Backstory

It’s August 2007 and things in the WWE have gone chaotic. With WrestleMania not getting tremendous buy rates and ratings at an all time low, Things deteriorated and within three weeks, Vince McMahon closed World Wrestling Entertainment… the biggest company in Sports Entertainment history had danced for the last time.

New Promotion?

With the demise of World Wrestling Entertainment, it is reported that Shane and Stephanie McMahon have bought the company from their father. Not many details have been released, but one is to believe that they could be building the foundations for a new promotion.

Looks interesting. Very interesting. It'll be nice to have some serious opposition to the iiWF. Hopefully we can generate some interest in this area again.

Thanks for the comments. I'll be sure to check out your thread shortly. From what you've said, it's seems a shame that BTB isn't a strong point here, hopefully with my thread and your thread things can turn around. Here's the first bit of news post-the opening post.

Oh, and I'll be editing the first post with every news I post. That way things will be archived and if people don't want to go through the thread, they can see the stuff in the original post.

Breaking News: Championship Wrestling Enterprise born, Vince McMahon retires

At a press conference held this afternoon at the former WWE Headquarters at Stamford, Connecticut, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon signed over what was left of World Wrestling Entertainment to his son Shane and daughter Stephanie. Vince talked about how he had made several mistakes and how with this news, it was the right time to retire for him. Vince received a standing ovation from those in attendance before the matter of what to do with the remainder of the WWE was discussed.

Shane and Stephanie then announced that in a month’s time, they would debut to the world Championship Wrestling Enterprise, with more details being revealed over the next few weeks

A piece or two of news should come daily, depending on the pace I'm writing and the interest.

Thanks for the interest Tsr, rep added. Here's the next bit of news.

Championship Wrestling Enterprise signs major superstar

It won’t come as a surprise to many, but the CWE has signed it’s first superstar in Triple H. After all, Triple H is the husband of Stephanie McMahon, so it was only a matter of time before it was announced.

It should be assumed that Triple H will be Main Eventing the CWE as he was a Main Eventer back in the WWE

More to come tomorrow.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, I've added rep to youses all. Here's some more:
