Is Matt Hardy destined for TNA or MITB?

Dark Match Winner
Alot of people are probably gonna shoot the idea down but just hear me out. Ive always been a Matt Hardy fan since the day he debuted in WWE. Matt has always been my favorite of the brothers as Jeff was more over for his extreme charisma. But is Matts last chance in the hands of TNA. If Jeff & Matt teamed up in TNA which we all know would end up happening in the end it could help both Parties. Eventually WWE is gonna get sick in tired of burying Matt till he finally leaves after his contract is over, My question is should Matt go to TNA??? or should Matt Hardy stick to reality shows and take on a diffrent profession.

I could see Matt puttin on good matches with almost everyone in TNA. And possibly Hurricane could go to and Matt could start up the stable he tried to start up on smackdown a few years back "Version 1.0".

Matt started in WWE 1994, in 1998 he finally got a contract with his brother to team up as the Hardy's. The Hardy's are well known around the states and countries for the TLC's and the matches they've had.

TNA could be the last shot he has, due to Matt getting older and he surely isn't gonna be going anywhere anytime soon on smackdown. Is it Matt's final choice, or is it the MITB. Now the MITB has helped push superstars into the ME but everyone claims its to late for Hardy, is it? People claim it could be Christian or JoMo or possibly Drew, but Hardy still has a decent fan base, New Music, New video, Could help. I think by the middle of 2010 we will see either Version 1.5 in the Main Event, or Version 2.0 in TNA.

The MITB helped boost wrestlers up in the ME scene, It could be possible for WWE to unexpectedly have Matt somehow win the match. Alot of people are gonna bash me for that, but I honestly see Matt's career in a fork road, 3 ways to go, 1 choice.

What do you guys think?

Matt won't go to TNA as he's a WWE guy and seems to be fine with the schedule. He doesn't get injured often, doesn't get suspended, and isn't as willing to take risks with his career as Jeff.

But Matt is in no way shape or form anywhere close to even possibly being remotely considered for maybe getting a chance at winning the MITB...to put it bluntly lol. Matt's in a random tag team with the Great Khali right now after having spent months doing absolutely nothing, after having failed as a heel despite feuding with one of the most over guys in the entire company. That right there is a signal of what Matt's future is looking like.

Matt has gotten to the point where they know he's not going to be a main event guy and he doesn't have a whole lot of stock to his name when it comes to the future. He's getting up there in age and isn't improving in the slightest bit, looks like crap, and is just flatlined at a steady, boring kind of entertainment plateau. You never see anything new from Matt Hardy and what he has in his arsenal just simply isn't good enough to overlook that. Matt still has some value to the WWE as his name is recognizable to the fans, but what it boils down to is he's basically on the Finlay level now. He'll continue to be used here and there, but I highly doubt we'll be seeing him in any main event matches, let alone winning any of those - especially not winning MITB and going on to be a world champion.

NO and NO First of all think Matt wont go to TNA you know why because WWE wont release him,Because if WWE those that they Know that Matt will run to TNA and ask for a contract. And we know dam well that WWE doesnt want to give TNA good wrestlers.WWE will maybe give him another US run or IC run but thats it,They will keep him happy but they wont give him mainevent status like his brother.

No he is not destined to win the MITB not this year or next year,Like i have said maybe a midcard title run or another tag team title run but thats it.Honestly you know what i think, I think that Matt is nothing without his Brother Jeff,And if Jeff ever comes back to the WWE,Matt might mainevent some shows or get a title shot but thats it.

Yeah i said it Matt is nothing with out Jeff,When Matt was injured and he came back he was getting in to the mainevent level because of his brother not because of WWE.Thats when they turn him heel and he attack Jeff and he mainevented some SD matches, He was getting there. But now that Jeff is out what is Matt doing now teaming up with who? The Great Khali. If Jeff would off still been in WWE,Matt as of right now he would off been in the Mainevent status..

I'm like everybody else here, Matt won'T go to TNA. Just look at the facts when it go release a couple of years back because of the whole Lita/Edge stuff that was going on, he went on a rampage blasting the WWE for protecting Edge and Lita, when to ROH of a couple of show and blasted the WWE at those ROH show but as soon as the WWE came calling him back, he went back like nothing had happen and he still there.

Like it or not Matt Hardy will stay in the WWE until he decided to retire. Even if he has to team with the Great Khali for the rest of his career, he will still stay with them because he one of those wrestler that will stay loyal to the WWE for the rest of his life. Has for MITB, Matt might get in the match but at the end of the day, he'S going to win it because without is brother Jeff, Matt isn't consider main event talent, the proof is that while jeff was winning WWE and World championship, MAtt won the ECW championship.

I don't know if its a matter of the WWE refusing to release him, I think its more that Matt Hardy found a home within the WWE, and he is comfortable there. If he hasn't left the company by now in order to try to be a bigger star, he probably isn't going to. Some guys are perfectly fine being well paid midcarders, and don't care if they never get the WWE title or World title. It was just what, two years ago, when all the rumors said Carlito was going to leave the WWE for TNA, because he was so frustrated with the lack of push, lack of TV time, etc...where is Carlito? Still with the WWE. And psykohurricane brings up a really good point...If Matt didn't join TNA after the whole Lita/Edge thing, why would he now? Perhaps Matt Hardy understands that even as a midcarder, he gets paid pretty well with the WWE, and financial stability is more important to him than winning a meaningless title? (When I say meaningless, I refer to the fact that it is nothing but a prop, part of storylines, and isn't an actual championship belt in the way the UFC or boxing belts are, where competitors win based on actually beating people, rather than the whims of the owner)

Matt Hardy is a professional midcarder, and they are valuable in their own way. As long as he is okay with his status as such, I don't see him ever wanting to leave for greener pastures.

