Mason Ryan and Zack Ryder: Tag-Team Champs?

Just dawned on me watching the Swagger/Ryder match and everything that ensued. I love the idea. I think they work well together. Sort of like an Of Mice and Men thing. Big guy who doesn't do much but destroy with Ryder the "brains" of the operation. Every time Ryan comes out, he has a smile on his face that works with Ryder's persona. They can both keep their own character, Ryan doesn't have to become a bro. It would be gimmicky, but I really think they would make a good team.

Nope. They're on to bigger things individually (Ryder with the US title, Ryan with becoming Batista 2.0). Having the tag titles would be a step down for these two.

I see Dolph and Swagger winning the tag titles at Vengence. Then I see a feud with Ryder and Ryan for the tag belts ending with Ryder and Ryan winning them. Then I see a fatal 4feud for the USC. with Zack Ryder winning it. I see Dolph then going to the main eventer`s level and I see Mason Ryan turning heel on Ryder durring a tag title defense which they would lose. Then I see Ryan feuding with Ryder for the USC. eventually with Ryan winning the belt and putting Ryder on the shelf. I see Ryan then going on a tear beating every mid carder in sight until Ryder finally comes back and takes it from him, sending Ryan up to the main eventer level as well.

I like the paring, I really do. But to me Mason Ryan is going to be the weight that holds them down. Ryan isn't that over with the crowd, he might get pops. But for how long? A few good pops dosen't make a full time face. His in-ring work is allright, not quite up to par with Air Boom or Ryder.

But with time that could change, I don't see them getting the title within the next few months. But if they are booked right and made up to be huge it could work well. Air boom believe it or not smarks are over as fuck live.

Ryder is one of the most over people on the undercard, but Ryan needs to get up to that status with him. If not then why take the titles off of a team that is allredy way over.

I just hate how they had Mason Ryan in all smiles and happy mood all the time. Well i hate when they made their big guys like zeke do that as well. it just takes the intimidation factor away.

I see no real reason why they should be tag team champions. Sure the pairing looks to be something that could work, but do we really want it to work? A lot of people have been all up over the idea of Zack Ryder getting a push, but where would he honestly benefit mostly from it, the same goes for Mason Ryan, where would he benefit mostly from it? Carrying a dead tag team division, or being the United States champion, that both of them have been hinting some sort of possibility of, with their clashes with Dolph Ziggler in the past months time.

Besides, with Airboom being the current champions, there would be a need for a switch of the titles over to Dolph and Jack Swagger if the title change would ever make any sense, because why would WWE take the belts off a popular tag team, by letting a less popular on the rise tag team take the belts from them? Exactly, no sense to it. Top that off with the fact that if there was to be any momentum going around it, Jack and Dolph would have to hold the belts for a fair period of time, for Zack and Mason to finally knock them off the pedestal.

I'm not against the idea of the pairing, but it's obvious that both of them will benefit more from a singles career, and to be pushed as singles competitors. Besides, it has only been a few times that Zack and Mason Ryan have been on the same segment, so there's hardly any hints of them being tag team partners in the nearest future. Only possibly thing there could be hinted, is Dolph Ziggler getting thrown into another multi-man title defense (A Fatal 4 Way maybe? you tell me..).

So while it could work, if WWE was to go that way, I don't see any reason why they should, or any hints that they are any time soon.

It was awkward to see Zack Ryder following Mason Ryan up the ramp when the match was over last night, with the big man completely ignoring Ryder while the smaller guy seemed to be looking for some acknowledgment from his partner.

Mason Ryan is a singles wrestler. I presume the only reason they have him pairing with someone is to cover up Ryan's mic shortcomings until he can gain some experience. WWE often sets things up this way, ensuring the newcomer a chance to work into the mix with greater ease, before sending him out on his own.

In the meantime, I can't figure what they're doing with Zack Ryder. I was sure his Internet antics were going to incur the wrath of Vince McMahon and leave Zack out in the cold. Instead, he seems to be getting a push, which I don't understand at all. I wouldn't have believed his clown-like antics would have gotten him this far.

Here's hoping that Zack's surprising success in promoting himself doesn't spread to the point that a bunch of "nowhere" wrestlers start independent campaigns to focus attention on themselves in hopes of getting a job with WWE.

Personally, I don't think a Ryan/Ryder tag team will last long, whether they're given a brief championship reign or not.

Mason Ryan is not ready for a title yet, even if it's the Tag Title, which has a way to go before it's relevant again. I'd like to see him in some squash matches on Superstars for a while. This would build his allure and give him time to hone his skills with trainers.

I have absolutely no desire to see Mason Ryan and Iced Z in a Tag team stable appart from by chance every now and then when their rivals clash...such as now.
Tag titles...no thanks. Even if Ziggler and Thwagger win the titles I wouldnt like to see RyderRyan WIN against them if the feud continues.

I selfishly want Ryder to Take Zigglers US title because I love True long island story (coz ryders a Douche), and think that his hard work should pay off...also spurring other superstars to try their own ways of getting over in the future.

Mason Ryan is going to put half the roster in hospital if he gets a big push now...still a little Goldberg green in my eyes but also less deserving of a breakthrough as SHEEEEE Brodus Clay "lightbulb" Brodus Clay Vs Mason Ryan Feud on superstars...see if it gets over and then move it into Raw/Smackdown?

I'd much rather have these two work as singles competitors pursuing the midcard titles on their respective brands. However, having them pair up for awhile might not be a very bad idea. Ryder is over with the fans and can help cover up Ryan's poor mic skills as a mouthpiece. Of course, this isn't something I see happening long term as I think WWE is planning on keeping these guys working as singles wrestlers, which is honestly what I prefer. A pairing would by no means necessarily be a BAD idea but it really would serve to benefit either of them. Or rather, it would probably help the greenhorn Mason Ryan somewhat but do nothing to really help elevate either of them.

The idea of a team between Ryder and Ryan would not be too bad. Ryan needs something to do and if he has to be a face right now then why not be the enforcer for another face in Ryder? Ryan could be the enforcer while Ryder could be the brains. They would likely be hilarious in their promos and if Ryder does most of the in ring work the matches would be alright. Give them an angle against Air Boom and see what happens because having one more team wouldn't hurt and this one has the potential to provide some fun moments if WWE went that route.

I dont like combining random guys to make them a tag team. this is the problem with the current tag division. you combine random guys instead of combing the right type of guys to be together to make a credible tag team. Its bad enough enough mason's theme music sounds like something from Mega Man X from Super Nintendo. He looks very sloppy in the ring and his look like Zek, and khali does nothing for him. Their size is not enough to make them likable. I think Ryder needs to use this attention he's getting from the IWC to build himself and continue to make the fans like him. Mason needs a complete overhaul change. Maybe if he didnt look like Batista so much it wouldnt be so hard to look at him as something worth watching. His ring name doesnt work for me neither. Im sorry if Mason went anywhere near Ryder, ZR would lose the attention and praise hes been getting from the fans. Send MR back to FCW and give him something different. He needs to work on his charisma and in ring work as well.
