[Official] Chris Benoit Memorial Thread

Oh my god. Carbon monoxide is ODORLESS. Comon sheeple, a quick Google would have told you that. Straight up tardo time here.

I just came back on this is going to be a realy dark time for wrestling periodi feel bad for the whole benoit family and friends i just do not understand how he could have done this

ive fallowed his career for the entirety of it actually partied with him once he doesn't seem like the kind of guy that could do that plus i think he would have a time with woman ANYWAY WHY WOULD SOMEONE OFF THEM SELF WHEN THERE FIX EN TO BE THE THIRD PERON IN HISTORY TO HOLD THE WWE TITLE WCW TITLE AND ECW TITLE

wlannon - the hardcore match was directed at all the folks who insist on "recalling" matches, memories and character - instead of facing the truth...you'll recall that it after i mentioned that no one was facing the facts that i made that remark - after 5 emails that tried to get folks to understand that chris had killed his family and it wasn't a time for hero worship - frankly, it's more offensive to ignore the truth than to make an unseemly remark...bottom line is that i have been following this news all day - checking in on the news 11 site in atlanta, calling fayetteville police - i'm a reporter - it's what i do...fact: benoit killed his family...conspiracy theorists will question it forever...but he did it...i want to come on here and commisreate with folks who know the facts and not be hassled because i "believe" the fakery of the news...he did it...it makes me sad...he was one of my favorites...but he lost my respect the day he killed a child - i have been that terrified child in that room (although no one died in the long run)...so get over my sarcasm directed at folks who just want to recall the "hero"...there is NO hero here today, only lost souls

Im shocked. The Crippler. A model of class and intensity. This is how he ends? Guys, I know it's hard to comprehend the heinous crime that a man so many loved and respected committed. I'm hoping for a different scenario here but when you take into account he had a "family emergency" last night, why wouldn't nancy or his son be in the hospital the minute he went back to georgia unless they died at his own hands?

Nothing has been proven... NOTHING. If people want to mourn their Hero Chris Benoit let them, even if he did do something this horrible he was still one of the greatest Wrestlers ever. Instead of being a complete dick about this why dont you try something called tact, sarcasm has no place in this Thread (or Forum) when someone has just passed and the circumstances regarding their death are still in question. If you continue with this I am going to Ban you.

jonny b - ban me if you like...bottom line is that this man that we all had enormous respect for let us all down by killing his family...more disrespectful to them than anything we say about him IS to him...nice to know that we're being flagged on 1st amendment rights...i guess that you using "fucking" in a sentance is just fine tho', eh?

Okay everybody, calm down. Nothing is 100% yet okay. Maybe, just maybe it turns out that his wife did this, then all you people already jumping the guns to piss on the legacy of Beniot are going to feel like idiots.

hmmm, maybe it was the wife. remember it was text messages being the only communication to WWE from benoit. Just something to think about.

Let's just respect the dead for now, then hang a legacy out to dry ONLY IF IT'S BEEN CONFIRMED!!

jonny b are you the creater of this website? jw ive always wanted to know who created this. good job.
but besides that, you should ban anyone who comes on here and disrespects chris and his family when they have no idea what happend or whats goin on.
people no one know the fact, when the police get them they will share them with you. so dont come on here tellin everyone what happend cuz you dont know!

Sitting in front of my tv to watch wrestling was always a pleasure knowing that Benoit was gonna be on it. His dedication to the wrestling fans will always be appreciated. Dont know if wrestling is gonna be the same without him.

Remember you always

Chris Benoit R.I.P.

In school here in England, at 9.06 am. I am so upset. Benoit was such a great wrestler, a great guy. I read Shawn Michaels autobiography, and in it he says Benoit "is an incredible guy" (or words to that effect). Michaels speaks his mind in that book. I haven't seen RAW yet, but read spoilers. Sounds like a brilliant tribute to a brilliant guy

R.I.P Benoit and his family

We will miss you

Look, there is no real way for fans to address something like this. The wrestlers we see every week on TV are the characters they portray. We can not pick out they're faults, or know whats in their heads. We see and respect their hard work and dedication to keeping us entertained. In light of the situation at hand, I find it best, to at least show some damn respect to the man that gave us 22 years of his life for our entertainment. REGARDLESS of what the outcome of the investigation as of right now.

I've read through threads, and read through posts. Even in light of a tragedy people find excuses to flame each other. This makes me sick and upset to even think I share the same viewing ratings as some of you people. Some of you have posted your feelings, and some just showing respect. But the people that accuse, and keep claiming Benoit to be a murderer are sickening. WHY, why NOW, do you care if the man is a murderer or not? Was he a murder 22 years ago when he started his career.

