Nigel McGuinness(Desmond Wolfe) Returning to Wrestling

[The Dragon Saga]

Nigel McGuinness, who formerly competed as Desmond Wolfe for TNA Wrestling, will return to the ring on November 12, 2011 for Heartland Wrestling Association at the Great Miami Event Center in Hamilton, Ohio.

It will be his first wrestling appearance by McGuinness since the summer of 2010, when he was sidelined with an undisclosed health issue. Following his release from TNA, he returned to Ring of Honor as a color commentator.

Great news. McGuinness is a phenomenal wrestler, as seen in both his Ring of Honor work and most recently his work for TNA, where he had feuds with the likes of Kurt Angle, was aligned in the Fortune stable alongside AJ Styles and Beer Money. A testement to his popularity while a member of TNA, was when TNA placed a poll on their official website asking who fans wanted to face RVD for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on an edition of iMPACT!

Nigel led the poll within an hour of it becoming activated and did so until it closed, facing Van Dam for the belt but coming up short. Great news for both McGuinness and wrestling as a whole, he was reportedly diagnosed with Hepititas C so it is fantastic to see the guy come back if that were the case, so early on as well.
