MLB Championship Series LD

Yes. I love Lee too much to see him go to the raging crap that is the Yankees. Mets I'm fine with. Or any of the other 29 teams (staying out of the AL Central would be nice as well). Just not NY. Maybe Boston can give them a run for their money.

I hope, at least.

We'll welcome in Cliff Lee any day of the week. We still have Beckett, but Daisuke has never lived up to his hype and most of our other starters are getting old.

So you don't like the Yankees (because of the money they spend), but want him to go to BOSTON or the METS (who much like the Yankees overspend and overspend). A bit hypocritical, don't you think?

And it's either the Yankees or Rangers. Yankees will offer the most money, and he's good friends with CC, but maybe he stays in Texas.

Yeah, their Injuries this year didn't help them at all this season either.

How's the payroll gonna look for them? Any big names coming off the market? They gonna go after Werth or Crawford or Lee or what? I'd probably go for a top of the line pitcher if I was them, which is obviously Lee. If they could make a deal for Greinke, I'd have no problem with it either.

I don't like the Yankees because it's the Yankees. The Mets are in the opposite league so I wouldn't care much about them and I'm quite partial to the Red Sox. One of my favorite teams in the league.

With a WS win, I could see Texas going all out to get him. Sell the farm and everything. He deserves it.

What the fuck kind of bullshit reason is that? That's the same god damn fucking excuse to hate the Yankess "Just cos they're the Yankees'. COME UP WITH SOMETHING ORIGINAL. GOOD FUCKING LORD.

You want a reason(s):

A) Majority of their fans are either bandwagoners or douchbags (can be said about most teams (except for the Pirates)) but these seem to be fans only because they win.
B) They can pretty much buy any guy they want. A-Rod makes as much as the Padres did this year, I believe. That's fucking ridiculous. No way should it be like that.
C) I prefer Boston teams. I like the Red Sox, Pats, and Celtics (don't care much for hockey outside of the Wings). So naturally I'm gonna be against NY, even if I'm a Detroit sports fan through and through.

So there's your reasons.

That's a fuck load better than "I hate the Yanks because they're the Yanks".

I've shown my dislike for the Yankees the entire season/playoffs, I didn't feel like making a long ass winded explanation. Storm knows my feelings towards them.

1. Jeter, Mo, and Vazquez are at the end of their deals. 2 of the 3 are coming back, and you can take a wild guess which one is gone (hint: it's Vazquez). However, Mo might get a cheaper deal, based on age, and Jeet will get a lifetime contract of sorts, in which his number might be less then it was before.

2. They most likely won't be going after an outfielder. They LOVE Gardner (with good reason), and Swisher too (again, with good reason). And Granderson is set in Center.
3. I doubt they will trade for Grienke, because he has HUGE, HUGE red flags because of the anxiety disorder thing he went through, and him flat out saying he might not do well in a big market. Plus he will have a hefty price, for a guy that wasn't as proven as Lee. It's Lee or a back of the rotation guy, or stick with what they have.

They actually have some intriguing guys in the minors too. Jesus Montero is the top catching prospect in the country (and is a top-5 prospect overall). He might get some big-league time, as could Austin Romine (another catching prospect, whom they are VERY high on). Ivan Nova (Starter) is another guy they are pretty high on, and he could end up being the 5th starter, and who knows what they will do with Joba Chamberlain, he could always go back to the rotation.

I was referring to the Red Sox, but that's cool too.

Also, I'm guessing Berkman was a few month rental? Almost seems like it would be way too crowded with guys if they kept him. Could actually be a pretty good DH.

And will Girardi get a big deal, or just another 3 year deal like he had?
