New Health Care Bill Passed and Other Political Chatter

Oh I'm right with you after 9/11. I wanted Osama and anyone else responsible on a plate. However, when's the last time he was even mentioned? It stopped being about him YEARS ago. Iraq was never once a part of anything. I could go on for days about how badly we fucked that up.

Off the top of my very tired head, didn't we have Osama cornered in a cave at one point, and ditched the plan to "smoke him out" because "it would cost too much"?

I'm not usually one to trade soldiers for anything, but he's the one person that could make an attack on our soil work, so I would have eventually accepted taking him out then.

As for Bush's appeal, simple. After Clinton we had a HUGE surplus. Gore's use for it (the rigth one): pay off some of the national debt. We couldn't have gotten rid of it but we could have punched it to the ground for a standing 8 count. Bush's solution (the bad one but the one that will get you votes): give it to the people. Granted they never got most of it because of the war but whatever. The tax cuts are another issue, as is Katrina, but whatever.

I forgot about the surplus, mostly because, as you said...I never fucking saw a cent...Katrina was a big clusterfuck...I don't even know where to begin on that one. It makes my brain hurt and my eyes twitch, and I'm not even close to New Orleans...

America sounds amazing.

Yeah, that system you and Canada have is FUCKING EVIL apparently, because we don't want the government's hands on OUR healthcare.

"Except for medicare and VA stuff but that's.........completely different, or at least we'll say it is so we don't look like the evil bastards we really are.""

Oh yea...Pure evil. I've been coughing up blood for the better part of a week, but I'd rather go to work than see a doctor and find out what's wrong. Makes me feel like a real American.

But hey man, be proud: you being sick is allowing Congressmen to sleep at night,, knowing they're good Americans for keeping you at work.

I seriously don't understand why America does not have the equivalent to the NHS. There isn't much more important than your health. Except, yano, putting holes in the moon and stuff.

You wouldn't last 10 minutes here. MONEY MEANS EVERYTHING! Screw health! WE NEED MONEY TO SURVIVE!

I can't even begin to explain how pissed that made me. My mom had to remind me it wasn't her idea when I wouldn't stop going off about it.

And there are more important things. Like fighting Bush I's war...And oil. Don't forget that.

I feel bad for you, We don't even have to carry cards for the NHS. We just walk in tell them your name, And hey presto your waiting for 3 hours.

Honestly, my first thought after reading about it was "They can't afford free healthcare, but this they can do?"

Obama's plan was this: you fill out a tax return, you have insurance. What's bad about that? Am I missing something?

Then you need a new government. If England can make it work I don't see why America can't.
The government has little to do with it. And poor health habits here and the fact we have more people than Canada and UK combined and then some.

I wish I had the luxury of this American policy. I don't have any insurance at all, so I basically have to be alert 24/7. I got options, but all long-term issues will kill me in the end. And to think I am stupid enough to enter the wrestling business.
