Well, I guess I was pretty much just myself. People didn't like me at first, but then they started to get to know me, understood my sense of humor, and eventually found me to be extremely entertaining on an everyday basis.
I certainly wasn't taken under someone's wing and "shown the ropes". I never had someone looking over my shoulder for me.
