Mark Henry Is World Heavyweight Champion!!! - KEEP IT ALL IN HERE!

Everyone is wanting Bryan to beat Henry...But I don't like it, I am a big fan of Bryan's in ring skill but I don't want to see another Mysterio vs. Big Show storyline and I just don't ever believe it when they have someone as small as DB beating someone like Mark Henry. I do like the idea of having Sheamus finally ending the domination of Henry then from there you could make a good storyline for Sheamus vs. DB where it would be more believable if they had DB win.

The only thing to do is to ride this momentum for a few more months. If anyone takes the title from him it should be Sheamus. Sheamus never really lost to Henry as he got counted out, nor did he end up on the shelf like Kane & Show. His feud with Sheamus should not be over just yet.

nah have him run this all the way to mania 28, whoever beats him after all that time is an instant badass!!! (hopefully bryan but i wont be mad if it were sheamus)

I agree a lot with this statement. Just let him run with the title and let a new guy (basically not Orton,) beat him at Mania. With the attention Smackdown gets, he could do squash matches at PPVs and nobody would even really care, tbh. It serves a point, it somehow turns Mark Henry into a mega-power and a very credible champion, and I'd like to have that moment where the smaller baby face wins the title, against all odds from the big bully champion. Those moments, the, "Rocky," moment, is just awesome and it makes wrestling so great.

I really hope they let him run with this and show what he can do after so long. I think he's one of the few guys that I can see realistically beating anyone on the roster with his strength. I've thought that they should've given him the strap a while ago back when he was feuding with The Undertaker since he was really giving it to him until Taker pulled Devil's Gate out of his ass. I'm not saying he should've gone over Taker but he looked strong as shit.

I like that Mark Henry is champ but i dont like he will be fore very long... longer than two weeks yes but i see him dropping it before wrestlemania probably survivor series i like the 4 way match but id throw in sheamus n wade barret for a 6 way elimination match that would be cool. or just dont include show or kane yet...either way i dont see henry holding it past survivor series

I have a feeling it may only last til Kane gets back, but then again the wwe have been really good at forgeting feuds. I don't nesscessarily see Kane winning the championship but Kanes going to want revenge we he returns and I can see him doing something to cost henry the championship.
I hope he gets a decent run though for a least a couple of months.

I would like to see Henry hold the strap till at least RR. That way it gives time to set up Orton andJericho at mania,, (which i really wana see.) If Henry holds it that long, i will be amazed. I just dont see anyone but Sheamus beating him though.

I'm with you here, Sheamus and Mark Henry tore it up, if you will, at Summerslam and definitely need to revisit that. Spend the next six months making DBD into the intense submission machine I know from the indies, and the WM28 MMA shoot-style chest welts on both these guys would be TREMENDOUS!

Anyone who can go from jobbing to getting incredibly over without the help of John Cena is someone with true talent. I am sure there is a post around here where I doubted Henry's abilities when he first turned heel. I hated how everyone wanted the guy to be champion just because he was loyal to the WWE. Henry had put very few people over during his career and did very little. It wasn’t until Henry showed determination to become something bigger then he was that I started to take interest. He didn’t deserve a World Title reign because of his long and boring career - he deserves a World Title reign because he got over, made himself relevant, and actually showed motivation for the first time in his career.

I expect a long title reign from Mark Henry although the WWE has proved me wrong in the past. Henry has been on a path of destruction and whoever dethrones the big dominant beast will become super over. This is a perfect storyline here. Give someone (in fact anyone) a World Championship win over Mark Henry and they will most likely be super over. It seems to me the WWE might be going the David vs. Goliath route and have Daniel Bryan go over Henry at Wrestlemania or whatever. Sadly, I do not see it going down like that. How many times has there been a dominant monster on Smackdown and The Undertaker comes back and destroys him in one PPV. It could happen - possibly leading to a Wrestlemania match between the two.

