While i think johnbragg's idea about Bob and Janice Carter was pretty cool, in the end I don't think it adds up. Abyss wouldn't be the type of character they would align themselves with. They are "business people" in this scenario and Dixie isn't "getting it done." But Abyss isn't a business-oriented character. He's bad for business. He's attacking random employees, branding them, brandishing a deadly weapon, etc. That's just my opinion. I think it ends up being an ex WWE faction, although I hope I'm wrong. That said, I think the build for it has been very good, even if I'm worried that the reveal will not be great.
Hogan and Bischoff would be too predictable. Plus, Abyss said that "they" will be here at 10 10 10, if it was Hogan and Bischoff, aren't they already there? I honestly think it's someone different (new) because of the way Abyss has worded it, or am I just reading too much into it?
I think the ex WWE guys idea could work but I don't know about Carlito being the head guy, it'd have to be Helms. I loved his work as heel Gregory Helms before he fucked his neck up. It would make sense aswell because they could play it off as WWE guys wanting to take over TNA and shut it down and they all played decent enough heels.
Well, he is attacking current TNA employees, and whoever "they" are, they want Dixie gone and noone's bigger than her. Plus, they could be taking advantage of Abyss' condition, being obviously crazy and all, so he'd do that for them. Who else would help some outsiders take his company over than a guy that's out of his mind?
I've also considered the WWE faction to be an option, but the only way that would work is for their leader to be Shane McMahon and I don't think that guy wants to even hear about wrestling.
Either way, I'm sure that Double J, Hogan and Bischoff are a part of "they". The best part about this is that I have absolutely no clue what's going to happen. All I know is that this could either make TNA or break them. We'll see what happens.
maybe it is the carters and if you had to think of two people who hate hulk hogan and easy e over the years who would you bring in to cause some problems? What if the carters brought in the one who started the nwo who had the money to back it the million dollar man ted dibiase and the one that hates the two of them the most the macho man randy savage. also to bring in added muscle with abyss bring in goldberg. if anything they can join sting and nash to really pull off an nwo invasion.
But I seriously think that "THEY" will be a major letdown, it seems like they've been doing this slow build to a huge surprise thats going to be a complete failure. So far Dixie Carter hasnt made the greatest wrestling decisions. Hopefully "THEY" can help TNA from turning into WCWv2.
Well see the problem with that statement is it sounds like something TNA would actually do, and that would ultimately be the worst possible thing for them to do. You want them to bring in 3 guys over 45 years of age to work the main program? Really? And then we can fire AJ Styles and Beer Money.

I believe that They could AAA promotion in Mexico. TNA would bring in there luchadors and have some what of a Team Mexico vs Team TNA war for a while plus TNA just recently signed Zorro, plus dont forget Abyss's wars with Judus Mesias and James Mitchell so this is a logical possibilty,
If not them , then ROH....Nah but who? wait till 10/10/10
"They" and "Deception" are the same angle.
Let's go back a year. July of 2009, TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett was ousted from the company due to his romance with Karen Angle, the ex-wife of the World Champion. Everybody was talking about who the new managers of TNA were going to be since Russo, Mantel and Cornette were Jarrett guys. Cornette and Mantel were let go and a few months later, Dixie Carter announces Bischoff and Hogan are taking over TNA. Hogan insists to the media that he is going to do the right thing for the business and change the company for the better.
Jarrett returns in December of 2009 and fixes things with Dixie, apologizing to her and Kurt Angle for the problems he caused. This all happened on iMPACT. It has absolutely no real place on television at the time because it was real and not a storyline up till this point. NOW, it's a storyline on television. After this, it was never spoken of again.
Kevin Nash starts claiming he is in communications with Hogan and that 'The Band' is back together and they are going to takeover TNA. Hogan's debut is set for Jan 4th 2010.
Hogan debuts and claims he is going to make TNA #1 and change the company for the better. Hall and Waltman arrive after talking to Nash and expect the nWo is going to wreck havoc over TNA. Hogan shuts them down, claiming he is going to do the right thing for the business. Nash comes out and says "That's not the conversation we've been having." Hogan denies it and dismisses them. Sting watches from the rafters, looking suspicious of the proceedings. He knows something is up.
Foley is ousted in favor of Hogan, who seems a little bit too determined to keep him out of the building. After Foley gets into the building, Bischoff has Hall, Waltman and Nash attack him after Foley threatens Bischoff. After this point, Bischoff deals with Foley and eventually gets him out of TNA. Hogan washes his hands of it and NEVER stops Bischoff from trying to screw Foley.
Bischoff and Jarrett feud at the same time but eventually, with little real explanation, make up after Sting returns and starts claiming something fishy is going on. Sting goes on for months about deception and how Hogan and Bischoff are not here to help TNA but are here for their own benefit. Dixie Carter, Mike Tenay, Taz and others dismiss his accusations are deranged conspiracy theories.
EV2 arrives, leading to Mick Foley's return thanks to Dixie Carter without the permission of Hogan or Bischoff. They play nice though and go along with it. Meanwhile, Kevin Nash loses Hall and Waltman as they are let go by the company and starts questioning Bischoff and Hogan. Nash, in an effort to meet with Bischoff, runs into Miss. Tessmaucher, Bischoff's assistant and alludes to spending some 'quality time' with her. The next week, Nash suddenly turns and agrees with Sting that something fishy is going on and the truth is NOT out. Sting and Nash team up at this point.
The Pope recently went to meet with Bischoff but instead had a night with Miss Tessmaucher as well. The Pope suddenly 'turns heel' and accuses Bischoff of something. He meets with Sting and Nash as they ask what Pope was told by Tessmaucher. Pope says "You know?" and Sting says "What do you think we have been fighting for this whole time?"
"They" is Hogan, Bischoff, Jarrett, Abyss, Samoa Joe (who was recruited when he was kidnapped) and probably 1 of the 3 to-be-World Champions. More than likely Mr. Anderson as Bischoff and Hogan, in storyline, brought him into the company.
This Video is a good companion piece to my post.
Watch THIS VIDEO with the assumption that Hogan and Bischoff are heels and it takes an entirely different meaning.
