Agreed that for a guy who is in relativly good physical shape (ie: without the crazy muscular look of steroids and in the sense of not having the nagging career shortening injuries of someone like Rey or Edge) and with such incredible experience in the ring, this will be a major loss for WWE. Jericho will however go on to pursue his other interests for a while. At least I hope so - i have a ticket for Fozzy in Norwich in October

He is also relativly young when you consider some of the current names ECW and TNA. If this is his last hurrah then THANK YOU CHRIS and good luck in whatever you pursue. I somehow doubt it though. Remember it's a scripted TV show....just cos he said that if he lost you would never see him again, it doesn't mean that's it. There are any number of ways you could bring him back. And he'd still be young enough in 3 years time to get back on top of his game as a fresh new character much like when he left the first time.
What I think is a sad reflection of the current state of modern wrestling is that Jericho has nowhere to realisticly be other than WWE. He's too good for TNA. Before TNA lovers get on to me (and I by no means hate it) I will explain my point..... The potential is there for Jericho to be the best potential acquisition (sic) in modern wrestling sice WCW got Bret Hart. However, like Bret in WCW, TNA would no doubt have him wrestling Nash, Flair, Jarrett, Sting and the like. You have the marquee matches with RVD, Angle & Hardy and you can also have him to share some of his wealth of experience and talent with young guys such as AJ, Abyss, Pope, Wolfe, Anderson and Kaz. Jericho is an amazing performer capable of polishing a turd into a golden nugget (I even dug his match with Khali on Raw recently) and there are several dream matches he could have. However, I find it much easier to imagine TNA having him job to Sting or Hogan before I could see them using him properly.
I wonder what he could do for ROH if he was signed to them,,,,,but I digress.
I honestly believe Jericho is too smart to go to TNA and will stay WWE for life. Maybe the Hall of Fame for Wrestlemania 29?
