Jericho on Raw

Controversy Creates Cash
Wasn't it said not even 6 months ago that Jericho was NEVER allowed on Raw again? -sigh- yet another showing of the WWE thinking their fans have NO memory. It's fine that he's back on Raw, but don't claim some one can NEVER come back. I saw this happening eventually when they said it months ago.

Thoughts on this?

a move that wasnt necessary at all......unless they start drafting main eventers in the supplemental, smackdown has been royally screwed.....they should just pretend as if batista is still on smackdown, and draft randy to smackdown to save it....jericho couldve stayed and feuded with christian

On the same night they've got Randy Orton fighting Sheamus and Batista in a triple threat with the winner fighting Cena for the title, not too long after they promoted a PPV on the basis that it was the last ever title match that would happen between Cena and Orton, I wasn't too surprised to be honest.
Shocked to see Jericho drafted to Raw but, for SmackDown, losing Edge and Jericho could be good as it means there's more upward space for people like Punk/Swagger/Ziggler/Christian/Kingston to move into true main eventers (unless they move in the sup draft)

um.....I thought Batista was leaving? I know this has nothing to do with my original topic so i'm considering this a reply to harrythem mentioning that, in the same night of the jericho thing, orton has a #1 contender match. If Batista is leaving why give him a title match???

Wasn't the whole point behind kicking Jericho of Raw because he was officially on the Smackdown roster, and without the tag team belts he had no legal right (kayfabe) to be there? In other words the "Never allowed on Raw again!" only applied until he had legal reason to be there? I mean, when he won the WHC the first thing he did was show up on Raw.

Offtopic answer, because Batista leaving isn't confirmed, at least the date he leaves isn't. And just making him disappear after that kind of loss to Cena would be weak.

Jericho should have stayed put. Plain and simple. I thought that Jericho would at least feud with the Undertaker or something by SummerSlam. I guess that's kind of out the window. Jericho was a great heel for Smackdown, and as soon as I saw Big Show was drafted to Smackdown, I thought they would get their little alliance back together.

But who knows.

I was shocked to see Jericho drafted. With Edge already gone I expected Jericho to be leading the show on Smackdown. At least this means we will be seeing some push for the SD talent to the main event. Curious to see what Jericho will be doing on Raw. As it looks right now we may be seeing a feud develop between Edge and Orton so where would that leave Jericho? The main event scene on Raw seems pretty crowded at this moment, I guess maybe WWE is setting up for Fatal Four Way early.

Yeah I'm shocked to see that Jericho went to RAW. When I first saw Christian get drafted to smackdown the firstthing that screamed out at me was Christian vs. Jericho feud well I guess not.

This move was completely unnecessary. Who is Jericho gonna fued with John Morrison? Smackdown got completely screwed in this draft. I mean if you were gonna take Edge at least leave Jericho. I guess Vince does fear Tna.

Jericho being drafted to Raw made no sense. His feud with Edge couldn't have gone any further. Who is he now going to feud with on Raw? He would have been better off on Smackdown, where he could have at least feuded with the likes of the newly transferred Kofi Kingston or Christian. There are now too many 'main eventers' on Raw and not enough left on Smackdown, IMO.

ANother dumb move Morrison vs Jericho could be brewing though and if it does than i;ll rethink my post because that would be a hell of a feud

Why don't you people just wait till the supplemental draft? Im pretty sure we'll see some shockers on the supplemental, REAL shocker as in.. "Randy orton to smackdown!" or "John cena to smackdown!" I highly doubt they will screw smackdown THIS bad. Also, keep in mind that batista is leaving and triple h is appearently taking time off, and with the just retired shawn michaels, raw needed some star power else we were gonna be stuck in cena vs orton vs sheamus for a while.

I love that Jericho and Edge are RAW now. I really enjoy watching matches between these two. After Jericho was humiliated last night at Extreme Rules, it makes sense that this rivalry should continue. As for the rest of the Draft... Christian moving was an excellent move and the Morrison move was nice... but he'll be buried :( The rest I could really care less about.

RAW IS JERICHO AGAIN!!!!

The only superstar i fear might not make it to the main event now is the miz, i mean he was on a streak lately with his golden promos and all his improvement in wrestling, with all these main eventers here now tho, i doubt it will work.