There was some initial wonder when Jeff Hardy turned up on the January 4th episode of iMPACT! if Matt was going to follow him. I don't think it's all that likely to happen anytime in the near future.

Matt Hardy is never going to be a main event wrestler. He just doesn't have the stuff. He doesn't have the charisma, doesn't have the skills on the mic and he's sometimes boring as hell to watch in a match. I think that Matt Hardy has long since figured out that he's not going to be in the main event and, even if he did go to TNA, I'm not so certain it would happen there either. Matt Hardy overall is a solid workhorse that's good to use for whatever the company needs. In a nutshell, he's willing to do almost anything the WWE asks of him and a wrestler like that can be a valuable asset. It's because of that reason alone that Santino Marella is still in the WWE.

Matt Hardy is liked enough and respected enough by WWE Management to be part of the cast of NXT. If the concept turns out to be a hit, maybe it will lead to a boost in Hardy's own career. I can see him competing in MITB at WM this year, but I won't be surprised if it doesn't happen. I'm expecting to see a lot more of the newer guys in MITB this year. Right now, they've got Hardy teaming with the Great Khali and I wouldn't be surprised to see them involved in some sort of match for the tag titles at WM.

Whatever ultimately happens, I doubt that we'll see Matt Hardy in TNA anytime within 2010.

OK. so i'm a huge Matt Hardy fan (see the sig!!!). And I too have thought about this multiple times this year.

This is fact, Matt could've been pushed when Jeff left, the fans were desperate for Jeff, and who better than his brother to get revenge on Punk? Sure, it would be because of Jeff's popularity and Punk exiling him, but Matt could have been pushed then. But the WWE dropped the ball.

Now, on his youtube account, Matt states that he's in the final stage of his surgery, from the Summer. He says that he's on a new diet and workout routine since February 5th, so Matt may improve throughout this year. If he does, and by improving I mean getting into better shape, then Matt could win MITB. RVD was 34 or 35 when he won it, and Matt is 35. So it's possible.

However, I would probably prefer for him to make a new start and head to TNA. He could be a world champion there, or at least X-Division Champion. But, like others have said, Matt likes it in WWE, and I'm not sure if he cares where his place is in it.

Bottom line, I doubt Matt will be anywhere near TNA ever, but there's still hope for a potential push, that is IF he improves where he needs to be improved.

To tell you the truth I can really see either happening for him. Matt hardy specilty match is the ladder match and he could have the advantage and win mintb if the creative gets behind him and push him to a major title. Also I could see him go to Tna but to tell you the truth I think Matt hardy is lock and is going to stay in wwe for the remander of his career until he descide to retired or some unfornate event happen to him which I hope never happens to him which would put him out of the wwe and the wrestling bussiness in general.

It's funny i found this forum, but i would like to say that it does kinda upset me to see what WWE has done w/ Matt. I was watching WrestleMania 24 last nite & the ovation that Matt got when he ran in & gave MVP the twist of fate off of the ladder, costing MVP the MITB briefcase...it was insane...it was almost on par with the pop Matt got back in 05 when he returned to WWE & attacked Edge....he's goin to be over because of his overly popular tag-team w/ his brother & their history as a tag-team....& because of his overly-popular brother period.....HELL He's gonna be over jus by his last name.....i really hope WWE takes advantage of that before it's too late....you know....kinda like how it's too late for a certain "big red machine" who also has a more popular sibling

Matt Hardy is popular as a face, but he is never going to be a bigger deal than a midcard champion, so that rules out the MITB win for him, and then I think his popularity and his dependability mean that the WWE will be unwilling to let him go. He's savvy enough to know that he probably won't be a world champion anywhere, and I think he will remain loyal to the WWE, who have no reason to get rid of him as he is someone useful to keep around. TNA is more likely of the two, but I doubt either are in his near future to be honest with you.

I think history tells you that the WWE doesn't give that much crap about Matt. For all the crap Jeff has done, they still would take Jeff over Matt any day. I've watched WWE for a long time, and since when the hardys came around late 1990s, we knew who would be the bigger singles superstar based on who got the better reaction.

For Matt's Sake, it's either he's the Best Mid Carder in WWE or the worst Main Eventer. Ha any title suffices but that's basically his position right now in WWE.

I wouldn't think it would be too far fetched if Matt was bound for TNA. Grant it I also believe he doesn't think he's ever going to be anything more than mid-carder at best but damn...teaming up with Khali is BS. He probably would never be a TNA champion if he switched companies but he better off than teaming up with Khali. I mean all this guy does is show up for work, has decent matches at times, and stays out of trouble. But yet he continues to get screwed over with the booking committee and Vince mostly because of his brother. Its ridiculous. Eventually he's going to have to do some soul searching and decide if he wants to stay a mid-carder at best the rest of his career in the WWE, or go to TNA and see what he can accomplish there. Maybe he's made up his mind and has decided to stay WWE until his career over. But with that said, I still think he's more destined for TNA than winning M.I.T.B. imo.

first off whats up tarzan its riccio btw....

ok so matt hardy should go to tna because i think he will get a bigger push as a singles or in the tag team division with jeff vince doesnt use him well and i feel matt would be better off in tna with his bro and shannon more can you imagine the alliance with moore jeff rvd and mat it would be sick! and matt hardy could easily main event in tna christian did so why not matt right? any ways i think if he dont get a push in wwe soon he should jump ship.
