**MERGED** Chris Jericho At The Royal Rumble- KEEP IT ALL IN HERE!

Heres a thought:

What if, by ''the end of the WORLD as you know it'' Jericho wasn't refering to CM Punk, but was actually refering to WORLD Wrestling Entertainment. Maybe he is planning on taking down the WWE from the inside. Possibly got himself a gang of brutes lined up for an attack ala Nexus?? Maybe it will turn out to be the ''higher purpose'' that Wade Barrett mentioned so many times, yet we never actually found out what it was. These are just a few different ideas i had whilst trying to defect away from the same old CM Punk/Jericho ideas.

Thoughts??

He means that he, Stephanie McMahon and John Laurinitis, are going to usher in a new WWE era. No more days of "pipe bombs" and silliness.

Jericho wins the Rumble.

Yes, well, his "end of the world as we know it" pronouncement is meant to be overkill. On the night he returned, he displayed an aura of self-importance that was meant to be obnoxious.....and it's working!

That first night, he paraded around the ring celebrating himself and demanding that the entire audience join him.....for way, way too long. It was all meant to show that he was already (kayfabe) changing the life of everyone in the WWE Universe for the better, just by showing up. So, it's hardly surprising he feels his presence at the next PPV will affect everyone in similar fashion.

Yes, I also believe he'll win the Rumble. No, that won't actually change our lives, but the uber-heel character he's building would dictate that he thinks it will.

The only other "life-changing" thing he could do is win the Rumble and somehow also win the world title on the same night. I can't imagine how he'd bring that off......but if anyone can, it's Y2J.

However before he stated this, he played some footage of this career highlights. I'm not sure if anybody else noticed this, but as far as I could see all the footage shown was HEEL jericho footage.

You are incorrect. Footage was shown from his 2nd Coming return in which he was a red hot face. There were a smattering of other face clips as well. The video was heavier on heel content, but by no means totally heel.

As for what's going to happen, I'm all for Jericho winning the rumble, even winning it without eliminating anyone. Screwing Punk I'm not a fan of, it's not time for Dolph to carry the belt yet, and hotshotting it to him and then back would diminish Punk and the title.

My prediction for Jericho winning. He enters the rumble at lets say...one of the last 5 spots. He goes in the ring, starts yelling and what not (yeahh, yeahh, yeahh), exits the ring through the ropes (not over), when the final 2 is in the ring, one eliminates the other, then all of a sudden Jericho comes from behind and tosses him over.

I am really, really trying not to get my hopes up. We've been burned too many times in the last few months. Really excited about the "promo" and punk leaving. BOMBED. Kevin Nash Conspiracy. BOMBED. R-Truth and Miz reforming an NWO like faction. BOMBED. Videos for a return...BOMBED.

I expect a Jericho Royal Rumble win. He challenges Punk like everyone expects. I'd love to see him end up trying to unify the WWE/World championship at Wrestlemania. I think in terms of the actual match...Daniel Bryan/CM Punk/Jericho would tear the house down...

Whatever happens, I hope this ends with the WWE getting rid of the Spinner belt. Jericho isn't committed to doing this long term and I don't see the WWE committing to him for the long term. CM Punk has to eventually come out on top.

Does anyone think Stephanie McMahon could be the "she" and this could be the start of a new corporation? Stephanie, HHH, JL and Jericho leading the bunch?

As for Jericho not committing, I believe I saw an interview with the Winnipeg Sun recently where he said he is in the best shape of his life and plans on staying for a while this time around.

It is always about this time every year that you can predict the WM main events. I reckon we'll see Randy Orton win the Rumble last eliminating Y2J but Y2J will certainly play a part in the WWE Title match on Sunday but Punk will still retain. It might be a post-match attack because Y2J wants to be the one to "end the world" which I think he refers to as Punk's claims at being the best and not let someone like Dolph win the title. At the Elimination Chamber, I see Jericho winning the WWE title in a chamber match involving himself, Punk, Cena, Kane, Miz and Ziggler.

I see Jericho winning the Rumble and making it clear that he will unify the title once again. This will setup an amazing triple threat between Daniel Bryan, Punk and Jericho. Since Jericho is only in for the short haul, Punk will win and become the undisputed champion. Jericho can then leave, but only after he proclaims that he gave everyone what he promised, "The end of the world as we know it".