Maybe a miz/jericho tag team would be really awesome, hart dinasty vs Jerimiz would be awesome

Yeah - It sucks that Jericho is back on RAW when the WWE promised the fans he'd NEVER be back. :disappointed: By the way, Who got drafted to RAW when Batista won the triple threat match? It wasn't shown. They just switched to the next show without mentioning who got drafted.

Nobody got drafted since it was a raw vs raw vs raw match... It was to determine the new number one contender for John cena's wwe title belt and batista won that right.

Chris Jericho going to raw is stupid, John Cena is feuded with BATISTA for a month until the next ppv is over, orton is with edge, now i think this is the perfect time to make chris a face, bring back his 2000 - 2007 tights, and feud with sheamus, well this is just my opinion.

The problem is Y2J jokes would be limited with the whole "PG era" thing, and his face character when he debuted in 2007 failed since he was nothing more than a midcarder. AND pretty much everybody is way better as a heel since face characters get boring and stale as time passes, so i'd say team him up with the miz and feud with the hart dinasty while edge/orton feud is over then make a tweener orton vs heel jericho feud for summerfest, i mean, summerslam <lol c what i did there>

I'm hoping that SmackDown does get something big come the Supplemental Draft. But I'm certainly glad that Christian is now on SmackDown. At least that way, he can grow and maybe even become the brand's top face. With so many main-eventers on RAW, it certainly does open up room for the other guys on SmackDown to step up.

A) Give up the ghost on Christian, he is a solid worker both in ring and on the mic. But I don't ever expect him to win either of the major titles. He just ironically have the charisma to lead a brand. He will bide time for Swagger and then challenge for the IC/Tag titles throughout the next year.

B) On topic, Jericho coming to Raw is a great move on WWE's part. He is one of the best on the mic, can work with every guest host, and is pound for pound the best performer on the roster today. He can work anywhere he's needed on the card. He was brought over for star power more than main event status. Now Raw is packed from start to finish with A-list talent.

C) I expect MVP to go back to SD! as his experimint failed. I also think the mid-card titles will switch brands this time with Miz going to SD! and becoming a major player there. Drew will come to Raw where he will continue his slow push to the main event.

I like the fact that WWE truly does try to mix it up every draft. And they're not afraid to take chances. Some worked, Morrison last year helped build him and Miz separately where now the tag team is a faded memory. Some didn't, MVP was an epic fail as whatever rub he got early last year died quickly.

But in those failures, there's always redemption. Jack Swagger lost every match last year, yet WWE didn't give up on him and moved him up. With a Money in the Bank PPV coming up, also the Unified Tag Titles, there are still oppurtunities to 'fix' a mistake.

Actually Jericho to Raw is very smart on WWE creatives part. He is an excellent mic worker, and one hell of a wrestler. It seems that aside from a couple talents, WWE has moved the botchers and less mic friendly talent to the smackdown roster (shows are taped and therefore can be edited) where they can be guided a little better. Guys like Christian, Punk, Undertaker and Show can help some of these guys develop the proper skill sets to go on and be better all around polished performers.

SmackDown always gets royally screwed in the draft yet every summer SmackDown always prevails as the better show. As much as I really hate seeing Chris Jericho leave, this means that the other great heel on SD, CM Punk will have no other rivals in being the top heel on the brand. Judging by how SD has performed over the past few summers, I expect the show to be able to stay on it's own two feet. With no main eventers SD forces their guys to man up and gain main event status, and we know how many complaints WWE gets about no new guys in the main event scene.

I think Jericho is just what RAW needs, a 2nd top heel. They probably put Jericho on RAW as a backup plan when Batista leaves. Orton is pretty much cemented in the tweener role and Sheamus is still a little bit new in our eyes, so RAW needs a big heel on the show, hence why Jericho is on the red show.

this move doesn't make sense to you because you don't know where WWE is going with this. every year for the draft RAW gains a shitload of stars while smackdown is left with a few main eventers, and smackdown turns out alright.

Vince is mobilizing his best troops and preparing for war. By drafting 2 of the best overall performers in the WWE to RAW he is making RAW a significantly better show. What Vince is doing is sending his best troops into the thick of battle and not having them work with a unopposed army (smackdown). What's interesting is what TNA will do answer back to this impressive and threatening decision.

Or you know... he could just be using Smackdown to create the talent for the future outside the big 6 who appear in every title match (HHH, Orton, Jericho, Edge, Batista, Cena). Smart move but im sure the TNA fanboys who see it a different way
