One last question. Do you have any idea why the won't complete the Survivor Series Anthology? It has been years since Vol 2 came out, and I have read that they don't really have any intention on finishing it? 97, 98, 99 are not available in dvd form at all, and it seems senseless not to do the other 2 volumes. Any ideas on why they won't?

I think the worst thing a entertainment company can do is release a anthology set in volumes. If fans don't like one of the volumes the rest of the set won't sell as well. If you do a anthology set it should be released as one set and not seperate volumes. It once again shows that WWE doesn't have a clue about its fans and what they want for DVD's. WWE a few years ago should of learned when they experimented anthology sets as a whole and then they tried to sell the same anthology sets in volumes and it failed miserably when volumes were sold. Anthology sets as a whole work much better because most of that event over the years fans like.

I am currently in the process of trying of to collect every single WWE PPV DVD. What I do is, every 2 weeks I buy myself an Amazon giftcard, then I put every single WWE PPV event that is on DVD into a list randomizer(Random.org) and then I purchase every DVD that shows up first on the list until I am out of giftcard money. Currently in the mail is:
Cyber Sunday 2006
Extreme Rules 2009
Over The Limit 2011
Vengeance 2006
Extreme Rules 2010

In the theme of WWE vs WCW this next set would probably sell close to 500,000 units. For a while now we hear who is Th Best In The World and lets finally put it to the test. Have a complete anthology set of every WWE Title match going against every World Heavyweight Title match. Also include promos and all matches the champion has been in as the champion even ifits a build up tag match for a future world title match!

I am doing the same thing actually. It is quite a task just to warn you lol. I have been collecting by months. I am almost finished with May and June PPVs. The only one I need for June is King of the Ring 2001. It's rare and expensive. I also have every survivor series minus 97, 98,99, as there are no dvds for those. I also have every non ppv WWE dvd. That was a bit easier but some of the rare exclusives were hard to come by. I would like to compare notes if you ever come on and see my reply. Maybe we can exchange emails of something. I have never met anyone trying to collect the same thing as me. Let me know what you think.

Well like I said before, I like to randomize which dvds I get. In a way it makes it more fun, and if you get a lackluster PPV, its not like you're wasting your money because (Hopefully) you're going to end up getting that PPV in the long run. Right now I have(PPVs)
Wrestlemania 28
Wrestlemania 27
Over The Limit 2011(In the mail)
Summerslam 2011
Wrestlemania 26
Extreme Rules 2010(In the mail)
Wrestlemania 25

Wrestlemania 23
Vengeance 2006(In the mail)
Cyber Sunday 2006(In the mail)
Wrestlemania 20
No Way Out 2004
Summerslam 2004
Backlash 2003
Vengeance 2003
King Of The Ring 2002
Survivor Series 2002.
I know that it is a weak collection, but I just started collecting 2 months ago so for now I'm not doing that bad.

That is quite a good collection for a couple of months. I also have Wrestlemania anthology, Royal Rumble Anthology, and Survivor Series Anthology vol 1 and 2. I highly suggest the anthologies because for the older ones it's the only way to get them on dvd, and it is much more cost effective as well. Survivor Series, Summerslam, and King of the Ring have dvds in 2000, but for the most part 2001 is the starting point for WWE dvds with the exception of the Anthologies of course. You will also find that 2001 is a very expensive year. 2002 can be pricey at times too. I will post my whole PPV collection later tonight. I like your idea of buying them at random to. The reason I went by months is because I can go to the dvd exchange store and buy like 5 survivor series dvds for like 15 bucks so I just kinda of started with what the store had. They are all in mint condition to. Like I said I would like to keep posting as we add to our collection if you are up for it. I will post my complete collection later.

I consider Wrestlemanias a special event, so instead of putting them in the randomizer, every other Amazon order I order the last 3 WMs. For example, the next time that I order from Amazon it will be WM 24, WM 22, & WM 21.

If you ever decided to buy the Wrestlemaina anthology set, it would consist of Wrestlemaina 1 to 20 and some have 21 as a bonus disc. I got the set almost brand new for about 80 bucks. Here is an item of note. Judgement day 2002 which I believe features the Undertaker defeating Hogan for the undisputed title goes for about 120 on ebay or amazon. I have seen it as high as 200 dollars. Still going to post my collection for you. Just haven't got to it yet.

Just watched and pre-ordered the CM Punk - Best in the World DVD:

Dream list of topics for him to be interviewed about:

- How over he was at SS 06 and how that lead to no push
- December to Dismember, being eliminated first
- Lashley being the next guy
- Losing to morrison so many times, only to win the belt cause of the drug scandal
- his World Heavyweight Championship reign and its shitty ending
- Punk v Hardy
- Still not being at the top
- What was going on behind the scenes that led to the infamous pipe bomb
- WWE's reaction to the fans wanting Punk so bad
- How he feels about being overshadowed in main events by Cena

That sounds interesting as far as the Punk dvd goes. I was wondering if anyone has checked out the Superstars collection dvds. The first two were Cena and Ryder. Had about 5 matches each on them. Daniel Bryan and Sheamus came out today and was looking for some feedback on these.