Few possibles as to "The World" Jericho was referring to:

End of the World could be a reference to an NWO faction seeing as NWO stands for New World Order. This would tie in with people saying Jericho will somehow screw Punk out of the title at RR.

JL stated he would call it right down the middle and be fair. Come on JL is a heel, and he's selling it very well right now. JL not being an active talent is doing a great job of seeming intimidated and scared of Punk but with JL's role as GM it's plausible that he got Jericho to come back and at RR how about after Punk beats Ziggler in a tough match JL announces Punk has to defend again. Enter Jericho.

ANYONE can enter the Rumble match. Even JL...What if Jericho cleans house coming it at say 22 and takes out some big heels, okay we know he is a heel but it's not in concrete, this would create yet another twist. Then as Jericho waits 30 comes out and it's JL. Jericho eliminates himself from the match. This could then be questioned by HHH and JL loses his Rumble win and with Jericho the only one left he gets the WM title shot.

Here's one that's still on the cards as well...

WWE thrives on having "The Streak" on the line at every WM now. But no sign of Taker yet. Punk beats the odds to keep his title, Jericho wins the Rumble. The next night on Raw they close off the show with a great back and forth promo about who's the best and that it will be proved at WM etc... BOOM lights out, the gong hits, lights back on and both men turn in to a double chokeslam.

From here it's simple, Undertaker vs. Punk vs. Jericho at WM. This allows Undertaker to not be involved in every spot so he can work a little lighter while still being involved in a classic.

Remember though people it doesn't mean that everything will be revealed at RR. The simplicity at RR involving Jericho and Punk would obviously be a let down but then Taker surprising with a return the next night makes that let down relevant and not a waste.

Just my thoughts on it although odds are it will just be a simple "screw job" type angle despite my hoping that WWE actually do something great here as Jericho has been flawless since his return and the mystery is very slowly unraveling.

Go to the 4:20 mark to see the greatest Highlight Reel on the Highlight Reel.

I think Jericho will win the 2012 Royal Rumble. I think “She” is the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. I believe he’s going to challenge both the WWE Champion and the World Champion to try to unify the Titles and once again become the Undisputed WWE World Champion once again. Who better to face CM Punk AND Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania this year?? I’m not suggesting retiring the World Title. I’d rather see Jericho walking around with 2 Belts again like he did 10 years ago. He should be able to defend one or the other or both if he chooses to. I would like to see him go from Raw to Smackdown and back every week, similar to his run with the Big Show as the Unified WWE World Tag Team Champions. This would truly decide who the Best In The World really is.

Having both the Top 2 Championships together in one match could even Main Event and end WM XXVIII, being that such an idea shouldn’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t be overshadowed by The Rock vs. Cena. Surely Jericho’s Undisputed WWE World Title match at Mania couldn’t be overshadowed by the Rock’s second “Passing of the Torch” match at Mania again…can it??

You know how he said "This Sunday at the Royal Rumble, it's going to be the end of the world as you know it"

CM Punk claims he's the best in the world, and thus Jericho is going to end it.

I really like your idea and I hope it is true! However, this is WWE and like they fucked up New Nexus, Punk leaving, Nash/Triple H texting they will probably fuck up this. Jericho wins Rumble and challenges Punk...that will be it. Maybe throw in Bryan so he goes Undisputed again. Although this idea could be very interesting if there are twists and turns involved.

I got so many thoughts but 1 truly sticks out. What if when he says the end of the world he's talking about world wrestling entertainment? The "she" who sent him hasn't been revealed so what if she was Dixie? What if we have a new invasion? They could have Jericho come out as number 30 and do the whole lights out light up jacket thing and when the lights come back on the ring is surrounded by TNA guys... that would be kinda cool u gotta admit

What if Jericho has nothing to do with CM Punk.

What if Ziggler and Punks feud continues till WrestleMania?
What if Punk faces Kane at Mania, keeping Kane Relevant?
What if someone like the Miz steps up and faces Punk?
What if Punk loses the WWE Title at EC or RR?

Alot of things have to go right for the WWE Title match to be CM Punk vs Chris Jericho at WM.

My question is, why don't Y2J face The Undertaker at Mania?
The build would be great. The "End" could be referring to Takers Streak.
Just something to think about.
At RR he could win, and trade his spot a title match for a Taker match, or simply announce his want to end the streak.

