Hulk Hogan rumors

Fizzy

Mid-Card Championship Winner
I was reading the main website, and Hogan stated in an interview that his favorite letters are C&J or maybe J&C. That obviously means he is teasing a match with either Jericho or John Cena. Which do you think is most likely? Which would you most like to see and why?

Personally I would like to see the Cena match. I think with Cena out of the title picture for Mania this would be a great substitute. I don't think it will be a good match in terms of wrestling skill, but it will surely get a shit ton of buys for this match alone. I also would like to see it, because this is a match that is like Hogan vs Rock. It is the biggest star in the company today vs arguably the greatest legend to ever step in the ring. I think the Jericho match would be better in terms of a wrestling match, but the Cena match would be just great to see.

What are your thoughts?

I really don't trust much of what Hogan has to say these days, but I guess it is possible. I really don't see Hogan at Mania XXV, nor do I think he is in high demand like he's been before.

I think the match with Jericho is more likely. The legends could band together and get the biggest legend of them all...Hogan...to show that jerk Jericho some respect. I don't see Cena being out of the title picture for Wrestlemania. He's going to be in a title match. I also am not sure that Hogan would lose to Cena, which would likely need to be the case if the deal was to get done.

Bottom line: Mania doesn't NEED Hogan. He wasn't at XX, and that should be proof enough that Vince isn't just going to fork over the money for Hogan this time around unless it's just right.

It's too early to tell, and Hogan is notorious for doing this type of stuff every year when Wrestlemania comes circling around. He's done it routinely every year for the last 5 years, and he only showed up on the night he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at 21, so that was to be expected.

If Hogan shows, the natural match is with Chris Jericho at this point. Cena vs. Hogan is the money match, but Cena will be invovled with the title at one point on the card before it's all said and done. Cena is too big of a star to be away from the title at this card. Jericho has been stomping legends for the last month, and it would only make sense for Jericho to face the biggest Legend of them all.

I agree if he comes back, which i dont think he is needed at all, it makes a ton of sense for it to be Hogan vs Jericho. If he does come back why wouldnt it be against Jericho. Jericho's current angle hass been going on for awhile now and who would he face then? Jericho vs Hogan could be an ok match but we all know the outcome.

As far as Cena vs Hogan goes, that would be a cash cow for the WWE. If this would happen, I hope Vince would show his giant grapefruits and tell Hogan that John Cena is getting the win. Hogan has nothing to gain by winning, whereas Cena would take a step backwards if he lost in my opinion. A win for Cena could elavate him even higher. I pray if this one happens that Hogan does the right thing and would job to John Cena

Hogan is known for being an media ****e so this could just be a way to stay in the spotlight, and he is also known for stirring up stuff and enjoys rumors so that could be it too, who knows.

Hogan would do WM if the price is right and that's it. If Vince is willing to give him a hefty paycheck than Hogan will do it. Like it's been said I don't really think Hogan is needed to make a sucessful WM but his star power and his media coverage outside of the WWE would help.

If Hogan is indeed doing WM, Jericho seems like the obvious choice due to the legends storyline. But with Cena possibility not in the title match(Big Show/Edge is scheduled even though I think Cena will be put in it)he could be an option as well. And I think it also depends if Austin is going to be involved wrestling wise too. So who know's if Hogan will be at WM, there's a possiblity but I think it all comes down to a price, and if Vince want's to shell out the big bucks.

I think it might be Hogan/Cena. it would explain why hes not in title match. I also stated in another thread that the MITB winner would cash it in that night. And if they did, I don't see Orton or HHH jobbing, but Edge or Show seems possible. And that would mean someone else for Jericho. I started a Jericho/ Savage thread, OMG, would that be awesome?

I just read that Hogan has been teasing the idea of a match with Jericho or Cena at WM on the homepage. Not to mention that Cena has no match at the moment at Mania. If this happens it would be huge. Gargantuan. Who do you think would go over though. Hogan wouldn't put Orton or Michaels over in his last two outings. Would it be a more special WM moment if Hogan won or Cena won? Discuss.

I think the problem is that Hogan vs. Cena would be big and fitting to the 25th Anniversary theme, Old School vs. New School. But they had so much time to prepare for it, it's really passed it for Cena vs. Hogan at Wrestlemania, announcing that is similiar to how they built up Batista vs. Cena, little buildup what-so-ever.

Jericho vs. Hogan could work because as many have said, it fits to the legends position. Also at the same time, Jericho would not be afraid to lay down for Hogan to fit with the storyline, it will probably be that he gets attacked by all the Legends available to make it a credible loss. This would also make it likely for Jericho "see the light" and turn face. But I think Jericho is in his prime as a heel and doesn't need to change just yet IMO.

lol in my opinion that would be straight arse-crack.

good vs good for no reason :|

i spose it could be like Hogan vs The Rock at whatever WM that was but with only like a month and a bit to hype it up it'd be rather poo.

im hoping that Hogan wrestles Jericho at 25 :D

Cena would definitely go over Hogan if this happened. If it did this would be huge for Cena, obviously he's already the biggest star in the company but going over the biggest name of all time at Wrestlemania would be historic. And for those that think Hogan wouldn't do it they're wrong, despite what people think Hogan will put people over if he think its the right thing to do and good for business. He didn't put over HBK because that wasn't good for him or wrestling. HBK didn't need to go over Hogan because HBK was already a HOF and he isn't in WWE's long term plans. All it would do is make Hogan look weaker so if he ever made another appearance a win over him wouldn't seem as big. Yeah I know a win over Hogan will always be big no matter what but I think that was the logic behind why he didn't think it was right.

With Cena it is different because he's obviously in WWE's long term plans and even though he is already the top guy getting a win over Hogan would be huge for him and it would help WWE and wrestling in general. HBK going over Hogan would have done neither. That's the difference.

Didn't mean to drift off the subject and talk about HBK but I know somebody would have brought that up at some point.

Oh yeah and for the record I don't think this is gonna happen. Maybe Jericho and Hogan since it ties into the legends thing Jericho has going on but doing it with Cena would just be too rushed. What is there like a month till Mania? Even if Hogan came back next Raw it would only give 3 weeks build up, a match of this magnitude should have more than that.