Just finished watching the new WWE DVD, "50" Greatest finishers in WWE history. As with just about all WWE DVD releases, this one is not without controversy.

3.HHH- Pedigree
2.Undertaker- Tombstone
1.Steve Austin- Stone Cold Stunner

Now in my personal opinion, I think the list is flawed. I would like to know how the list was compiled. It's just like WWE to try and insult the fans intelligence with lists like this one.

Even though the RKO and Diamond Cutter is the same move, I don't think RKO should have Ranked Higher than DDP's cutter.
Goldberg's Jackhammer is #19 behind the 619? No disrespect to Rey but I think The Jackhammer should have been in the top 10.

I could go on and on about this list, but I would rather get your thoughts on it.

The whole DVD, guys like Kofi Kingston, Matt Striker, Mason Ryan, CM Punk, Drew Mckintyre and others are putting litterally every move OVER!!! Can you imagine someone trying to convince you how devastating Hogan's Leg Drop is? And where the hell is Bad News Brown's Ghetto Blaster? I think that was one of the greatest finishers ever!

Anyway like I said, fun topic, your thoughts....

I was waiting for someone to talk about this DVD. WWE lists are always flawed. You are right that the Diamond Cutter should be ranked ahead of the RKO. The Legdrop though is one that I think we will need to get over. Hogan won many a match with that move, and I am sure a lot of causal fans know the legdrop. it is not devastating by any means, but there is a ton of history with that move. I also think Sweet Chin Music should have been in the top 5 at least. To me this list was made by factoring in the history of the move, how devastating it was at the time, and how many people were taken down by said move. When I bought the DVD I knew The Stunner would be number one. It was a fun dvd but flawed as usual.

That sounds interesting as far as the Punk dvd goes. I was wondering if anyone has checked out the Superstars collection dvds. The first two were Cena and Ryder. Had about 5 matches each on them. Daniel Bryan and Sheamus came out today and was looking for some feedback on these.

You know, I was in Bestbuy a few weeks ago and noticed they had a Zack Ryder DVD. I never heard about that release. What is it exactly and how many superstars did they put out? Are they worth the cash? And how come wwe never advertised them?

They have some repeats because its just not about ranking actual finishing moves. Its the wrestlers that help make the finishing move. Thats why you see Edge's spear and not Rhyno's gore or Angle's ankle lock not Swaggers or Shamrock's.

RKO >>>> Diamond Cutter. Its been the most over finishing move in the WWE for a while now. Some of the counters with the cutter Orton has done throughout the years have been amazing. It you just want to talk about who did it first, then the ace cutter beats both. Both guys learned the move from Johnny Ace.

Hogan's leg drop should absolutely be high on the list. When you think of Hogan you think of the leg drop. Hogan doing that simple leg drop will always get a pop from the crowd. Its not any more basic than Angle's ankle lock, Macho Man top rope elbow or Rock's peoples elbow. Its not a list of "moves that look the most painful" the wrestlers play a big part in their list.

Right now they have out Cena, Ryder, Sheamus, and Daniel Bryan. Orton comes out Sept 4 and HBK and Mysterio come out later this year. Not sure how many there will be. They are anywhere from 6 to 9 dollars from what I have seen, and they are short. Usually have about 5 matches on them. It's called the Superstars collection, and my guess is they came out as a cheap alternative to the 3 disc sets to entice parents to buy them for their kids. Not sure if that is the reason, but it makes sense. I am an obsessive compulsive WWE Dvd buyer lol, and that is the only reason I bought them to be honest. I would wait for netflix if I was you. Not bad discs overall though. Can't really answered as to why they weren't advertised.

I understand your point because you make a good one, my argument is that some of the finishers should rank higher than others. Ric Flair shouldn't rank as high as he did with the figure 4. How many of his 16 championships did he win with that move? When was the last significant victory he notched with the leg lock? I can understand Hogan and the leg drop, that makes sense. Rey's 619 is a great move but I personally don't think it made his career like Goldberg's finisher did for him. And that's not me being biased because I was never a big Goldberg fan. Good to get your opinion though!

The Stunner is a definite number 1, no arguments with that, or most of the top 10.

There is no way Eddie's Frog Splash should be as high as it is. I know love for Guerrero has increased ten-fold since he passed away, but there are far better finishers than that. Hell, RVD's Frog Splash should be higher than Eddie's.

Goldberg's Jackhammer should be nearer the top too, what other finisher has given anyone a winning streak like the Jackhammer did for Goldberg. Not to mention he could do it to anyone, even The Giant.

