Seriously, I must get about 12,000 fucking PMs a day from people I have to warn/infract, all either complaining about being warned/infracted or asking why their post is spam and what they have to do to make it not spam. I mean, seriously, how about READING THE FUCKING RULES? How hard could this novel idea possibly be? You'd think you'd read the fucking rules to the forum you join, or at the veyr least after one warning you'd go and seek them out.

It's gotten to the point where I just don't even respond to those questions anymore. It just astounds me how stupid so many people are.

But you have common sense Gelgarin, enough common sense that if someone were to warn/infract you, you'd skim the rules.

I mean, it's just astounding some of these people. Especially how pissy they get "OMGZ UZ WONT LET ME POST ONE WURD SENTENCEZ ON DA INTANET FORUMZ?! NATZI!"

Or there's the classic "What do I have to write a fucking novel?!" Next time someone asks me that, I'm going to reply yes, and that they should get started on their first few chapters.

Yeah, I've gotten a couple myself. One I totally deserved, the other not so much but it's not a big deal. They're just warnings, it doesn't really matter.

I've been infracted a few times.....not since my week long ban though. I've never read the rules. But any poster with even a third of a brain could realize that making a one word post or posting something totally unrelated to the topic at hand would be spam.

People don't want spam emails so why would someone want to see spam on a forum they post on?

This. THAT and NorCal seemed like someone who would ban someone for breaking them at a whim, so I read them to make sure I didn't do any of the things mentioned. Then I spammed in a complaint thread. I've had 'warnings', so I can't really complain.

If I could, I'd have an automatic PM sent to everyone the moment they signed up with the rules in it. But, we can't, because we don't let people use the PM system until they have 10 posts.


But yeah, the Rules AND the FAQ...people need to read them. I'm going to start warning/infracting for people who ask the same fucking questions over and over again in the Forum Ask a Question thread.
