I asked this question in KB's thread too, but I figured I'd ask it here too. What are you're top 10 favorite Halloween Havoc matches?

first and foremost is obvious, since at times depending on the day, ill say this is the best match in the history of wrestling


1. Eddie Guerrero Vs Rey Mysterio, HH 97, Title Vs Mask


and then from the same show

2. DDP Vs Randy Savage Las Vegas death match

3. DDP Vs Goldberg WCW world championship, HH 98

4. Dean Malenko Vs Rey Mysterio CW title, HH 96

5. Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes Vs Steve Austin and Dr.Death Steve Williams, WCW tag team championship HH 92

6. Steve Austin Vs Dustin Rhodes, WCW TV championship, HH 91

7. Vader Vs Cactus Jack, Texas Death match, HH 93

8. Chris Jericho Vs Raven TV championship, HH 98

9. Chris Jericho Vs Gedo (only because of one of the most hilarious / horrifying bumps ever)

10. Flair and Sting Vs Funk and Muta, thunderdome match from 89 (for the sheer goofiness) and Chamber of Horrors from 1991

Such an under-rated gem. Probably Raven's best non-gimmick match.

yea it deserves to be higher, I had planned to have it in the list then went digging through the other shows and didn't think to add it til the end.


I actually freaking love that match. Raven had a hell of a year in 98 match-quality wise.

Since New Jersey is essentially a suburb of Philadelphia, I figure you know about the Eagles.

Why did they get rid of Nick Foles? I thought he was a really good QB and had a great future in Philly.

He was a system player, as is clear now that he is horrendous in St.Louis. Chip Kelly felt as if he could find a better system fit, and made moves to get it done.

He didn't fit Chip Kelly's system of the zone read and quick laser focus accurate passes, though it's debatable if Bradford is really that much better of a fit at this point in time.

Foles had his one good year in Philly when everyone was still trying to figure out Kelly's offense. Once they had tape on them, his numbers predictably dipped.

So add together falling numbers, a wrong fit in the coach's eyes, and injury concerns, he became expendable. He hasn't exactly lit it up in St. Louis either since he was traded. He's completing only 56% of his passes, and has 7 TDs to 6 INTs. He should be taking advantage of all the attention Todd Gurley gets, but he has failed to capitalize.


I think Kelly sold high on him to get the QB he felt fit his offense better, and perhaps he didn't see enough progress from Foles.
