**Merged** Daniel Bryan Discussion

I am so happy this happened. Bryan Danielson has worked his ass off for 10 years to be noticed by the WWE. He has been fired for bullshit reasoning and Bryan is actually a good worker compared to others. I think Bryan will be a fighting champion for sure and maybe even some new theme music?

Hopefully, Bryan winning the US title means Kaval will capture the Intercontinental title and maybe we will see a unification match between the two at Wrestlemania 27?

This is awesome! I'm obviously a HUGE Bryan fan, so it's great to see the guy get a midcard title in the WWE so soon. I have no doubt that this will lead to Bryan going into many feuds with various midcarders. We may finally have a fighting US Champion again, after so long! This was the logical thing to do, and kudos to WWE for actually doing it! I can't wait to see where Bryan goes from here.

What do you think about Bryan's victory?
This was awesome, sorry Miz, but i liked this move. First off, Miz hasnt defended the title for a LONG time. Now Miz could possibly have a rematch and lose that match (maybe by a roll up thanks to Alex Riley???) then he can go after the WWE title at the next pay per view or continue to hold onto that case. I think WWE will end up having The Miz beat Randy Orton, the fans LOVE Orton which makes a Miz cheap WWE title win make him even more of a heel than he is. As for Daniel Bryan, my hope is after his feud with Miz is over, that he feuds with various members of The Nexus for the US title, then move on to other guys, maybe even Ted Dibiase??? BUT this pay per view in my book had one of the WORST ideas. I am NOT a fan of giving Cody Rhodes a Tag Team title run, bad move there. He's too good a singles wrestler to put him back in the Tag Team division.

First Congrats to Bryan Danielson for becoming the new United States Champion. Now im not a huge fan of either wrestler but i highy respect what Bryan can do in the ring. Same goes for Miz but mostly his Mic skills. Tonights match was a very good match for both men.

I think the best part of this matchup was that there is now a new United States Champion. The Miz has to be one of the worst champions in recent years(besides recent Bret Hart but we won't count that), and I say this because whenever he was champion for his 2 reigns he rarely defended the title. The US title was used as more of a prop for Miz to make him look credible. It worked. The Miz did look Awesome when he walked to the ring with MITB briefcase and the US title. What happened to the 30 day defending a title rule? He may defend it at house shows, but who knows that besides the few thousand fans there?

Bryan Danielson is an excellent technical wrestler. He reminds me of a modern Dean Malenko. With that said I could see Bryan in a bit of mid-card feuds with the US title at stake. With the Miz now dropping the US title he can now focus on the Main Event picture. This could even leave a door open for a feud with Miz's protoge Alex Riley and Danielson. Who knows there are soo many options. Im just glad the Us title is off Miz and I really hope we see it defended and use more regularly.

Hopefully, Bryan winning the US title means Kaval will capture the Intercontinental title and maybe we will see a unification match between the two at Wrestlemania 27?
i hope not, Listen, i WANT Kaval to be the IC champion, BUT i do NOT want a unification match, KEEP all the titles WWE has now, i think the number of titles is now perfect. WWE NEEDS two World titles, two mid card titles and ONE Tag Team and Women's title because of the lack of Women's wrestlers and Tag Teams, however, WWE has WAY too many wrestlers to have one midcard title and one world title.

Wow, there are a lot of dumbasses. DBD is great, he cuts great promos, when he was with Michael Cole and the Miz, and he made outstanding matches. Anybody who thinks Daniel Bryan sucks could suck John Cena's dick, I bet thats why they watch wrestling. Daniel Bryan winning is awesome, he probably will rise the midcard divsion, and make great matches. Miz could just win the WWE Champion, he's ready for it. All those dumbasses are the typical little kid wrestling fans in the wwe.

Congrats to Daniel Bryan well deserved. I like Miz but he was a shitty US champion. He barely defended it. Hopefully Byran has a nice run as champ and has some great matches.

but dude how does this free up the miz for the main event..it doesnt this jus means that the miz will fight this fool again..UPSETTING! i jus hope he learns a submission cuz i believe thats wat WWE is pushing for the miz...

Didn't you watch the damn match? The Miz was awesome in the ring for ONCE. The Miz looked very good. Who cares if Miz lost, British Bulldog beat Bret Hart for the mid card title, look at Bret Hart's world title reigns. Daniel Bryan is in for a very good title run. Miz still has money in the bank. The future is bright.

that someone would even have the nerves....no,the BALLS to say Daniel Bryan can't wrestle.....it almost makes me want to commit crimes.

