Night of Champions - No Disqualification - Triple H vs. CM Punk

oh yeah and if anybody wants a custom sig.... message me i make them. and i'll say it again nash and punk should have gone through.... just sayin

Dont know what the wwe is doing right now because it seems they dont have confidence building long term major storyline. They already blew the cena / punk feud, could have been dragged all the way to survivor series and draw great interest from fans. (COME ON THE FEUD COULDVE BEEN DONE MUCH BETTER)

HHH vs punk at Night of champions? Hope the e change their plan and postpone it to survivor series. Man this is A wrestlemania match for godsake.

I love it! Miss Seeing H in the ring and hell i dont even like the guy! I do think for storyline purposes it woulda made sense to wait longer but im sure WWE has something up their sleeve! I mean come on! Have they disappointed any of us at all lately?!

Once again, I think nepotism wins HHH this match. I cant stand HHH and would love to see Punk put him in his place and start a feud a la Austin/Vince, where HHH runs CM Punk through all of the toughest matches he can, and CM Punk being victorious in them all.

EDIT: Oh, and off topic, but that was the most devastating RKO i have ever seen.

at first i thought this was weird or just because maybe kevin nash's knees are in too bad of shape for him to wrestle punk but then again maybe the fix is in and they want triple h to fight punk instead as it will be a better match then nash vs punk imo

There will definitely be interference in this match at NOC. I believe HHH will win this match, though it won't be clean, of course. One of the new posts on WZ talks about a possible NWO return. Let's not forget Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero are supposed to be making their debut soon. If they are brought in making an impact, my money is on them helping their old ROH buddy, CM Punk. Just an idea. It would make for an interesting "save" at NOC if Punk gets the beat down from H and Nash, and possibly other Kliq members. There was a piece not two weeks ago talking about the E getting permission from USA for H to bloody Punk on an episode of Raw, if I am correct. They may just do that at NOC instead so that way, there is no permission needed. This is written poorly, and rather stream-of-consciousness. I apologize. Shalom!

I'm never one to give the WWE the benefit of the doubt. When the original nexus hit and everyone was so excited to see where this fresh new angle was going to take us, I rolled my eyes and knew that it would absolutely nowhere. I think there's a lot to this angle that has yet to play out. It clearly has everyone insanely intrigued and I think this is the first time in years I'm actually hopeful they won't fuck it up. They almost have me believing everything is happening for a reason. Come on now. Did we really wanna see Punk vs Nash? I love the guy but seriously what would that accomplish in the grand scheme of things? One thing is for sure, I'm a hell of a lot more excited for NOC then I was an hour into the show.

prediction is Nash gets involved..... against Triple H :D probably some spin on how Triple H didn't give his friend the proper respect, and Triple H needs to get his head straight or something... either way... giving Trips the win over Punk seems stupid at this juncture... build him up, take his title, and then have him lose to someone who's become a part-time wrestler..... seems flimsy

There's still plenty of time for Kevin Nash to get angry about this (in storyline) and somehow pull some mystery strings over HHH and the board's head and get the original match put back in place.

I would prefer they wait on Punk vs HHH and build up a better feud between them. But did you guys see Nash walking down the ramp prior to his interference in the Punk match? He looked terrible. Obviously he can stand in a ring and deliver a powerbomb or talk on the mic, but can he actually move around the wrestling ring in a regular match without looking like a dinosaur? In the grand scheme of things I think Nash is probably bad enough in the ring where it is better that he just serve in a talking enforcer/bodyguard kind of role. I think watching him in the ring could end up pretty ugly.

That being said, I would still prefer Punk vs Nash right now since that is what makes the most sense based on the story since Summerslam and getting a Nash match every once in a while is tolerable. This HHH match doesn't really make sense since HHH isn't supposed to touch the talent, and he really hasn't been physically provoked in any way by Punk. Punk has been ripping on HHH and his wife since the epic promo back at the end of June. Why all of a sudden is that now a good enough excuse for the COO to fight the talent when Punk has been doing the same thing for a couple of months now? It's not like Punk actually attacked Steph and gave her a GTS. It doesn't really make sense in the story.

And if it is Punk vs HHH at NOC, I am guessing that would be the main event over the Cena/ADR match. Whereas if it was Punk vs Nash, there is no way in hell I see Nash main eventing a show right now, which means that ADR would get the main event. Is it possible that WWE simply believes that Cena vs Del Rio is too weak of a draw right now (because of ADR) and so that's why they are possibly having HHH/Punk main event the show instead?

i hope and i mean HOPE that they don't spin the NWO... cause knowing the WWE, it'll do a 180 and like i said, i think Nash with take out HHH either way, but if it's an NWO swing, then they'll probably make it seem like Punk pulled this big trick on everyone, and he's been behind it all along, cause he learnt one thing, and it's not what you know, it's who you know, etc. etc. etc.... punk+NWO = all loss of credibility for the current CM Punk character

should be interesting to see, but again this should've been saved for Survivor Series or Wrestle Mania. This could be the new Austin/McMahon like feud if given enough time to develop.

