Since Bully Ray's win last week, rumors that he'll be added to the main event of Bound For Glory have been bouncing around. Lot's of people want to see it. They want Bully to at least get that spot even if he doesn't win. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't wanna see it. TNA played a very good story having Aries call out Ray to prove he can be better than Hardy and then have that backfire on him. That's the reason I want the feud not to involve Bully Ray. A perfect play of one-upsmanship between Hardy and Aries is starting to become a very interesting feud between the veteran looking for redemption and the newcomer looking to prove himself. Bully Ray would look like nothing more than a monkey wrench tossed into things just to reward him for signing a new contract.

I realize he's a great worker and all, but that doesn't mean TNA should mess with the main event of BFG. I believe the one on one match can play out far better, have a better pay off and a better storyline. So if TNA does add Bully Ray, I'm gonna be a sad panda.

As much as I love Bully Ray, I would much rather this be a One on One between Aries and Hardy. Ray lost the BFG Series. If he got into the match, it would devalue the series next time around.

That being said, Bully Ray needs to be in one of the upper card matches. He needs to shine at BFG. I think he needs a win at BFG. It would help Bully in the long run. He is bound to be world champion sometimes within his next two years with the company. Make him look good here and book him as a top guy. Let him face a major guy.

The problem with that is all the big names are booked, or leading down the path to be booked. Magnus seems to have Joe. Storm is facing Roode. Hardy and Aries are booked. And, AJ Styles and Kurt Angle are, wrongly, booked. The only other decent names are Anderson, RVD, and maybe Morgan (if he was to return.) Those are the only matches that could possibly draw.

Another option would be have Bully Ray be the leader, or connected to the Aces and Eights. I have heard reports of Team TNA vs. A&E. Ray could really be on either team. But, hi potential wouldn't shine as much in a match with this many men.

I would love to have seen Bully Ray vs. AJ Styles at Bound For Glory. Or Bully Ray vs. Kurt Angle at BFG. Those can't happen. So, maybe we will have to settle for a three way.

It makes perfect sense though. Bully Ray PINNED the champion clean in the middle of the ring. Sure, he lost to the number 1 contender a few weeks ago but he still pinned the champion. Bully Ray's also got plenty of history with both of them, and he'd be the easy heel in the match. It would be hard to put Aries and Hardy in a one on one scenario and NOT have Aries look like the heel. And TNA needs Aries to be their new face if they want to strive forward.

Bully Ray probably won't win, and that's all good in the hood. But that doesn't mean he won't make this into a great match, especially since the three of these people have chemistry in the ring.

If bully gets added to the match doesn't make the whole BFG series irrelevent. I mean Hardy busts his ass of to win the series just to have Bully (who he beat 3 times) be added to the mainevent because he pissed off and beat Aries.

The main event should be Aries and Hardy if they want have Hardy win and you can have a triple threat match at the next PPV with face Hardy Heel Bully and tweener Aries that would be great but i just think adding bully to the BFG mainevent makes the whole series kind of seem irrelevent.

I think I'd actually prefer the 3-way. I might have been inclined to side with Killjoy before I was at a recent TNA house show. Granted it was in Hardy country and not as smarky as BFG may be but Jeff just obliterated Aries in crowd support. As much as a lot of us like Aries, I don't think he is quite there yet where he can go up against Hardy on a big stage and hold his own. Adding Bully to the match would open it up to a lot more possible outcomes which should help with unpredictability and variety. Babyface, tweener, pure heel just seems like it plays a little better.

Edit: if it was a TLC match would it change your mind Killjoy?

I like the idea of a three-way, too. Aries and Hardy haven't exactly proved that they've got any serious chemistry between the two of them, so I don't see why not to involve Bully Ray. I mean, hasn't Bully Ray been one of the hottest heels in wrestling for like a year now? The guy has been brilliant and he naturally fits into the storyline -- he's got history with both men, let them hash it out on the biggest stage TNA has to offer. The second Hardy won the Bound for Glory series, I figured they'd go with a three-way. Bully put in some of the best work of his career at the end of the BFG series and I have no problem with him in the World Heavyweight Championship match. As long as it adds some unpredictability and excitement (which it does), I don't see why anybody would have an issue with making this match a three-way.

I don't agree with the notion that adding Bully Ray to the match between Hardy/Aries would devalue the BFG series, as some people have been saying. He lost to Hardy, but he also pinned the champion. He earned his way into that match. Does it really matter that he wasn't the winner of the BFG series? I can't say it does. Storm won the World Heavyweight Championship last year after the winner of the BFG series (Bobby Roode) couldn't get the job done, that didn't devalue the tournament, either (regardless of the fact that Roode ended up winning the strap, shortly thereafter).

People overthink things too much, adding Bully Ray to this match will be fine.

The idea of Bully Ray getting put into the World Title match at Bound for Glory had crossed my mind as well, even before the Ray/Aries match last Thursday. With all the involvement Ray has had with Hardy & Aries lately, it's almost inevitable. Personally, I think it could work - and work very well.

Even though Bully Ray cheated to beat Aries last week, he still pinned the World Heavyweight Champion. TNA management (kayfabe) has to take notice of something like that. Putting Ray in the match would be great, especially if they make the match a TLC (like shattered dreams kinda/sorta suggested). I know, gimmick matches aren't exactly the coolest thing in the world anymore...but the older fans might be into it.

