why is he in WWE. I know people are going to compare him to David Otunga because they're both celebrites but at least Otunga has charisma, can talk on the mic and is entertaining, i don't see any of these things in Titus

1) He's a former football player
2) Presumably because he thinks that WWE is a better career choice than the AFL
3) Otunga was the drizzling shits in the ring. And, while anybody on NXT would have gotten owned by Barrett on the mic. He got owned by Barrett on the mic, so his charisma wasn't that great.

And onto my opinion of Titus. He's big and strong. He may be terrible in the ring but he'll be able to do something that Otunga cant, and that's use his power destructively. Otunga has a great amount of muscle, so does Titus. However the latter guy knows how to use it to knock people down and out. The former doesn't.

Titus in action against Curt Hawkins.

While Zach Ryder being a pro is a good thing because we get to see him more on telvsion. His rookie well I don't wat to say about him. He has a great name but just seems a little bland in the ring.

I will give him a chance to impress me on nxt and if he does then I will like him and if he doesn't well I wont.

Him being in the Gator Hall of fame was what was said by Byron Saxton in one of his FCW Matches. I googled it, and you're right, he isn't. Apparently he's in the Florida Hall of Fame though. (according to arenafootball.com

As for Titus, he's very, very big. In his FCW Debut, he was impressive as far as strength goes. Not sure about his ability to do anything other than shoulder tackles and fallaway slams though.

Most boring little video feature of the night, by far. Titus is a large black man, so what? Why should I care about him? Unless he can wow me with his wrestling, which I doubt, I think he'll be gone soon. I'd say the first one, in fact. Also, the Arena League doesn't count as pro football, big guy.

Ryder will be ok, I guess. I'm kinda sick of him at this point, but he's not the worst they could've come up with.

I'm not really liking Titus O'Neil. He's got a pretty cool name and that is all that's going for him well atleast in my point of view. He seemed very bland and his voice started to piss me off after a while. The only way I see him doing well on NXT is if he is impressive as hell in the ring, if he sucks at that then I see him going the Michael Tarver route.

Onto the pairing, I'm sure Zac Ryder will at least make it a little entertaining but that's all I see them going. It's a shame as I like Zac Ryder and I wish he had a better rookie. Oh well.

As has been said previously, Titus looks to be this seasons David Otunga, in that he got on NXT more on his look then his talent in the ring. However, I can't wait to see him, if only because that means that Zack Ryder is going to be on TV every week, and and a member of the Zack Pack, that makes me very happy.

Also, I could see a potential feud between O'Neil and Ryder, much like R-Truth and Otunga had during season 1, because of their completely different styles.

I don't know what to think of Titus O'Neil. He seems like he will be this season's Tarver, and god I hope not, unless he proves otherwise. They both have lower midcard jobber pros. I need to see more from Titus, as he looks bland, he seems bland, and I see nothing in him thus far. Hopefully he proves me wrong, but unless this guy is damn good and his vignette was just too short, I can't see him getting past the first 3 eliminations.

It seems to be the least appealing duo , But I think they can come off as big stars.

Zack Ryder is good on mic , he can use is skills to become a show stealer on NXT.

Believe it or not , I think O'Neil hast the best look in this season's rookies. He looks confident and dominate and I hope he doesn't become Michael Tarver 2.0.

Man he was awful on the mic last night. Said something like "If you're gonna win.....*awkward pause thinking of something to say* ...win" The fuck was that?

Supposedly the guy's character has temper issues so maybe something interesting can stem from that.

Also, Ryder going "DO THE BARK!" and Titus's "RUARUAHRUAHRUAHRAH" made me laugh.

I agree with Vanderhook, he was awful on the microphone, he was boring overall, nothing interesting.

He came off as somewhat interesting in the promo, but it was definitely not the impression I got of him when he was in the ring, or on the microphone.

Hopefully he'll improve, or he'll be out rather quickly in this season.

man this guy was horrible.....H...O...R.....R....I......B......L......E......he was worse than Shelton Benjamin on the mic...."If youre gonna win, make it a win? what the hell does that mean? he needs to go by week 12 when they do eliminations. first one out is this guy definitely

It was the guys first ever time on the mic on WWE television and after one mistake you're going to decide he sucks on the mic? At least he didn't just leave it with that bad line. He made sure to grab the mic from Striker afterward and say that line about Zack Ryder which was solid. If I remember correctly Daniel Bryan stumbled during his first NXT promo as well. Don't judge a guy based on one mistake.

dude.....cmon even the greenest people on the mic their first time look like they have potential.....this guy made shelton benjamin look like the freakin Rock......give him some time yea.......but after NXT if he aint improved yet there aint no hope for him..... his name is also kinda lame.....as a matter of fact all the NXT names suck this season....Husky Harris? McGuill...??? however the hell you spell that name.....i guarantee you Titus will be eliminated first....drop the O'Neill of his name and then his name is cool.....

I thought Ryder played the coach role well last night. You could hear him telling him what to do and asking him if he was OK like a real coach in any other sport would. O'neil is not that great but hey thats why Ryder is there

I don't understand why the WWE would put him on NXT. Maybe for filler and he will be eliminated first. This guy can't speak for his life. He looks scared when he speaks and stutters. I hope he doesn't look scared when he wrestles. Yeah, he's big, he's well built, but he is no Alex Riley. He should've stuck to what he has done before trying to wrestle. Well, I hope he gets eliminated first because I feel sorry for him.