I like the matchup, but if you think that it's gonna be a one on one contest where the "best man wins" you are mistaken. There won't be a clean finish and somewhere in the formula, I see Nash and Laurinitis playing a major role in the outcome of it all. What I know is that being in the position HHH now finds himself, there is noway that he is going to lose this match. What I also know is they need CM Punk to remain strong and not look weak during this match. A screw job is on the horizon, is it gonna be HHH's doing or CM Punk's doing? We shall see

The only spin-off I'd love to see on the nWo would be if we finally saw an nWo vs. DX on screen... Seeing HHH go up against Punk and I feel he will go up against something bigger if Nash interferes against Punk, it just makes me think about when everytime HHH calls for help. Everytime he's 2 or more against one, he always calls on HBK and the DX reunites.

If that's the case. My storyline would be this.... Punk and Nash were in it all along as Punk's way of getting his ROH buddies into WWE. Punk can say he went for the help of Nash to help him get his friends in because Nash (as the one to get his way into WCW) knew how to do it. I know it's a stretch but kinda learned with Punk that some things are a stretch. in the new Nexus he would he said he'd sacrifice his body, so all these attacks from Nash, was planned.
So that looks good, Hunter get HBK back (unfortunately, it won't happen, HBK doesn't seem to want to come back) and form the DX.

I honestly think if you want to bring back the name nWo, for this younger generation who is viewing in now, this would be the right time for it. Bad time for us, right time for them.

If anything I really wanted to see this match take place at Hell in a Cell..... but who knows what is to come!

kinda was looking foward to seeing Nash in the ring. Was hoping they'd hold off on this match till survivor series..but they know what they are doing.....i hope

honestly the build up nash and punk had was great, but i dont think nash can go in the ring in a huge match. he moves rather rough in the ring, at least triple hhh can still go. now, this would be a good time to bring back x-pac, maybe nash and x-pac interfere in hhh and punks match. this could be interesting though. as long as punk comes out on top of course.

I hate the HIAC PPV. They just force HIAC stips on feuds that don't have the intensity or history that merits a HIAC match, simply because the calendar says it is October. Two of the 5 HIAC matches from this PPV over the last two years were completely unwarranted - Punk vs Taker in 2009 (which was a joke of a match) and Sheamus vs Orton. Right now the only feud where a HIAC seems appropriate is Orton vs Christian. If the last two HIAC PPVs are any indication then you are guaranteed at least two cell matches. I'm guessing that at least one of them will seem completely unnecessary in the storyline, especially if they end the Orton/Christian feud after Tuesday's live Smackdown cage match, which seems likely. Do many people really want to see Randy Orton vs Mark Henry inside HIAC?

How did they bury this major news in the worst possible place? The announcement got absolutely no reaction as Cena and Sheamus were still celebrating in the ring. They should have at least got Cena and Sheamus out of the ring, then ran the segment. It was a waste of an announcement, but could be a decent match.

There's a reason for this....

Looks like Nash/Punk will be at S.S

And maybe just maybe this means Punk and Austin at WM has legs, since they aren't saving PUNK/HHH for WM28. That or Jericho/Punk is going to happen!

I figured HHH vs Punk made sense for Survivor Series at MSG. That show will have a big-time feel since the Rock will be there.

I never expected HHH vs Punk at WM28 simply because WWE could never let an angle brew that long without a match (with the lone exception of Cena/Rock, which doesn't really count since they don't interact with each other on TV every week).

I would say somehow get X-Pac in this and have a match Nash and Pac Vs Cm Punk. That way Nash wouldn't have to be in the ring a lot X-Pac could do most of the wrestling. This would be a better idea if we all don't wanna see Nash fight in the ring. I'm pretty sure Waltman can still wrestle.

Thought it was too early at first but today when I think about it, HHH may be revealed as a heel at the PPV and align with Nash and maybe others and bring back a kind of corporation like in the Austin day. That way more people can get behind Punk because as we saw today some idiot are still stuck on the dumb CM Skunk or CM Suck joke made by Cena.

The kids needs to forget that Punk was mean to their beloved Cena so they can get behind him more. Nash got a small pop from them when he Jacknife Punk and HHH is still a face. So they need to fully turn.

I think they changed it at the last minute. At the start of the show, Nash vs Punk was probably going to go down but when HHH announced it, the crowd booed, so i feel they changed it at the very last minute.

As others have said, nice "twist" but this match should be saved for a big time PPV. I would love to see Punk fight all the corporate suits and wreak havoc and go into a big match with HHH at Wrestlemania.

Theres a few ways this can go:
1. The Match happens and this feud is over.
2. HHH gets hit with a car or jumped or something and someone steps in for the match.
3. Some incarnation of the fingerpoke of doom happens, where Nash, Punk and HHH align at the PPV. The alignment would be great, but not that way.
4. Nash turns on HHH, Punk wins and a long feud ensues with Punk/Nash/Others vs HHH.

I think it will be 4, We still have three weeks, so heres hoping they turn this around.