I have been saying this since October!

Good idea and I've been onboard with this for some time now. I could see Jericho winning the Rumble and then picking up the mic and saying he's already won the WWE Title and World title multiple times so the only thing left for him, the self proclaimed best in the world, is to go for wrestling immortality and end The Streak, at Wrestlemania. Then have the lights go out and gong to end the Rumble.

This would also allow them to have both Elimination Chamber matches at the next PPV be for the belt or #1 contender spot since one of the of the #1 contender spots wouldn't already be taken by the winner of the Rumble.

This is a clever idea. But there's one flaw: if WWE bought TNA, why in the world would Vince keep Dixie Carter around? She's not charismatic, not entertaining, and not pretty. If there ever were to be a TNA invasion, the best bet would be to have Eric Bischoff be the figurehead, because WWE audiences will already be familiar with him.

With that being said, I like the idea that's floating around about Jericho entering at #30 and winning without eliminating a single person. I'd put my money on that one. Something big is going to happen with him, but I just can't see him getting involved in CM Punk/Ziggler's match. With a special guest referee already, and Mick Foley's potential involvement, that's sounds like some serious overbooking if you add Jericho to the mix.

I think now it is a given that Chris Jericho will win the Royal Rumble. The reports have been blured between a Wade Barrett or Randy Orton or Sheamus win, but with the fact that Chris Jericho vs CM Punk for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania could very happen, it seems logical for him to win the Royal Rumble.

The fact that he is Johnny Ace's boy is another thing. But last night on Raw got me thinking. Triple H is returning. The "she" in the video. Johnny's boy. All these have been either announced or rumoured. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon return, keep Laurinaitis as GM and become allies with Jericho. Seems like something like this will pan out.

yeah i really just thinks a jericho/punk set up...Best Wrestler in the World, the end of the World as you know it...seems logical...jerichos work has been stellar since he's been back btw

In a WWE exclusive interview with Daniel Bryan the other day, he talked about CM Punk and Jericho saying they were the best in the world and responded by saying everyone has called him the best in the world since 2005. I see a triple threat match for Mania between the three (and quite possibly one of the best matches of all-time). It could be for the WWE title, "Undisputed" championship, or even the title of best in the world. "The end of the world (heavyweight championship?) as you know it." As much as I hate the idea, it's a possibility.

I like it! They also showed Jericho as the undisputed champion longer than any other championship in the video? it may only be for a few more seconds, but its still a possibility?

" It Will Be The End Of The World As You Know It "

I'm already bored with this storyline, which has been goofy from the start. I get why they are doing this, to get us to 'hate' (i.e. turn Jericho heel) him, but it's not even that. It's just stupid! He comes out, doesn't speak for weeks, and acts like a goofball. Understand, I don't 'wrestling hate' him or see him as a heel. I just see this is more bad writing for a character and what's really disappointing about that is how on target he's been in the past with his storylines and his character. Now it seems they've just run out of ideas for bringing him back and have settled on this crap.

I like your thinking on this and could actually see this swerve coming or even a HHH, Nash reunion, as they team up with Jericho and Laurinitis to screw CM Punk.

Laurinitis acts like he's calling the match straight, CM Punk gets blasted from all sides in some fashion by HHH, Nash, and finally Jericho, and Laurinitis 'acts' like he doesn't see the interference, and we have a NEW WWE Champion in Dolph Ziggler. Then on Raw the next night, Ziggler gets swerved by the gang and loses the strap to Jericho, turning Ziggler face and then you have a HHH/Jericho v. Punk/Ziggler feud.

I also like your idea of a Jericho/Taker feud and have been wondering if The Dead Man won't return at The RR in a shocker! It's Jericho and Taker the last 2 in the ring, Taker wins, Jericho goes full blown heel, and there you have it.

I must admit that I love the TNA angle to this idea and how shocking would it be to the IWC if that really happened? Let's see if I can further the conspiracy.

1. Flair is slated to appear at the WWE HOF induction for The 4 Horsemen.

2. Angle posted on twitter that JR will call his last match.

3. Dixie Carter tweets that she believes Sting will retire at the end of 2012, meaning Sting FINALLY is associated with WWE, but feels compelled to walk away at the end of the year for personal reasons. As a follow up, he gets offered HOF. Does he accept? Hmmm...

How's that for conspiracy theory?
