Kane poor Kane

Getting Noticed By Management
I will start off by admitting that I don't watch Smackdown often, but when and how did Kane become a face again. Just a few month ago he was a psychotic scary monster and he was great at it, now this week on Raw he's teaming with Big Show, Santino and Kozlov and doing Santino's horn blowing move. How are you suppose to take him seriously again when they try and turn him into a monster again (which you know he will)

:lmao: As a Kane mark, I lul'd. I mean, I knew he was gonna do the horn taunt after Show did it, but DAMN, I didn't expect Kane to skip his ass around the wring while doing it. He couldn't even keep a straight fucking face while performing that one.

He's Kane, though. He could come out at mania and just fucking clear the ring of everyone on both teams and people wouldn't think twice about it, he's got the ability to walk that line like no one else, heel, face, comedy character; but always the monster at heart.

100th Post!! :)That didn't take long. Huh.

Poor Kane indeed. He kinda just goes with the flow.:)

I'm a huge Kane fan, but even I had to laugh at the horn thing. After that, all I could think was, 'Nobody can ever take Kane as the favorite demon again.' Kane may really be ruined. For good this time. Kinda pisses me off. Teaming with Santino, I saw. Him doing the horn, now I cannot unsee it. Why must WWE constantly do Kane like that?

ur exactly right. kane is a monster at heart. even if he had to laugh at himself going to horn thing. i thought it was pretty funny. but kane is so established i dont think this hurts him. he could turn heel right after mania and it would be believable.

He's Kane. Like someone else has pointed out, he could come out at Mania and destroy everyone and people would believe it. No big deal here, just a hilarious comedy moment.

Why feel bad for Kane? He's at the end of his career and just came off a World title run that no one thought he would get before retiring. At this stage, Kane is used to get younger talent over. Worrying about his character is irrelevant at this point. He's Kane. He's done it all. He's gone back and forth between face and heel more times than anyone can count, so what his current status is doesn't matter. They needed someone to team with Show (another guy who's used to get people over) against a young group in the Corre. Putting Show and Kane back together in this role was exactly the right idea.

i dont get kane.. before summerslam they made him into a monster, who destroy the undertaker back to back and than buried his ass, and than had edge make him look like a clown, and now hes dancing in the ring, atleast finish the storyline with the undertaker and nexus... kane goes from monster to teddy bear stop fucking with his gimmick :wtf:

I have to admit, i laughed when he did it. Kane has a special talent to be a huge monster one month and the next month a laughable giant the next month. i will say this, when he gets in the ring to fight, no one is laughing.

I agree with Luther.

Kane is winding it down and just wants to have fun now. He is incredibly talented, incredibly intelligent, and has been wise with his money so why not........let him have a comedic run. He's never done that before.

Then retire after next year's WM and go into the HOF.

It's not the end of the world, he's been in comedy moments before and bounced back just fine, fact is with Kane he's been a good guy until someone pisses him off before, and as for stupid segments, need i remind you all of the time he teamed with hogan and the rock and the millions and millions of 'Kane-a-nites'? really? is this any worse than that? or the 'chicks dig masks' bit? Even bad guys get to have a bit of fun every so often, and i actually think it was a nice rub for Santino to have someone as big of a monster as Kane soften up for Santino if even just for a moment.

I don't think there's anything Kane can ever do to ruin his Big Red Monster reputation. He's been involved in little comedy segments before and they've never hurt him. He can make people forget about these with one heelish act so he can flit easily between face/heel/tweener anytime.

The cool thing about Kane is that he's so talented he can make almost any persona work for him under the Kane name. Silly big guy? He makes it work. Monster heel? Done and done. Enhancement talent? Yep, done that, too. Tag wrestler? Indeed, indeed. And because of the way he is perceived in WWE, as a monster and a legend, he will never lose his heat or credibility. He's like Chris Jericho in that way, in that he can lose and lose, and yet challenge for the world title the next day and no one will question it.

Yesterday, after we were done laughing at Kane's trombone pose, a friend of mine turned to me and said "You know, you wouldn't think Kane would do that...but Kane's a legend and a psycho, and he can do whatever the hell he wants". And I think that's the best way I can describe it.

Kane is the only tweener the WWE really has. He can be cheered, he can be booed, he can be funny, he can be monstrous, but no matter what he does, he's always respected. The character does what he wants, when he wants, and it's just how it is.

He should turn on his team at WM and then play the horn as fire is being shot out the ring post. Kane is and always will be the man. One minute he was friends with Ray and the next week he is kicking his tale. I thought the horn thing was pretty funny and unexcepted.

Ever come face to face with him in real life in a situation where he really wants to hurt you I doubt you will put him in his place by mentioning this. Kane like the Big Show himself can do whatever goofy act he wants and bounce back as a legit monster the next month. Its more really a credit to there believability.