Your obviously someone who didn't even know about this guy until he was on NXT he sucks, noone cares what he did before, he cant just walk in and get a title, and your stupid for thinking he can wrestle

I'm happy that Daniel Bryan won the belt but i'm disappointed that the Miz didn't cash in the MITB on Orton. It could have led to a Orton/Miz feud which i would have like to see.

It's a perfect spot... this leaves room for a rematch at Hell In a Cell where Bryan can retain the title and then move on to an undercard match against Riley at Survivor Series... Or maybe even be in the survivor series match with Riley on the opposing team.

I could see the riley and daniel bryan feud being a great way for wwe to build two guys at once without spending much money at the same time.

you must be on meth or some other hard drugs. i am glad DB won the US title from the miz! if daniel bryan was in TNA and he won the X-division title from aj styles you would've been marking out like a kid in a toys r us store and you would've given TNA creative 2 thumbs up!

FACE IT! TNA CREATIVE SUCKS! if TNA creative was "better" then WWE creative TNA's ratings would be at 2.0-4.0 instead of being stuck at 0.8-1.5 every thursday.:lmao:

why are u talking about TNA??? bryan just SUCKS n speaking of TNA i dont think there that stupid to give this guy a belt, maybe a belt across the back i would tune in to watch that :lmao::lmao: tna creattive might suck but dont act like wwe is better.. 10 years in the indys hahahah he needs to go back wrestling in halls and gyms... giving david arquette the wcw belt was a better move than wwe giving this guy a belt... WWE BOOKING SUCKS

It was pretty predictable Daniel Bryan was going to win. Belt was on Miz for too long and he never defended it much. oh yeah just putting it out there, does anyone else like Daniel Bryan's jobber like entrance music? It sounds dope.

Well nobody can complain. It is all positive from here, Miz can move on after he wraps up this feud with Daniel Bryan Danielson (DBD) and hopefull enter the main event scene. DBD will actually be a champion who defends his title. Daniel Bryan can build himself up and truly showcase how good he really is, because the WWE universe has a lot to see from this guy. He hasn't really showcased all his skills yet, but when he does the casual fans will learn to adore this guy. BTW i cannot wait for Michael Cole's reaction.

I was quite happy when Bryan won the title, particularly after having such a damn good and competitive match against The Miz. If you generally look at the booking for NOC overall, it was a near perfect example of the WWE doing what needed to be done. The Miz is ready for the main event, so he dropped the title to Bryan. Bryan has already been pretty over with the crowd, but they were going nuts during the match tonight. Daniel Bryan is a bonafied star after tonight.

I’m pretty happy with this result. I wanted Bryan to win but there was a small part of me that wanted Miz to go on to win the WWE title while still holding the US belt but it wasn’t really a viable move to make. The time to pull the plug on Miz is approaching now that he’s lost the belt but that’s for another discussion.

Bryan should be a great champion, one that will fight and defend it more often than usual. I hope he keeps the belt for a good 5-6 months while feuding with plenty of guys. What this also shows is WWE’s faith in him even after all that stuff he was supposedly fired for. To give him the title now shows WWE sees potential in him and rightfully so. This is a great step in the right direction for Bryan and I hope it continues.

Yay! Brian did it. Big whoop. Reminds me of '98 when The Rock dropped the IC title to HHH only to go on to win the World Title. Enjoy your mid-card title and you future as the next Benoit minus the double murder/suicide, hopefully.

He is a great wrestler but we all know that isn't enough to make it up north. Bland doesn't equal money.

All this does is allow Miz to focus on being the next WWE champ.

Signed, Michael Cole. Lol

Oh wow, you started posting here? I remember you from Bloop, years ago.

Anyway, you're not really giving DBBD a chance, here. You've seen the explosive personality when he went after both Michael Cole and the Miz, during NXT1. It's not like he's incapable of having a personality. My guess is, they're giving him a "generic wrestling personality #72" and seeing where his mat skills will take him. The problem with that is, nobody is paying attention.

Having him lose every single match he was in during NXT1 made him appear weak, and now he looks like someone who can just barely beat The Miz, if he really, really, REALLY tried. He just doesn't look like the threat he was made out to be during his feud with Michael Cole. The fact that they're letting him use the cross-face finisher isn't going to help with his bad-ass-improvement plan, seeing as the WWE has erased Chris Benoit from history.

I'm very pleased that he won the championship. There will probably be a rematch at Hell in a Cell that Bryan will win again to soldify his status in the WWE, and give the Miz another awesome match to add to his credentials when he does his run for the Main Event title.

