Kevin Nash interviewed by WWE.com - It was "nice to be in a building with people"

In an interview with WWE.com, Kevin Nash spoke about his surprise Royal Rumble appearance and also appeared to take a swipe at TNA, saying it was "nice to be in a building with people" at the Rumble in Boston.

"When you get in this business, you strive to get to WWE, and when it’s time to hang up your boots, you definitely want to end up a Yankee. So, if this was my last one, I couldn’t be happier," Nash told Joey Styles.

Styles then asked if this was Nash's last time in the squared circle. "I hope not. I know Randy Orton, he’s got pull around here [laughs]. I’d stay as long as they’ll have me, or as long as my body will hold on," Nash said.

He also adressed the stare down with Big Show as he was exiting the Royal Rumble match, saying that there is "a lot of history there, either together or on the opposite side of the ring."

"He’s still probably the most impressive physical specimen I’ve been in the ring with – by far the strongest, still the measuring stick. I’d like to give him another run for his money."
My man.

Just saw a suggestion in the WWE forum regarding an angle where Nash is on the hunt for young guys. I want it.

To the end of youth winning. Unlike the TNA's Main Event Mafia, WWE wouldn't let this angle get detoured to Sting vs. Foley for the belt.

Also, how about the end that it would be a great novelty on WWE television for about two months?

Oh, to put them over?

That could be quite good. Putting over someone like Morrison or Del Rio could be very interesting viewing indeed. I hope that he sticks around for a bit. He seems to humbled himself quite a bit and as long as he can still cut it in the ring, it might be worth keeping him on.

If this is a hint at Nash being on Raw soon then I'm all for it, him and Booker got massive ovations and people marked out it was just awesome.

Hopefully WWE can understand the point of nostalgia better than TNA can. Having a nostalgia run is great if one primary condition is met: it's SHORT. Have it go too long and you realize it's the same old Kevin Nash that was bad in 03 and is probably bad now. Keep it short and sweet where people don't get this and it's a success.

Make no mistake about it, he's bad. His knees are shot to hell, and it showed last night. The live crowd will eat him up though, and it's not going to kill anyone for him to make 8 TV appearances and possibly 2 matches in the next 63 days.

Exactly. Short and sweet, give him a great opponent who can do all the work. He is great on the mic so he could work a brief feud.

Like a lot of things in TNA he always talked of putting guys over but it never really happened, not satisfactorily anyway.

They could stick Nash in a tag team match with Booker T at Mania. That way Booker can do most of the work cause he did look good last night and Nash can come in once in a while to smack guys around.

I'd like Nash to stay until just after Mania, then after that, i guess he could leave, after his one last stint which he should have in WWE.

Both Nash and Booker talk a big game but when it comes time to actually put someone over there is always an excuse. Nash can still cut a promo but in the ring, not so much. If they do a big show nash rehash, that just sounds terrible. Fuck Nash for actually dying his hair and trying to look the part for a cameo in the rumble while rocking that gray shit for years in TNA. He was over as hell as Diesel though. Why not milk it a little while?

Like you haven't watched enough of TNA to know better. '03 my ass; he was just as horrible in '09 and '10.

And how many WWE fans do you think watch TNA or know that it exists?

The way the crowd popped last night, it makes you think no one has seen Nash since 2003, or Booker since 2007.

I remember reading an interview with him a few years ago where he was waiting for a flight and a fan came up to him and asked for an autograph. While he was signing it he talked to the fan a bit and the fan asked if he was going to ever be on TV again. "I was in the main event on national TV 3 days ago." See, that's kind of a problem.

Now that I think about it, I believe I only became aware of TNA when I first got back into this stuff 2 years back, and I was looking up where Mick Foley had gone off to.

The only people that know about TNA are the only people that are ever gonna know. My mom asked me about it cuz she saw a commercial and she asked who was on it and I replied with a resounding IDK.

Sidenote: I recently found out that my mother as a huge crush on Ted DiBiase Sr. and used to tell me that he was my real dad when I was a baby.

Nash's like the Uncle Sam of the real world. Tongue so further up his cheek, you'd think he was the One-Man-Gang-Bang.
