The Saints almost handed the game over with the missed field goals and dropped passes, but whatever... a win's a win. Our defense was superb tonight though. I couldn't be happier about that. And Brees and Thomas looked great, as expected.

Looking at it deeper, Peterson had 57 yards on 13 carries in the first half. Second half he had 30 yards on 6 carries.

5 yards a clip in the second half, close to 5 yards a clip in the first half. WHY THE FUCK DID WE NOT RUN THE BALL IN THE SECOND HALF?!?!??!?

Don't get me wrong, I love Chili, but he does this way to often. He goes away from something that is working and just tosses it aside. I recall him doing it against the Bucs the last time we played. AD had a strong first half and then he decided to work the passing game and AD did well on the few carries he saw for the rest of the game and we ultimately lost. A tough lost tonight, but the defense did pretty darn well against the Saints offense minus a few miscues. Hopefully we turn it around against Miami week 2.

I just got finished telling Becker that the Vikings could have easily won tonight if they had just been content with handing the ball off to Peterson, but they were too worried about getting Favre going in the 2nd half. Some terrible, terrible coaching tonight from Childress. I certainly don't mind though.
