NorCal answers Wrestling (and all other) questions!

No, no.

See, I think the point of this is to make NXT into something you don't "bypass" anymore (if it isn't already)

It will be developmental in so much as it will be were brand new people debut/develop.

Why do so many seem to think they are going to the main roster / the rumble?

Personally, I think its abundantly clear these guys were all hired for a specific purpose, a certain smark brand that is now doing road tours monthly.

I don't think it will happen but I think you could have awesome matches with AJ on the main roster and it could be an opportunity lost for the WWE. A long stint in NXT wouldn't be a bad thing at all though. Quite the opposite really.

All sorts of conflicting reports coming out now, that contradict themselves even within the same report.

Odd, since people seemed to have specific details on the guys deals just eight hours ago.

This may seem like a stupid question but I'm dead serious in asking it.

How do you deal with the stupidity in the non spam section? I ask because I have a very short fuse where stupidity is involved be it found in real life or online and a problem of mine has always been in how I handle the stupidity I find in life.

Yours is an opinion I've always valued and you rarely seem to get even slightly irritated around here

Lol, look at all the shit these "professional" sports/NFL reporters have gotten wrong the past few days. Literally all those fucks said Pagano was out the door. Of course basement dwelling internet wrestling reporters don't know jack. :lmao:

I don't think any of them will end up on the WWE roster before the NXT roster, but it would be a mark out moment, for sure, to have AJ pop up in the Rumble. Especially if they're going to let NXT guys take up 2-3 spots...like Joe. That could always be sold as a one and done, or as a tease to make people tune in to NXT.

Because it is merely the internet, m'boy. There is nothing worth getting angry about on here....I (and presumeably, you) come here for fun.

Actually one reason Norcal is one of the few posters I usually take the time out to read is he's quite good at making me see something from the point of view where I think "duh, that's so simple" and I feel kind of dumb for not seeing it so easily.

And he often points to how dumb another poster is in the process. Sometimes subtly. Other times not so subtly. That part is generally quite entertaining.

That is another big component of it....

Usually, when someone is flagrantly idiotic, its best to simply reveal it for everyone. Use of force is generally not necessary.

Do not lower yourself to the level of idiots. They hold the high ground, since they have much more experience at that level than you.

Tell me the Giants don't pursue Lovie...

I'd love to have him sign as a Def. Coord., but not as a head coach. I'm also not liking all the Saban talk that is swirling around the team.

When it comes to the lawsuit former NFL players launched against owners concerning concussions, while I believe the teams probably were guilty of downplaying the seriousness of the injury in order to get the player back on the field, don't you think the players were to blame, too?

In reading football autobiographies by former players Bernie Parrish, Dave Meggyesy and the novels of Peter Gent, I was always struck by how casually players themselves treated 'having their bell rung' and that their concern over getting back into the game (rather than take the chance of losing their position on the team) often led them to hide the head shot from the team trainers. Why should the owners take all the blame?

Even if the team had kept players informed of the danger of concussions, do you think it would have made a significant difference in how the players acted toward it? I don't.

Instead, they file their lawsuit years after their playing careers are over, in the hope of getting money for what many of them were probably aware of at the time.

What do you think?

The bottom line to this always will be, especially in this more and more PC world we live in that it will always come back to the top of the food chain. Its their call, and their wisdom, ultimately, that is to blame.

Indeed, on all counts, good sir.

Im sad Kenny Omega isn't coming, but im happy this is moving him up the card in Japan as well.

Maybe next year.

The Bullet Club and nakamura signings are still just "unconfirmed but extremely likely" reports right, or are they "already signed and debuting imminently" reports?

I don't recall hearing a lick about them in at least a week. Which is about a week too long in wrestling rumor gossip. I would have expected about 4 news articles a day on it.

Last I heard it was the latter.

I have the most confidence in the Nakamura thing. I heard he was in contact with them LAST year, but they could not get anything done in time before he had to re-up with NJPW.

Not the case this year, and it appears NJPW is clearly preparing to move on without him.

I haven't seen anything confirmed anywere, but everyone recall there was total and utter mystery regarding Samoa Joe til he walked out during the main event of Takeover.

It looks as though Nakamura has also been taken off all the promotional material for ROH's 14th Anniversary show next month.

It's just been too quiet on the Bullet Club front. It has to be legit since .com made a couple articles about it. They probably have some sort of no-compete or something preventing them from being used right away.

So Mister Norcal, I must ask you an important question. You (and your NJexus cohorts) traversed to The Garden for the Hall of Fame before Mania 29, right?

I'm going to Mania and am questioning whether to get tickets for Hall of Fame. Not knowing who is gonna be there (aside from Sting) is making it less intriguing, not to mention the fact that it's just everyone talking for hours on end without any action or anything makes it sound rather boring in terms of live entertainment. Is it worth attending? Sure it's cool and everything but just sitting there listening to guys talking the whole time at a podium just sounds irritating. Naturally I'm doing the whole Mania weekend with one of my friends who is a casual fan so he may be even more ehh about it.