But I do have misgivings. In his return to the feud with the Miz, he's been booked somewhat poorly in regards to showing his arsenal of moves. The American Dragon has been a dominating figure in the indies for the last 10 years, yet he hasn't handled the Miz very well. I figure if they let him show off a lot more of his arsenal and have him as a fighting champion on Raw and Superstar shows then he could get over with the crowd much more swiftly.

he sucks, he cant wrestle, and i dont care if the whole wwe universe loves him, he didnt deserve to win

Yes...Daniel Bryan cannot wrestle. LMFAO!:lmao::banghead::lmao:

Seriously, I am made up for Bryan, he has earned this title run through years of hard work and sacrifice on the indies. Proof that good things come to those who wait and work hard to achieve their goals.

Well done Dragon

Well it made sense, and it was needed for Bryan to come out victorious in this. The Miz needed to loose as well to leave him able to focus on the future, as well as giving Bryan something to work with because obviously this Miz / Bryan feud won't carry on for very long.

He looked good last night, and he showed that he is here to stay. I liked the thought of Bryan as United States Champion, because it has a kind of nice feeling to it. I can't wait to see what WWE has up their sleeve for Bryan, but while I enjoy the thoughts of carrying out Miz vs Bryan, I think he needs to move forward quickly.

Seriously though, he's a champion now can the dude get some theme music that can actually be identified?

Anyway, as I said, the guy's a great US Champion and in do time I'd love to see either Kaval or Ziggler in the unification match against Bryan.

It makes perfect sense. Bryan's Lebelle Lock is being built up as the most dominant submission since Benoit's Crossface. No one is meant to escape from that hold and Miz tapping doesn't make him look weak. In fact, it makes him look like the first in what could be a long line of great wrestlers who submit to that move.

Bryan is now the king of the midcard and there are some interesting challenges ahead for Bryan. Miz will most likely remain as Bryan's main challenger but I suspect that Riley may also sneak into the picture. Bryan looks to have been placed in a really good position. Best of Luck to Both.

This was the most logical move so I can't say I'm surprised this happened. There's really no point in Miz holding the US title and the MITB and the midcard title really needs to be relevant again (ie: being defended in a regular basis). Hopefully this will finally translate to Miz finally breaking out of the midcard and transitioning into the main event.

As for DB, I only see good things coming out of this. I foresee great midcard matches and hopefully a long title reign out if DB. Hopefully being champ will give DB more airtime to work on his mic work. He's by no means bad but he could use some work on it. Props to DB. This is a long time coming.

That was a great moment when the Miz tapped out. Let's just hope the WWE doesn't disappoint in using Daniel Bryan during his US Championship reign. With a strong beginning like this, he shouldn't be demoted anytime soon in upcoming encounters. He has a great collection of guys to feud with too. I can't think of any technical wrestlers in the mid-card that can match Bryan's credentials though. I think it'd be cool if he were to have a series of matches with William Regal, as unlikely as that rivalry would be. Anyway, I'm interested in how the Miz will redeem himself in order to get ready for main event status. I still find it weird that he has never been able to defeat Bryan yet. Bryan dominated this feud.

In what was a fucking excellent match, it was nice to see Daniel Bryan walking away with the United States Championship after a long and turbulent relationship with The Miz.

I said last night that it would make a lot of sense to take the US Championship away from The Miz so that he could focus his energies on going after the WWE Championship and becoming a main-stay in the main event talent list. It seems as though that was the plan for the WWE all along and I think that everyone is going to be a winner from this equation.

Daniel Bryan beat one of the most promising talents on the roster last night and beat him clean as he tapped out in the middle of the ring. Not only did he do that but he looks to be getting a lot of praise from the WWE. I think they know what a talent he is and I also think that they are going to be using him in a similar way to The Miz. I fully expect him to be feuding with Alex Riley over the next couple of months as The Miz tries to get the WWE Championship away from the one man who is more over than he is. Riley would be a good choice and perhaps Bryan could give him a nice rub from it.

Basically, the WWE have pulled off a masterstroke that almost everyone expected from the, Daniel Bryan looks like a good Champion already and The Miz is free to go onto bigger and better things. Riley is likely to get the orders from The Miz to try and win back the US Championship and that will excite the fans. All in all, it was a great match and an even better result.

I am so happy for Mr. Danielson. He deserves it and I think only good things can come from putting the belt on him.

First of all, he looked great last night and he managed to get the best match yet out of The Miz. All I can really hope for is that he makes the belt relevant again. The Miz has made the belt virtually nonexistent over the last few months. Hopefully he puts on some good title defenses and gets some of the belt's prestige back.

Where he goes from here is something I'm not quite sure about. I'm sure there are other possibilities, but right now I can only think of him feuding with DiBiase or maybe Alex Riley, if you are not counting the other faces. It will be really interesting to see what they do next with him and his new championship.