Obviously, there are plenty of ways this title reign can go. I personally do not care, just don't fuck it up WWE.

I knew beyond any doubt Henry was going to win the moment Edge gave him the "you've never won the big one"-speech. This is ALWAYS a sure sign that "the big one" is indeed about to be won. No exceptions. It's pretty much a spoiler alert when someone says that to the challenger.
Ok, I saw a chance of this match ending in a DQ and Henry winning it the next month, but that he would be champion soon was beyond doubt.

That being said, congratulations, Henry. And I can't believe I'm saying this, because I never was and never will be a fan of the guy, but he deserves it. Not so much from being a jobber for the last 15 years, but for the last couple of month in which he somehow morphed into a believable contender for the title.

And unless he ratings are greatly and negatively affected by him being the man I have a feeling he's going to hold the belt for a while.

Mark Henry is the World Champion. I never thought that I would be saying those six words in that order. I highly doubt he will be champion for very long, but then again I never thought he would win the title to begin with. I admit I was wrong about Henry and will give his world title reign a chance. This is the best push he has ever gotten because he finally got a world title after all this time. Whether it be Orton, Sheamus, or Christian who challenhe him, I think we might get some decent matches out of The World's Strongest Jobber. Now that he is a world champion he can be expected to take his skills to the proper level they would need to be at.

I really, really hope they used the boost that would come from knocking off Mark Henry on someone other than one of those guys. Right now, Henry is on the kind of roll that should immediately elevate whoever manages to end it. None of those guys need that boost.

Its going to be a big boost win for Undertaker :lmao:. If Orton cant beat him that seems like the direction they are going in. Especially given the past rumors of Taker making a return around Vengeance.

Vince wants Survior Series to be a real big deal. I can see Taker also making his in ring return at SS, and beating Henry for the WHC.

I am very happy that Randy Orton actully let Mark Henry beat him fair and square. What I think WWE should have Mark do now is dominate until one of the bigger ppv (but not summerslam that is way to short of a title reign). They should make long title reigns happen again because I am sick of these short title reign which makes title not mean anything. I also have this weird idea that when they finally have Mark lose they should have him tag with a newly heel turn sheamus where sheamus will be saying stuff like, I am done pandering to the fans to try and get a title shot and stuff like that. Then have Mark and Sheamus get a good title run to help make the tag team division relevant.

A lot of new fans of the WWE do not know or can begin to appreciate all Mark Henry has offered the business. He has been entertaining, dominating, comedic, and sure as heck one of the most prolific superstars of the WWE. To say that this World Heavyweight title run is long over-due is an understatement. He deserves it every bit but in all fairness and honesty, this sport of wrestling entertainment is a young man's game and Mark Henry's good years are far behind him. Henry is on the verge of retirement and IMO this was Vince's way of showing Mark his appreciation to the WWE after all these years. Henry is a deserving champion because like many of us have stated, he has been putting guys over for years. I see Henry being at max till SS. Orton is the only one fitting to re-capture the title from Henry so look for Orton to take control again and see Henry retire from wrestling by the end of the year. He is pushing 40 years old and he has been in this sport since 1996. So he has done a lot and it is time for him to hang 'em up. Watch for this being the proper send off for Henry.

mark henry winning is a great move cause we are sick of having orton as our WHC. plus orton isnt belivable to beat henry. anyways it was mark winning or else riot. as for henry this will be his last major run then he will just be around in matches every so often so he really did earn this!!

Smackdown is getting kinda boring with their lack of main event stars. Henry winning the title creates something different and Mark deserves the belt. After all, how many other "Clinton Administration" WWE stars are still there?

Seriously, I think Henry can do a good job of opening up doors for other big men that aren't neccessarily bodybuilders to be considered good workers. I'd say give his title reign a shot before dismissing it out of hand.

