The only reason they gave him the title was they didn't want Umaga to look too bad dropping the title because he is considered a main eventer. If he lost to Jeff Hardy or Carlito it would make him look weak. They picked a no name and had Lashley help him win. I wouldn't count on him holding the title too long. In fact he will probably drop the title to Masters or someone like that.
