MLB Championship Series LD

Ladies and Gentlemen, the dejected face of Nolan Ryan

Oh hey look, George Bush.

And for the 9807234946949823745 time, the Yankees came back in the 8th inning or later.

Marcus Thames might have been the best Yankee Offseason move. Big Tiebreaking hit, and he has killed lefties all year.

What do Nick Swisher and Marcus Thames have in common?

They're both pick-ups that are overlooked, and end up being a vital part of the team.
Agred. And add Boone Logan to the mix. He was the throw-in in the Vazquez/Melky trade, and he has proven to be a solid lefty out of the pen. And Thames was a really really expensive guy, what with him getting a non-roster invite to Spring Training, and then the veteran minimum. And Swisher cost us Wilson Betemit.

Let's see if the Rangers can hold onto a 7-1 lead this time.

And the Yankees aren't gonna last long if their starters keep only going 4 IP. Their bullpen will be decimated quickly if they don't get their act together.

Well Cano just started the comeback, HUGE bomb to the upper deck in Right. 7-2 Texas. Plenty of time, and this team can easily get 5 runs.

The Yankee pen is VERY well rested. They had barely any work in the Twins series, and with a week off before this series, they should be good. And I would bet money on Andy going at least 7 innings tomorrow, he's one of the best postseason pitchers of all time. Besides, it's not like the bullpen failed yesterday.

Not saying their pen did. That's actually one of the main reasons why they won. But if they have to keep churning out 4-5 innings each game it'll eventually catch up to them.

you're right, but both Pettitte and Burnett are capable of going deep into games (yes, even Burnett who has been shit this yeah has ace stuff). And the CC start is an abberation, so you can't expect them the pen to keep getting so many innings, especially with the off day tomorrow.

And Texas used 5 pitchers in the 8th yesterday, so it's not like their pen is fresh.