Mysterio's 619, Lita's Moonsault and arguably the Mandible Claw shouldn't have made the list.

That sounds like a really dull idea for a DVD compilation - and this is coming from somebody who owns The Big Show's DVD. It's on that same tier as WWE's Fifty Most OMG Moments (or whatever it was called) in as much as I'd expect to see it for free on WWE Bottom Line, or WWE Velocity, or WWE Synergy or whatever piece of shit one hour highlight show they're running this week; I wouldn't expect to pay twenty pounds or so to own it.

What's more intriguing is that they're releasing a special edition of Brock Lesnar: Here Comes The Pain:

WWEBD1367-front.jpg
WWE1367-front.jpg

From the description, I assume it's the same as the old version, but with more full length matches to bring it up to current WWE DVD standards:

The night after WrestleMania XXVIII, Brock Lesnar made a shocking return to the ring and leveled John Cena with an F-5, sending a message that after eight years, the pain is back! In 2002 and 2003, The Next Big Thing brought it to the biggest and baddest competition in WWE, becoming the youngest WWE Champion of all time and a household name virtually overnight. His awe-inspiring physique, amateur championship pedigree and affinity for punishing opponents made him an unstoppable force in the ring. Now, after years of dominating the MMA scene, Brock is back and looking to steamroll the biggest Superstars of today. This rerelease of the 2003 DVD, Here Comes the Pain, includes the original documentary that chronicles Brock's meteoric rise to fame, as well as six hours of additional matches not included on the original DVD! Plus, hear Brock's controversial comments upon his return to sport entertainment! . Fans can experience classic matches against Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton and many more!

Nah, the Diamond Cutter is better than the RKO. DDP has pulled off just as many awesome counters with the Diamond Cutter as Orton has with the RKO. DDP has also pulled off some amazing variety of ways to hit the Cutter. I'll post some counters & varieties below.

The Sweet Chin Music & Legdrop Of Doom should've been in the top 5 imo, and the Pedigree & Sharpshooter at #6 & #7. Jake's DDT at #8, #9, or #10.

Also I see repeats of moves, like Lita's Moonsault & Bigelow's Moonsault, and RVD's Frog Splash & Eddie's Frog Splash. What they should've done is just merged the superstars who used the same moves and have them at the same number instead of different numbers, e.g #35 - Moonsault (Bigelow & Lita), #32 - Frog Splash (RVD & Eddie), #25 - Ankle Lock (Angle & Shamrock), this way it would've allowed more different finishers to enter the list.

I just got the Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton Superstars collection dvds. That is a total of six now. Cena, Ryder, Daniel Bryan, and Sheamus are the other to have one of these dvds, and in October One comes out for HBK and Rey Mysterio. My question is does anyone know how long they are going to keep going with this collection, and what other Superstars are going to get a dvd. They are less expensive, and shorter dvds, but gave stars like Ryder and Kofi a chance to be on a dvd when they otherwise might not have gotten one. Does anyone else have any insight on what is to come for the Superstars Collection DVD set?

According to the main page the wwe is gonna be putting out a Goldberg DVD next year. There was a link that went to wwe.com an had a list of there whole 2013 DVD.

I love the face that now for some reason they are puttin some older stuff out. They are doing the best of wcw nitro volume 2. I grew up a huge nitro fan an I can't wait to get this second volume

But the one I can't wait to get is the best of war games. Ever since Vince bought wcw I was hoping they would put war games into there yearly Ppv. Can't wait to get this an see what classic matches they will have on this DVD. Also they are doing a best of in your house an another ecw DVD. Looks like next year will be a great year for DVD's. Your thoughts on these DVD an any other youd like them to put out

Wow that sounds like a great lineup. I was hoping for a best of war games, and a best of In Your House. I just picked up The Rock and Cena DVD last night. I have to admit the only reason I bought it is because I am in a pretty deep collection right now, and all it really is is the year long feud they had leading up to Mania. I came to post here just to mention how bad of a year this has been so far for WWE DVDs, but if the ones you said are really coming out next year then it will be worth this bad year to get to that good stuff.

Yea I have to agree with you on the DVDs this year. They have been really bad. The only one I have got this year is the ecw one that came out an the other day at Walmart they have summer slam 2010 an 2011 for 7 dollars so I picked those up. How was the rock an cena DVD. Is it worth the buy

Steer clear of the Rock Cena DVD. It is all of their tv appearance and all of those videos we saw 100 times. I think they should have waited several years to put it out. It was to fresh for me, and looked like they threw it together. I have been buying a lot of PPVs this year, and I did like the ECW dvd from this year, and they did Best of the Clash of Champions which was awesome. Other than that everything else was average. In Novemember we are getting a new NWO dvd and one called the Attitude Era. I have high hopes for those, and I hope I am not disappointed.
