Lord Tensai's Push (Keep it all in here!!!!)

I think I'm one of the very very few that likes Lord Tensai on this board. He has cool entrance attire and there's something about his Japanese style that reminds me of Umaga, albeit slower. He needs to use his fireman's carry neckbreaker move again. That used to look cool back in the day. Also, it wouldn't hurt to add more moves to his currently-stale moveset such as that Bernard driver. Only time will tell. I really didn't think he'd go over John Cena so soon. It's only his third match upon returning. Maybe he should start a feud with Brodus Clay and hand him his first loss. I'm kind of tired of seeing Brodus Clay picking up cheap victories in quick matches.

Those of us that have watched RAW over the past three weeks have been treated to one of the most pathetic and embarrassing spectacles not only in the history of professional wrestling, but in the history of television in general. I am of course talking about Bored Tensuck (I believe you may know him as Lord Tensai but my name for him is more appropriate). White people that dressed in makeup to play Indians in old Westerns think that Tensuck is an insensitive disgrace to culture. From the Undertaker-esque ridiculously long intro, to the horrible look, to the complete lack of moves in the ring, and don't get me started on how he sounded when he talked last night, this idiot makes Zack Ryder look like Rock and Stone Cold all rolled into one. Anybody that knows anything about wrestling would rather see Khali in a 60-minute iron man match than see Bored Tensuck wrestle in any capacity.

Is there any way to make this guy interesting? About the only thing I can think of is him becoming somebody's sacrificial lamb for about 250 consecutive chairshots. Anybody else have any ideas?

I didn't think so. Chalk Bored Tensuck up with historic WWE fails such as Disco Inferno, Sin Cara, Shockmaster, and the countless other epic failures. It's time to cut losses and stop digging this hole before it gets any deeper.

First of all, ha ha how original to come up with a childish nickname

Second regarding your comment about being insensitive to Indians, all I have to say is HUH?????????????????????????????????

Finally Disco Inferno and Shockmaster were not in the WWE, they were WCW creations, and actually Disco Inferno had quite a long run with the company.

Ah, i disagree!! I have no problem with tensai, much less than i did with brodus three weeks in! At the very least the guy is on the move! Though i assume he wont be fueding with Cena, i hope he doesnt go back to squash matches!! He might be a destructive toy for laryngitis to play with.

I really dont see how he's an insensitive disgrace to culture... To who's culture? The guy isnt pretending to be japanese if thats what you think, they said it the first week that the guy went to Japan and got better. The idea that he's worshiped as a dominant force over there is the only possibly offensive thing? The garb he wears is just traditional dress and name me any wrestler who doesnt over-do a gimmick atleast a little!

He said one line on the mic, and most of it in japanese, so you can hardly judge that, plus as far as i was concerned (and the guys i was watching with) he sounded cool. he match with cena was fine, the green mist was a great addition, i cant see the problem.

I get that he's an over the top and ridiculous character, but i have a suspension of disbelief going when i watch. I come for a spectacle and some wrestling, the guy provides both and atleast in his case (unlike brodus) the match lasts longer than the intro! He was one of the main reasons i was looking forward to this weeks raw after finding out he was going to fight cena and the win was great!!

I get that thats your opinion though and i respect that. 250 headshots would be cool, but id let the guy garner a little more rep so he can get the new hardcore legend over! I wouldnt change anything with tensai, just give him a good chance to shine! He's only been here three weeks remember!

Was excited for the first 5 seconds. Then got incredibly bored with the entire thing. Now wondering why in the hell the WWE seems likely to give a main event push to Albert.

I originally wrote that the day after he debuted/redebuted a few weeks ago in the spam friendly wrestling section. So far, I have seen absolutely nothing to make me think that my initial impressions of him were in any way wrong. I stand by my original take on his return 100%. No matter how much the WWE wants to tell me differently, in my head, I don't see Lord Tensai. I just see Prince Albert dressing up in a Japanese Halloween costume, going through multiple disposable razors a day trying to keep the chest and back hair from coming back. He just is not intimidating at all. I could care less what he did or didn't do in Japan, I just am not buying his gimmick at all.

"Anybody that knows anything about wrestling would rather see Khali in a 60-minute iron man match than see Bored Tensuck wrestle in any capacity."

What? Are you on crack? Either you are on crack or some kind of hallucinogenic drug, or you went for sarcasm and failed.

There's nothing wrong with Tensai. Seriously, some people just like to bitch for the hell of it. You don't have Josh Isenberg's face tattooed onto an intimate part of your body do you?

Ok I understand this is your opinion and that's fine but why is he offensive to culture? He's not playing a Japanese character he's still Albert just repackaged a little bit and renamed. And he spoke one freakin line so how in the blue hell did you draw any conclusions from that? And talent wise he's MILES ahead of Khali so you can't even compare the two. Khali can't even do a simple chop or chest slap without stumbling Tensai is much more entertaining. I like the seriousness of his character even though I still see him as Albert I still like the transformation he underwent character wise. And the Tajiri green mist was pretty cool to.

You can't be serious!!!! Khali can barely walk. At least "Tensuck" can do some wrestling moves. I honestly don't think Bored Tensuck will end up being anything more than a midcarder and main event jobber. To put him in the same sentence as Khali though, is just wrong.

Wow totally disagree with you. Give him some time is all i can say without going on a total rant. Your comments are moronic and your impatience is embarassing. Did you start watching wrestling? Seriously.

How exciting do you expect a giant guy destroying people to be?

He has skills and will show them when the time is right for him to do so.

Wow really? Are you bitching about a character that's been on TV just shy of a month? Really? Glad you don't do booking.