At this point in Ray's career, it's pretty much now or never when it comes to the World Heavyweight title scene. Ray is definitely no spring chicken anymore, and this might be his last chance to main event a major wrestling PPV. I'm sure Ray is pushing for this backstage, and I wouldn't be upset if the match was changed to a triple-threat. In fact, it might even make me more excited to see it.

As of right now, I prefer the three way idea. It's still early on and they've got several weeks until BFG to change my mind. As for right now, however, I don't have high hopes for the Aries/Hardy feud. I don't sense any real chemistry between the two as of yet and, again, right now, there's just no heat to this feud.

If it was any other time, then I think it'd be alright. It's not any other time, however, because it's BFG season. TNA's biggest show of the year is roughly 3 weeks away and, right now, Aries vs. Hardy doesn't feel like the blockbuster main event that needs to headline TNA's biggest show. Bully Ray is arguably the best heel in TNA right now and is arguably the best on the mic right now out of the entire roster. His promos have the ability to generate chemistry and the needed friction with the opponents he feuds with.

From a character standpoint, for me personally, Jeff Hardy leaves a lot to be desired. I'm hopeful that TNA will really get things moving with is feud with Aries in the coming months, I truly do. I just have no confidence in Hardy's promo ability and promos are needed to really help build this thing up. In a promo segment with Aries, it's going to be pretty one sided with Aries carrying all the weight.

As I alluded to earlier, this feud would be fine during the rest of the year or if it was a match on the undercard at BFG. I'm still hopeful that TNA can get things juiced for this feud but if they can't, and I do think that's a realistic possibility, then Bully Ray might be the only way to really salvage things. I'm sure Hardy & Aries could put on a great match but the build up to such a match at TNA's top show is very important. Last thing TNA wants to headline BFG is a dud.

It makes perfect sense though. Bully Ray PINNED the champion clean in the middle of the ring. .

That doesn't mean it makes sense. It wasn't a number one contenders match. He lost two matches to the current number one contender. I cannot see ANY reason why Bully Should be added to the match other than "Theres no heel" which Aries is playing anyway.

Bully losing to Aries was meant to ENHANCE ARIES and thats what it does. It enhances Aries' drive and motivation to be better than Jeff Hardy. It puts doubt in his mind that he can do everything Jeff can do and it will lead to him acting the bad guy in the match.

IF
Aries loses the belt to Jeff, then maybe Bully has a claim to number one contender. Thats the only claim I think he has right now.

I am frankly looking forward to this match. Its going to be Austin Aries trying to top every top rope move. Every daring stunt and he will be trying all night to win that crowd from Jeff. Having Bully in there would take away from that aspect and I think this is a match that is going to do wonders for Austin Aries as a character.

Ray could plead his case that he deserves another crack to be in the BFG main event. But I feel that it should stay a one on one affair, though I'm not opposed to a three way dance. I just don't want another rehash of BFG 2010. Adding a heel element could be beneficial to the match.

There is a plethora of reasons not to make this a three way. But I can think of a good reason why. Maybe they wish to take the belt off of Aries without making him look weak.
If Bully pins Jeff to become the champ, Aries is not diminished much. If Jeff pins Bully, same thing, except it ******s Ray's current push. Nothing that happens at BFG can hurt Hardy. I have a feeling that if this becomes a three way, Aries will not be involved in the pin. Then he can complain about the title he never really lost. (hopefully he will make more of it than RVD has, perhaps more like Christian Cage.)

Personally, although the three way might be a better match, I want to see Aries retain in a singles bout against hardy. I hope it happens. But I have a feeling that even if it is not a three way, maybe Bully will get involved anyway, helping Aries. Maybe he is scared that he cannot beat Jeff, but just pinned Aries and thinks he can do it again on the next PPV.

I agree with this thread. As much as I love Bully Ray and think he deserves to be champ, triple threat matches are always awkward. The only match that i thought was amazing that was a triple threat was the match at WM22 between rey, angle, and orton. I just think the rivalry between hardy and aries is too good to pass up for awkward match moments and random addition to the storyline. maybe the ref could get knocked out and bully comes out and tries to hit hardy with a chair but hits aries instead on accident and hardy capitalizes and gets the pin and the title. This would make aries a tweener, as well as hardy. and bully ray would make a grab for the title at the following ppvs.

Not a huge fan of a 3 way main event at the biggest PPV of TNA's year. I don't think they need a heel added to this match because by the time we get to the match I think Aries will be the heel or at least heelish. I like Bully Ray a lot and hope he becomes champ down the road, but I think this match needs to be One on One.

I realize he's a great worker and all, but that doesn't mean TNA should mess with the main event of BFG. I believe the one on one match can play out far better, have a better pay off and a better storyline. So if TNA does add Bully Ray, I'm gonna be a sad panda.

I agree 100% I very much want to see a one on one then a three way. I also believe that Bully SHOULD be in the spotlight as well, they have already done enough to get him groomed to the point where he should be taking on a more active role in the Heavyweight Title picture. That bein said I could possibly see him getting involved in the match somehow, hopefully that will be at the end of the match after the bell has rung, it would be a shame if the mach between Austin and Hardy ended in a dq or something following Bully's actions.

what i was thinking, was what if bully ray takes/wins the World Title off Aries before BFG. It could end up being aries who gets so obsessed with aces and eights, he loses his title to bully ray

I, for one, wants the BFG main event to stay between Hardy/Aries. Like many have said, it would devalue the whole BFG series if it turned into a three-way main event. I hope it just means that Bully Ray gets the first shot at whoever wins between Hardy/Aries after BFG.