Guys Kane has never cared that much for the spotlight anyway, what makes him and Show so valuable to Vince is like others said already they can be monster heels, lovable goofy faces, or just thrown in to fill spots on cards ( this wm tag match, various ec's ect.). Kane is just having fun, let him.

I do agree with most of you that Kane has bounced back often from other poor gimmicks or Face / heel turns. I just found this time it seemed to quick after going through his last monster gimmick were he was beating the undertaker and looking like the baddest guy around to now teaming with others and doing comedy bits.

Kane is one of my favourite wrestlers because he'll do anything for the business and can flip from heel to face so easily. For example he buried The Undertaker and now he's getting pops and is teaming with Big Show to take out Corre of which three people helped bury Undertaker. Make sense? No? Well that's what makes him great, its people like him and Punk I enjoy the most these days because they have total control of the crowd *especially Punk*.

If Kane's last run is looming I hope he has this comedic run then returns with his mask to obliterate someone (heel or face I couldn't care less) at next year's or the year after's WM (hopefully via winning next that year's RR because those things are what Kane is about).

It's not like it's the first time he has done the comedy route. Remember his tag team with X-Pac? One time on RAW they were doing an interview, Trish came out, said somethings I can't remember, bit her lip and looked at Kane(still had the mask at the time). X-Pac gave him the "what the hell man?" look and Kane replied "chicks dig the mask." He went on to do everything he has since then and been fine. Alittle goofing around isn't going to hurt him.

Glen Jacobs, probably one of the best big man, and workers in the business. Very smart guy. It looks like he will be part of wrestlemania, get another pay day for him.

As for his character Kane. He always knows what to do, to stay relevant. A lot of guys get a big main event push, and ya never see them again. Look at Bobby Lashley and Umaga. They had a push, and never did anything with it.

Hell, John Morrison had a push one time, when him and Melina were paired up on raw, and well, he has been mid-card since then. He had K-Fed, and John Cena. He had some titles after that, but, never really saw him take off.

Kane, always relevant. Always making some sort of impact. Always there when ya need him. When he need that monster heel, he is there. When you need the big face, he is there. Still one of the top attractions in the WWE. Ya can't beat that.

Kane was kind of a goofball back in 2001-2002, and those were some of the best years of his career. The fan's like seeing the human side to his character, it's probably exhausting to him to ALWAYS try to be this Psycotic madman, if that gimmick is laid on to thick it can become stale....Just look at Abyss.

Here is an example on How Kane being funny isn't a bad thing....

To me, Kane has always been able to walk the line perfectly with being a total bad-ass and having great, memorable comedy moments. He is truely Mr. Reliable for the WWE, and a shoe in for the hall of fame once he is retired.

Aside from the fact that the 8 men tag match of Kane, Big Show, Santino and Kozlov vs the Corre is by far the least attractive aspect of Wrestlemania, I'm worried about what damage last RAW's segment did to Kane's character.

It's one thing for Kozlov and Big Show to imitate Santino's ridiculous happy dance, but Kane doing it as well was agonizing to watch.

Last year was possibly the best in Kane's long career. He was champion for a very long time (by today's standards anyway) and gave the Undertaker his biggest losing streak of his monumental career.
Kane had finally gotten there. He was this monster psychopath heel that he needed to be. But as soon as he had dropped the title again (his feud with Edge is best forgotten) the WWE immediately dropped the ball with Kane again as well.

And now, a few short months later, Kane is doing the Santino Happy Dance. Any credibility left from his last year's impressive tenure went POOF in just one instant.

Maybe the reasoning was that his career is winding down and he can take it easy now and goof around a bit, but I just think just think it was very damaging to him.

It was sad. Very sad. What do you think?

I think it's another case of where someone in the IWC takes 20 seconds of TV time and blows it way out of proportion. No, it did not kill Kane's character. The good thing about wrestling characters, ESPECIALLY ones that have been around for a long time, is there isn't much you can do to hurt the character. Aside from losing to every wrestler you face, a la Mick Foley, very few things can actually harm a wrestlers character after they've been around for a while.

This was simply a case of a good guy entertaining the crowd with something unusual. Kane will be fine.

This happens to Kane all the time, remember the Kane-A-Rooni?

They can easily revert him back, I think he just enjoys being around The Big Show but the past has shown that Kane can work surprisingly well as a baby face, though I definitely prefer his darker character.... but the point I'm making here is that Kanes character has always gone from one extreme to the other and you get the impression that he's not just around to hurt people but that he's incredibly unstable... so no I think they didn't commit character suicide, if anything it works in continuity in that when Kanes happy he goofs around.

Character suicide? "Chicks dig freaks" didn't do it. The Kane-A-Rooni didn't do it.Screwing around with The Boogeyman didn't do it. Dancing for 8 seconds will not mean shit for the big guy. He went from 5 years as a glorified jobber to the stars to World Heavyweight Champion. He can clearly come back from worse things.