We may know him and respect him as the class act that he was in the ring. But, that is just a shell of the man we did not see. Truly, the wrestling business has lost a great and complete legend. I won't say that I'm right, and I won't say that I'm wrong. Benoit was a good man, but we did not know him. So until I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. I will keep the thoughts and memory of the honest, hard working, and dedicated man I watched for years and years in my mind.

Even IF he committed such a crime, as vial and disgusting as it is, it will be very hard, for anyone and everyone that was a fan of his, to swallow that. Denial, is what it is. No one, and I repeat, NO ONE, should feel sorry for giving his career a second thought. A criminal is just as bad as anyone else, but after 22 years, of giving us his blood sweat and tears, it kind of makes me sick for everyone to turn their back on him. I can't forgive him for it, if he indeed did it. In no way am I defending him either. I'm just saying, for now, Chris Benoit, THANK YOU.

jonny...btw...thanks for calling me a dick...isn't that grounds for banning??...anyway - benoit was the greatest technical wrestler of all time - one of the last out of stu's dungeon...it doesn't matter tho' - he killed his kid...jonny, you want to live in this fantasy world - be my guest - your propensity to quell the truth from being discussed is, appropriately, very vince mcmahon, ignorant and violating the rights of people whose minds are not stuck up their butts...i am a reporter who works diligently to uncover the truth...i have made consistant calls to fayetteville and regularly checked the news 11 site in atlanta...your banning me only serves to make your readers ignorant of the facts

The bottom line is a Man and his family have just died, and its people like you that give the IWC a bad name by behaving the way you have been. Sarcasm has no place in a time like this, present your views (whatever they may be) respectfully and you will have no problem. And also just to clarify these are privately owned Forums we can control what people do and dont say regardless of the 1st Amendment. If you want to continue this debate (and end up being banned I'd imagine) use my PM Box because this isn't the place for it.

No-one is trying to "quell the truth" I am telling you that you have to p[resent your views respectfully, which you are not. Like DC said this is not the time for this... this is a place for Wrestling Fans to come and mourn a great Wrestler. And like I said nothing has been proven... reports have been made but nothing is set in concrete yet so I feel judging him now is wrong.

he was one of my favorites...but he lost my respect the day he killed a child

I'm not stating anything about guilt or innocence, but if Benoit did it, he'd still have your respect had he only killed his wife? People like you sicken me. It's like the situation with that serial sniper a few years back. It was said he crossed the line when he shot a kid. Nope, he crossed the line the moment he shot his first victim.

What would make Benoit kill his child. I think the investigators have got it wrong.

What would make more sense (Not that any of this makes any sense at all) would be the Benoit was alerted by a neighbour about some strange goings on at their house and that he should return home. (I.E. his wife and his kid have already been murdered). He got back , found that they were dead , and killed himself.

What would drive Benoit to kill not only his wife , but his kid aswell?

This investigation report doesn't make any sense at all.

That makes the most sense of anything I've seen posted in this Thread. People seem to forget Benoit was called home and missed Vengeance because of a family emergency.

Chris Benoit was one of the greatest wrestlers ever. His in ring work at times has been second to no one. He will always stand up there as a great performer who's passion and dedication to the business will never be overlooked. In like of the recent reports i am trying to mask the difficulty's surrounding this tragedy and in the back of my mind trying to blank it out. Chris you were a legend, and i choose to remember Benoit for his achievements in the ring and throughout the wrestling world, not by the ill guided choice he made on his passing.

all you people who are going on about how youll miss benoit, he was a hero etc, its a tradgety etc. i find it offensive that you are trying to honour the memory of such a human being just because he was a great wrestler, and a great entertainer. bottom line the real tradgety is that such a well liked, well respected, even beloved human being turned out to be such a sick individual.
benoit is a murder, HE MURDERED HIS 7YO SON!! for fucks sake, who cares how greater performer he was, he deserves to ber remembered as a murderer not for what hes acomplished in the wrestling ring. i find it very offensive you ppl are saying things like this human being is in your prayers etc.
RIP Nancy and Daniel Benoit, nobody deserves to be taken the way you to were

no ZONE...i have no respect for him for killing his wife, too...as i would had he killed some stranger on the street...it's about killing period - the child, as i've found, simply seems to drive it home a bit better on these threads

That's what our local news said. They were murdered then Benoit found out, then killed himself.
