Is the Moneyball Story that Madden Wrote "Real"?

Back to the topic at hand now...

Madden is ajackass usually, but he hit the nail right on the head this time.

He could have done without the little Hardy, and Karen remark's, but that wouldn't be Madden now would it...

Hardy right now doesn't need someone like Madden saying shit like that if JEFF is legit about trying to clean himself up.

Karen does deserve everything she get's, but she does have a family, and he should be more careful at what he say's.

But everything was spot on about HOGAN, and the KAZARIAN, AND HIS WIFE, and of course VINCE RUSSO. Hard to disagree with Madden on most of his rant.

Jeff doesn't need people like that saying stuff like that? He is hardly going to read it and start crying and say "Oh no, Mark Madden said that about me in an article, Matt, quick, where is the bong."

Karen again, her kids aren't ever going to see it so it doesn't matter.

You know what I find amusing? This was probably one of Madden's better columns for a while. It was funny, satirical and made a few interesting points, yet the whole point of it seems to have disappeared into a "biggest d*ck" competiton on here. I didnt for a second believe it to be real, some guy did, he got ripped for it and now this, wont somebody please think of the children!
Im sure a mod will shut it down soon, but until then, lets keep it nice people!
(check me out being the peace maker for a change!)

It is amusing that several ppl here would rather focus on name calling and trolling than actually adding insight to this thread. Pathetic that meaningful conversation gets lost in favor of guys entertaining themselves with weak insults and flaming. The whole point of this column was to entertain us with a possible scenario that could benefit TNA.

I personally thought that the moneyball scenario would be the perfect solution to TNA's problems. They need proper management that can evaluate the value of each person to their company. I've got a feeling if that were to happen, guys like Hogan, Flair, Russo, Bischoff and several others would be fired. I like how Madden probably based the reactions of Russo and Hogan on real life experiences with seeing them in WCW. It was hilarious to see Russo overreacting to critism of his booking and Hogan trying to justify TNA needing him to sell the company. Even though I hate them, it was funny to see the baseball analogies that were made to Hogan.

I don't usually like to endorse Madden's ideas, but he did raise some valid points and good possible solutions. His scenario wouldn't solve all of TNA's problems, but from my view it would be a damn good start. Kind of a rebirth of sorts for a company with all the potential in the world and no way of realizing it.

Totally agree and if the rumours are true about Hogan going (I know the retirement thing is a storyline but he could go at the end of his contract which is fairly soon) then now is the perfect time to implement those changes he mentions. The sad thing is, TNA dont need to do much, the talent is in the lockeroom, there are fans out there that want something new a different and if they can just get the backstage thing right they could really make an Impact (pun totally intended!)