YEA MARK HENRY HAS BEEN DOING THE UBSTOPPABLE FORCE ROLE PRETTY GOOD AND SO FAR NOBODY HAS BEEN ABLE TO STOP OR BEAT HIM BUT THATS ALL GOING TO CHANGE WHEN THE UNDERTAKER COMES BACK BECAUSE UNDERTAKER WILL BEAT HIM ONCE AND ALL OF MARK HENRY'S MOMENTUM WILL BE GONE BECAUSE THATS HOW IT ALWAYS WORKS,I MEAN LOOK AT THE GREAT KHALI HE CAME INTO THE WWE DOMINATING THE UNDERTAKER AND EVERYONE WHO WAS IN HIS WAY THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN HE GETS BEAT ONE TIME BY THE UNDERTAKER AND HES ALL OF A SUDDEN LOSING ALL HIS MATCHES

Gah WWE Fan did you have to use caps?!

Anyway. Ima go with the people that are AGAINST this reign. I get the monster run, but this is Mark Henry. This is the man that...I just can't bear in the ring. I feel he's limited, and not by a few words, but by an ability to create a dynamic, exciting match. This whole dominant thing in my mind needs to be done by someone NEW into the WWE - they come in like a whirling dirvish (Oh yeah, old phrases FTW) and then the excitement comes from the idea of "who can take this beast down."

Henry though...he doesn't excite me. He does nothing for me.
The commentary in the night of champions match was so crap. "I don't think Orton can RKO Henry..." This is coming 6 weeks after Orton RKO'd him and leapt in the air to do the splits before doing a funky dance in front of christian and a ref who looked perplexed.

In my mind, you can polish a turd, but Mark Henry will always still be shit.

With this storyline, I like the recipe that's been brewing. You can get several guys elevated to main event status by having them take on the unstoppable version of Mark Henry and get credit for great efforts. The returning Kane & Big Show will get their chance for payback at first, then guys like Cody, Sheamus and Wade can get groomed for the ME. Randy and Christian can last awhile without the strap and still keep their shine. Yes, Sheamus has been champ but not as a face, so in that way he's still getting 'established.' You see, if Henry continues to become dominant, he becomes...wait for it...a believable opponent for Undertaker at WM28. People seem to think Henry is getting old, but he's only in his mid-thirties, young by pro wrestling standards, so I don't think he's going anywhere for a while. After 15 years, he's clearly loyal to the 'E', so he can be trusted with a major storyline. So imagine if the unthinkable happened-he breaks the Undertaker's streak, but during the match he still takes a tremendous beatdown from UT-then none other than DBD cashes in the MITB briefcase, just as he said he would.

Its about damn time we saw a serious DOMINANT heel run, and props to WWE on getting this one right, i would have him hold the title till WM, just imagine, him having it for months tearing thru everyone, if orton woulda won last night at HIAC, i woulda been pi$$ed, how can you have a 400 lb man get beat by ortons weak finisher, i miss the old days, when MOSTLY heavyweights held the title, like batista, and rock, hogan, etc, too many wrestlers are small framed now a days....

Well, I don't really know but I don't see Mark Henry holding that belt till WrestleMania. But I am really happy on how they do their work on Mark Henry as a dominant world champion. Beating Randy Orton CLEAN not once, but twice is a statement.

I see Kane returning and getting that title soon.

Mark Henry is demonstrating what a real "monster" heel should be or act like. I see himm having a nice reign, with him losing the title to a returning Undertaker, which sets up a match at WM and giving MH his 2nd WHC & the first and possibly the only person to beat 'Taker at WM. But, I can only hope.

I'm glad to see that WWE is actually following through with a consistent push for Mark Henry. With other talents they have stopped the push midway or completely halted it entirely. WWE has indeed got it right this time if they can continue what they've started with Henry.

Im glad to see that henry has kept the title for this long.I would love to see him keep the title all the way to wm but i just dont see it happing.I see him holding it maybe to the tlc p.p.v but im not sure if he will keep it past that.I would love to see a henry an undertaker match at wm but if it happens i dont think it will be for the title
