The rumour mills are this morning running wild. The wrestling world is abuzz as word surfaces that an at this time unnamed billionaire businessman has bought all stocks of World Wrestling Entertainment, including those held by the members of the McMahon Family, effectively giving them 100% ownership and control of the professional wrestling giant.
The unnamed buyer is also said to have bought out the Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling promotion.
If all of the above proves to be true, the buyer has effectively gained a monopoly over the world of professional wrestling. Stay Tuned for more updates as news comes to hand.

The New York Stock Exchange can, at this time, confirm an official takeover of listed company World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). 100% of listed shares in the company were bought by IC Entertainment, a privately held company incorporated in the state of California.
We can also confirm that, resulting from the 100% takeover, all share trading in World Wrestling Entertainment was halted, and the company has now officially been removed from the New York Stock Exchange, making it now a fully privatised company.

The following is from corporate.wwe.com:
World Wrestling Entertainment can this morning confirm an official 100% takeover by IC Entertainment Ltd (The Buyer). The takeover is confirmed following the buyer's buyout of all listed shares on the New York Stock Exchange. The Buyer also came to an official agreement with the McMahon family for the buyout of all privately held shares in the company, making them the new 100% owners of World Wrestling Entertainment.
World Wrestling Entertainment is currently not in a position to confirm what direction it will be taken by the new parent company, but can confirm that all WWE programming has been suspended at this time. We can suggest only that interested people watch for an official press release from the buyer.
