If you could bring back someone who could last longer then a year?

quink987

Pre-Show Stalwart
Ok first off its wrestlers who can still put on a show and could last more then a year, year and a half tops and if needs be can only do TV tapings and PPV's.

For it would be Brock Lesner i would love to see him back in the WWE he was the main guy at the end of 2002 and 2003 he made smackdown fun to watch and the feuds he could have now would be awesome another feud with John Cena, Randy Orton, another one with Undertaker, Mason Ryan(after he reaches the main event) Sheamus and Great Khali

What is your guys thoughts?

I could give you the simple answer of Michaels, or bring back my fav. wrestler Chris Jericho if he's indeed done with the WWE. But I'm going to say...

Funaki.

Funaki had it all, from great mic skills to great in ring skills. He was a main eventer during his prime, and really showed the "WWE universe" why he is considered a legend. Funaki is around his early 40s, and he can definitely give the WWE one more good run.

Sorry, I just see too many threads like this to even care at this point.

I would bring back Shelton Benjamin.

Now granted, his was the most charasmatic guy in the world but, he put some awesome matches, does anyone remember when he faced HBK and took the Sweet Chin Music off the top rope?

Also, anytime he was in a ladder match, or given the US/IC titles, he was on top of his game.

From what I hear, he wasnt always fully into his matches, and thats a shame, because, he was a very good wrestler.

AFTER he reaches the main event? That seems like a long, and I mean LONG way off. He may look like Batista, but some how he is actually about 10x as shit-house as the Animal. Makes you kind of wish that he would come back. And at this point I think Lesner vs Khali would stink worse than Mark Henry.

For me it would have to be Jericho. We have yet to see a proper, full time, Jericho vs Taker fued, and I think that given the right build and given the oppertunity, Y2J vs Taker could be as good/better than the HBk/Taker fued. We all know that Y2J would lose, but it would still be more entertaining than 80% of WWE programming. I've heard that this Mania is HHH vs Taker, which should be good, but Jericho could bring SO much more to the table.

When I read the thread title I instantly thought Eddie Guerrero, but clearly he doesn't apply to the criteria.

Hmm, it's an interesting question and I'm going to try and rock the boat a little by saying JBL. I loved the guy and I think he could feud with a hellof a lot of people, particularly the Miz who could do a face turn against JBL.

One of them would be JBL. He knew how to play a crowd so well. I mean the guy would go to extreme lengths to gain heat and it was more than just saying the local city sucked ass. He did a nazi salute while the WWE was in Germany which was a little over the top but still. He isn't bad in the ring neither so I think it would work for a year or two and Smackdown! could use some more star power.

Oh great thread, but for me it is an easy an answer. The Rock. Okay now some might say that he is not ever going to do this but the thread said people who could come back and The Rock is one person who could come back for a few years actually and be just as good as before! The Rock was so good on Monday night and he showed that not only would he be the top guy right off the bat but he would dominate everyone! The wrestlers need The Rock to set the bar so they can try and live up to him. Can you imagine seeing some of these matches? I would love to see a Cena/Rock match just because i want Rock to make him look like an amateur, Rock vs. Orton would be great, Rock vs. Taker at Wreslemania 28!!! EPIC!!! Just great matches that could be if he would come back! And it would make wrestling way more exciting then it is now.

The easy answer to this thread is Brock Lesnar

He is young, in great shape, a proven big name ticket seller, an amazing athlete and physically capable of carrying the company for 10 years.

Lesnar was going to be THE man for the WWE before he left to try out for the NFL, the whole focus of the WWE was to build Lesnar as the new face to carry the WWE for the forseeable future and he was phenomenally talented in the ring.

He could brawl, go technical when required and had the most amazing strength of any wrestler I have ever seen. Out of any wrestler in the world who could come back to the WWE for more than one year, Brock Lesnar is by far the best option and it is not even close. There is noone else out there at his age with the name value, proven track record of success and who would make a bigger impact on their return than Brock.

The thread should end right here

BTW I am not including The Rock because that is the obvious choice, and WILL NOT happen. Lesnar could still return at some point, and as The Rock has already made a return I am not considering him

Chris Jericho would be my pick.

He is far superior to Brock Lesnar in every category. In ring skills, promo skills, u name it. A modern era feud between him and The Rock would blow up my TV. The best rivalries in the past 3 years have mostly involved Jericho, and he won Superstar of the Year and multiple world titles during his recent tenure. Save_Us.222 was a great return for Jericho, and his new gimmick was even better.

He is a larger-than-life character, and while that is the only category that Brock exceeds him in, it has much more significance when you love the business like Jericho does. He is guaranteed to give us his all. Wrap all of the attributes together, and you got the Ayatollah. Nuff said.

I would love Brock Lesnar to come back. I am 100% sure he will be back when his MMA/UFC career finishes.

He was among the best powerhouses of the last decade.

So Brock Lesnar

I'm gonna go a different route. It's easy to pick a Rock, or Jericho or Lesnar, of course we'd all like to see them back, but for me, I'd love to see Sean O'Haire get another run.

I remember when he debut'd in the wwe.

He had the size, the look, the agility, everything you would have thought of in a future world champ. How many guys his size can hop to the top rope like RVD, then do a swanton better than jeff hardy, and still look like he could go toe to toe with Batista in a street fight.

I think he went on to do MMA, so he's probably in good enough shape to come back. Just show up on Smackdown, lay out Edge, and I'd be happy.

Petey Williams.
I know he's still active.. I mean to a promotion that I can watch (RoH, TNA or WWE).

Goldberg maybe depending how he could be used.
The Rock if he would actually wrestle.
Elix Skipper.

I was alwasy a Billy Kidman fan...I'd love for him to come back as an active wrestler although not from his final run with the goofy robe that he wore...that just looked silly...Imagine him and Mysterio with a feud...or kidman v. Evan Bourne....I guess maybe I'd just like to see the cruiserweight title back

"The Alpha Male" Monty Brown. From what I understand he left wrestling to take care of his sister's kids. A limited schedule could allow him to do both. I always thought he had main event potential.

Chris Jericho. Yes, a return is in the future (still under contract.), but I wanna see him NOW. I love Chris Jericho. He was so amazing on the mic, to me, as a heel. And I think, more than anything else, his in-ring ability is missed. He could use his strength. He could also fly. Look at the fact that he is 40, and see him do a Lionsault as good as 10 years ago, and try to tell me he isn't good. And he could tell a story in the ring, something most people can't do. He could sell whatever he needed to. Jericho is something too valueable the WWE to let go after a year long return though... :p

Im going to go for MICK FOLEY

I know he has done it before, but bringing him in as the Anonymus Raw General Manager, would at least be a little realistic in terms of experience, built slowly, foley could do for someone like....Sheamus, Del Rio or even the Miz exactly what he did for Edge, Randy Orton and Triple H!
Id love to see The Miz slowly build a rivalry with Foley, ending in a hardcore rules match with miz going over cleanly, would really give back bone to his building main event repetouire!

I should start by saying that while guys like Rock, Lesnar, etc. are obvious choices, they've already shown what they're capable of accomplishing. It's far more interesting to me to think of what someone could potentially do that was never really given the proper chance.

So because of this I'll go with Alex Wright as Beryln. I actually just started a thread about this yesterday, but I'll elaborate a little here.

He is only 35 years old, still looks great, and can definitely still go in the ring. In an era where there aren't a lot of really defined gimmicks he could play a great foreign heel. Could definitely have a nice program with Byran for the US title, and then after winning it, could make a mockery of it, renaming it the German title, or spitting on it, or something he could get some serious heat. The potential for what he could achieve would be huge, not to mention with the WWE trying to reach a more global audience with Mexican, English, Japanesse, Indian, etc. wrestlers on the roster I certainly think there is a place there for a German on the roster.

Honorable mentions go to Sean O'Haire, Hakushi, and Jeff Hardy (who's currently wasting his best character development in TNA)

yea im gonna say BATISTA while he was there i didnt like him as much n its a simple case of not knowing what u got till its gone...the main reason i didnt like him was bcuz for a large portion of his career (after evolution) he was a face n i just thought he worked SO much better as a heel i mean look at the guy u kno? but i would love to see him return i think the fans would go nuts n i think he left the wrong way kinda like lita they both kinda got the short end of the stick wen retiring...in my opinion wen u accomplish so much n gain so much respect in the locker room n with the fans i think u should be given the mic to say goodbye to the fans n how much u appreciate them n whatever....they both lost their last matches n that will stick with them i think they shoulda put em over n thats why i think he should come back :)

Everyone on this site are marks.. Undertaker, Sting, The Rock, Brock Lesnar blah blah blah.. I give respect to the people who really know wrestling and the better wrestlers out there who never got or took the chance.. So with that I will have to say..

NATHAN JONES
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkVKp9uw6YI

He came from the "big guy" era, and never got any shine.. He makes people like Mason Ryan now looks terrible.

P.S I REALLY hate Mason Ryan.. "Faith" (In stupid accent)

Nathan Jones was a muscle head, with no mic talent and possibly a worse accent than Mason Ryan, if I could see anybody for a bit longer it'd be Sean O' Haire. Now from what I know he isn't wrestling in the Indies. But I think it was such a shame that he never even sniffed a WWE feud. Hell, even if WWE didn't sign him, O' Haire could have been a hell of an opponent for Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, or AJ Styles. The Devil's Advocate gimmick was so new and fresh at the time that is a travesty that it never saw the light of day. Now he is no Rock, SCSA, or Brock Lesnar, but the length that his character could've went could have been legendary.

I would bring back the Great Muta. I've always thought that Muta and Taker would make a great WrestleMania moment. The entrences along would be spectacular. The deamon of Death Valley vs the Pearl of the Orient

Well, now that Rock is with us until Mania, there is one person that is definitely missing from the mix: Mick Foley. As the anonymous GM, as a manager, as a random mouthpiece/trainer/novelty act, whatever...

RAW before Mania, Rock gets to host a "This is your life" episode for Mick. Circle completed, everything is illuminated. :)

Amy Dumas

The womens division is lacking real wrestlers, seeing Lita/Kong or Lita/Natalia matches would be great. She is one of the few women who could go in the ring and probably the best womens wrestler in the last 20 years.