The character might not have a lot of depth... BUT this is strictly because the "lack of knowledge" on said character, meaning creative has not given him a complete back story nor have they given him any chance to speak really. I feel like this slow build will ultimately be be a positive for him.

On that note... think before you speak.

I regretfully agree with domo here. Tensuck is the worst thing I've seen since... Prince Albert. Seriously though, if you hated Prince Albert than you're not going to give Tensai a chance, that's the boat I'm in, also the idea is stupid, there's a lot of talented Japanese wrestlers that could pull off a Japanese gimmick a lot better than Albert.

Meh. Hater's are going to hate. I know it's an overused expression, but I don't give a damn. I've always liked Albert/A-Train/Tensai. Not intimidating? I wouldn't want to get on his bad side! What? Am I the only one that has noticed Albert has improved? I saw a video on youtube of him doing, I believe, a rolling mahistrol cradle. Just wait for him to bust out some of the moves he learned in Japan. Patience.

Anyway, I'm glad they let him go over Cena on Raw. It would've totally killed his momentum if he got "Hassan'd."

Honestly Domo Nation doesn't deserve responces to his absolutle moronic opinions and judgements of wrestling skill. To say Kahli is better than Tensai speaks volumes about how much this guy knows about in ring work. You dont have to like Lord Tensai that is a matter of preference. You can say his gimmick sucks again an opinion and a ok one. But to make bold statements like Anybody who knows anything about wrestling would rather watch Kahli over Lord Tensai is totally rediculas and borderline delusional!!!

I agree with you completely, but I'm sure there are a large group of younger fans who have no idea who Prince Albert is/was. They are probably aiming to get Tensai over as a heel with that group by putting him up against Cena, who is obviously over as a face with that group.

Yeah, he sucks. No, he's not intimdating in the least. But then again, almost everything WWE has done in the PG era has been a letdown, why should this be any different.

As of right now, I don't really have any problems with Tensai. I still think it's extremely early to make any sort of long term guess as to whether or not the guy is going to work or not. For me, I saw him in a solid match last night on Raw in which he beat John Cena. The fact that so many people have been talking about him for the past 3 weeks is an indicator that WWE might have something with him.

In a way, this thread reminds me of all the pissing & moaning I heard when Brodus Clay showed up as The Funkasaurus. A lot of people were expecting this silent, mostly standard monster heel to debut and just plow through opponents left & right like we've seen a hundred other 300+ pound wrestlers do in the past. Instead, WWE packages him with a character that's not only entertaining to watch, but has gotten over with the audience. Clay's worked hard and put a lot into his character and, while some people do despise it, it's working overall. Now, here comes Tensai. Tensai, for all intents & purposes, is the same character that people were expecting to see for Clay. And, of course, more criticism.

Oh yeah, because Eugene during the Attitude Era was amazing right? His gimmick was ******ed (pun intended) and people loved it. It's only been a few matches. Give it time. How many wrestlers have had gimmicks where people raised an eyebrow, but then it caught on? Doink the Clown, MVP and the Honky Tonk Man (an elvis impersonator really) just to name a few.

sorry but when weve had khali rammed down are throats and him made a world champion yet we get a half decent big man who there makin to look powerful hence beating john cena on raw even if it was via cheating yet you still moan about him sorry all i see is a guy that has earned his stripes in japan and has taken a chance back in wwe total respect to the guy

If Tensai could beat Cena, then the sky's the limit for Tensai at this point, because with his win over Cena, it literally puts Tensai on the map making his undefeated streak more legitimate. If anything they should have him face Randy Orton next or even Big Show next

you'd think Tensai would fight a big name on RAW this week.

He can't go back to fighting a jobber after beating Cena.

I just don't see the appeal although admittedly I am probably biased as I didn't like Prince Albert or A-Train back in the day either. I just think the guys has a terrible look, is genereally boring and just for me doesn't stand out at all, his defining feature is probably the creppy heavy breathing during his matches.

I think the Lord Tensai gimmick could have been good but I just don't get why they couldn't have fgotten a Japanese guy to do it. The presence of Asians in the WWE has always been somewhat lacking in spite of Japan in particular apprently producing many fine wrstlers and being a massive wrestling country. I don't get it...

Brodus Clays entrance owns Alberts existence....

This guy is ass I don't know why he is in the WWE. Things went so well in Japan, stay their because I don't know how anyone could like watching his boring ass. Honestly, he sucks... He sucked as fat albert and A train and sucks as this...

I'm getting pretty tired of WWE fans pretending to be experts on good wrestling, especially ones that only watch WWE and nothing else. The WWE is NOT a great company for good wrestling. Most matches are short and bland, and they limit wrestler's movesets very noticeably (they like wrestler's to have a finisher, and 4-5 signature moves that each match is built around). You get great matches, but they tend to be 1-2 great matches amidst dozens of throwaway matches. How many template tag team main events to you see on the weekly TV shows? Where they don't remotely deviate from a set, boring formula?

I have watched Tensai/Albert's best matches over in Japan. There is no denying he's become a good big-man wrestler, with a strong understanding of storytelling in the ring. He's had two squash matches, and one match with Cena, who rarely gives a crap in the ring these days.

You had me until the last line. Tensai/Albert has become a great big-man wrestler overseas, and over time, he will hopefully get a chance to show it. However, almost every respected wrestler who has seen Cena or who has been in the ring with him speaks positively on his matches, his technique, and his style. The fact that you think he "rarely gives a crap these days" gives away any credibility that you might have had purely on the merit that people who provenly know what they are talking about disagree with you.
