Jeff Dunham

RIP Sgt. Michael Paranzino / RIP CM
Can someone explain his appeal? Because I just don't get it. The man is not even slightly funny. I've tried watching his specials time after time because so many people say he's so funny, and every time within 5 minutes I change the channel. Maybe I would like him if I were ten years old and still thought funny accents were hilarious.

Someone explain to me what's so funny about the guy, because I don't get it. His comedy is just unbelievably stupid, possibly even more stupid then a guy like Larry the Cable Guy.

I think he is funny too. Maybe is just it's your taste in comedy (which isn't bad at all) which is why you don't find him funny.

I've never liked the guy. Not quite sure why he keeps getting his own specials on Comedy Central. He basically does the same jokes but with different puppets and accents. Dunham, The Blue Collar Guys, and Dane Cook are by far my 3 least favorite "popular" comedians.

Probably. I just find that kind of humor to be not in the least bit funny. Same thing with Stephen Lynch. Cool, he says slightly humorous things while playing a guitar. Amazing.

Just wondering if anyone could give me like a specific reason or routine or example of why they find him funny. I'm honestly curious, I just don't understand it.

I enjoy him. In my opinion hes like Katt Williams. A big group loves him, and a big group hates him. I enjoy them both however to no end.

I went to his live show last night. Mother fucker was hilarious. There were numerous times I was crying from laughing so hard. The tv specials sometimes get a little boring, but watching it live was just incredible.

The best part was, at the end of the show, he brought out Bubba J for an "encore" of sorts (I'm from SE Missouri...it fits), and he said he hadn't used Bubba J in a while so he had a cheat sheet to tell the jokes. But, the crowd started to recite the punchlines to the jokes with Dunham. Funny as fuck. Even Dunham didn't know what to say.

Awesome show. Highly recommended to see live.

I Kill you! ha gotta love Ahckmed. He's invented such classic puppets and the best is when they interact with each other. I think Jeff Dunham is a great comedian even outside the puppets when he starts his shows and tells jokes hes pretty dam good. Like the ones about the Prius. I saw him preform live once in Springfield, MA he has true talent and probably is the best at what he does.

He is definetly one of my favorite comedians. I guess people who don't like him just have a different taste in comedy.

Tosh for the win. I haven't seen his show yet and don't expect much from it but his standup is good.

He's just so...bland. Puppets and impressionists are just the lowest form of comedy. No offense Sly ol' buddy.

Is there any real defining of humor?

You either find it funny, or you don't. I don't think you can particularly rationalize it.

Some people laugh when someone says 'fuck' a lot. Is that good humor? I think that most people's inner crap detector can tell between good and bad, and that it takes a bit more to classify anything as great.

Wasn't looking for a rationalization of his popularity, more of why/what his fans think makes him funny.

Katt Williams is about the most obnoxious comedian ever, not funny what so ever

As for Dunham, it's the different puppets each is it's own unique character, and brings something different to the table, for example you could hate Bubba J but love Walter or Achmed

That's why I like him more than other comedians. Other than being funny His stand-up is different than other comedians. He also doesn't have to use the word Fuck to make people laugh.
