When I first found out about this pairing, I thought to myself.. "Is it this obvious that McMahon can not stand Wrestlers that he doesn't have a huge part in helping to create from the beginning, that he has to go out of his way to mock them?" Then I tried to give it more thought and this is what I've come to the decision of..
Kaval is about the worst name any Wrestler could have. What does it even stand for, or mean? Regardless of that, the overall point is.. he couldn't survive with anyone other than the (arguably) two biggest over "Pros" involved in Season 2. Shy of pairing him with Miz, which would be a direct repeat of the Daniel Bryan situation.
I have a feeling McCool and Layla are going to add the best parts to this show, and whether many know it or not - Kaval can actually be amusing. His voice was about the worst thing for me, and adding in McCool and Layla allows him to cut down on speaking to a bare minimum.
Kaval's best ability is what he can do INSIDE the ring. And McCool/Layla are going to help contribute by building him a personality, than none of the other Season II Pros could possibly help him reach.
EDIT: Also, people need to get off this "Kaval is a former TNA/Pro Wrestler, he's gotta win because of that!!" Its that very reason he, and everyone similar to him, (and Danielson) will NEVER win a contest such as this. They're already established names and stars. This is merely a lazy and easy way to re-debut them to the WWE world.
This contest is to help out the unknown names, so they won't have to start off being complete no-named jobbers to bigger names.
