Matt Hardy has everyone fooled.

Honestly, I still think Matt is just being whiny because he believes his own internet hype. Now, if it turns out the entire thing was all part of some elaborate angle to try and garner him more popularity, then you're right. Matt Hardy is a genius! If that happened, I would shit my pants in surprise and root for him all the way to the top. But again, I really don't see it happening. Matt has said a lot of things over the years, and I just think he's too interconnected in the back for the WWE to just cut him after all this time. But you do have me at least mildly interested by bringing up that Vince would FREAK OUT if Matt ever legitimately posted all this stuff about his contract expiring and whatnot.

Matt's contract is running out and WWE doesn't give a damn, and won't fire him because it'll cost them a shit ton of money to fire him before his contract expires. So instead they bench him and let his time run off the clock, and let him go out at the bottom of the barrel without even a goodbye to the fans. I'm assuming by now that Matt has a hefty tenure with the company, and cutting him isn't as easy as cutting somebody like Chris Masters.

Here's hoping he really stays fired this time. Now Matthew is free to eat grapes, post internet rants, and set the wrestling world ablaze somewhere else. Could "they" be in his future? Who knows? More importantly who cares?

Was anyone fooled? In the end maybe the biggest person fooled was Matt himself. *shrug*

well...I'll be honest I really didn't see this coming (obviously)

but I suppose I'm man enough to admit I was completely wrong about this whole thing, unless it was a Daniel Bryan type firing, which I still wouldn't be entirely surprised by.

For Matt's sake I hope he doesn't end up in TNA, where the twilight of his career will be even more wasted then he has been the last few years in WWE. His next youtube video should be pretty interesting, we shall see...

This really doesn't surprise me. Matt Hardy hasn't been relevant for many years. He'd achieved all he was ever going to achieve in WWE and his body is probably pretty knackered from all of the grueling matches he's endured during his career, mostly during the Hardy Boyz era.

Honestly, what more could Matt do in WWE? He was never world title material and had accomplished all he could accomplish.
