It's a worthless set of exhibition games where rookies and practice team studs injure themselves or others for a roster spot. The regular season hasn't even started and six players are injured for the entire year in games that they didn't even get a check for playing in. An NFL Pre-season may not have anything to do with the exact cause of these injuries but is potentially losing your starters worth seeing who should fill out the special teams?

Its coaches decision to even play these guys during pre-season games, and most of them would rather have MORE pre-season games since practice time got reduced by the new CBA


Just as many if not more injuries come as a result of off-season workouts and OTAs than any pre-season games.

Yeah less pre-season games = far more injuries during Weeks 1-4 in the regular season, which defeats the whole purpose any way. Less practice time, less hitting in said practice, less everything is ending up equaling far more issues popping up like this.

ACL's are blowing like popcorn kernels at a startling rate since they've lowered the amount of practice time.

I think it just seems like preseason has more injuries, but really it has more to do with those being the first games back and the players just not being NFL ready at that point. By Week 1 most of them are up to speed with the game and therefor there are less injuries.

Also from what I heard Kevin White wasn't ready anyway. Dude apparently couldn't run a route worth a damn. He wasn't going to make a big impact numbers wise this season with the Bears.

Just got home from the Saints/Patriots game.

Saints first team looked fantastic. After tonight, I'm a LOT more optimistic about this season than I was before. We still have some shortcomings (specifically at WR, although Cooks is undoubtedly going to be one of the best receivers in the league for many years to come), but overall I think we have enough to have a very good team this year.

Looking through it, the Judge kept calling it the Pash (NFL Executive Vice President) / Wells report. One of the major rulings in Brady's favor was the NFL did not allow cross examination of Pash. Not only that but the judge pretty much shot it down that the Wells Investigation was "independent" especially since the lead counsel of the NFL was making major edits to the final report.

NFL is fucked basically, it's so air tight of a ruling that their appeal will fail.
