HHH/HBK/Undertaker Segment

Dark Match Jobber
I am a noobie just looking to see what people thought of the the segment as a whole, i found this to be so attitude era if any one wants to talk about it please do

I thought that it was a very good segment. I sort of felt bad for Shawn Michaels, though. They made him sound like a washed up has-been. It makes me think that he is going make some sort of appearance in the 'Mania match. He's either going to help end the Streak or he's going to cost Triple H the match so Hunter wouldn't accomplish something that he couldn't. I did find it interesting that they painted Triple H as the underdog.

it was a great segment and the buildup to wm 27 is better due to this segment.I was truly in it .... it had so storytelling between the three!!!!!!!!! i still wonder when hunter asked shawn to say it he just didn't say anything that's something suspense creator!!!!!!! now, we all should wait if hbk gets involved or not in this interesting match!!!!!!!!!

there can be two things :

1. HBK betrays hunter to avoid him from breaking the streak

2. HBK helps hunter in an effort to end the streak which i seriously doubt!!!!!!

I'm leaning towards the first one. I could see HBK getting in the ring and making it seem like he's going to superkick 'Taker, but nails Hunter instead. The only problem with that is that it would sort of have to lead to another Michaels/Triple H match, and Shawn's been trying to stick to his retirement, but who knows, maybe he wants his actual last match to be against Triple H like his first match back from the back injury was.

Here's the ting...while that segment was Great!!! I have to say, either way - this segment seems to show 2 things...

1). If HBK cost HHH the match, HBK will be seen as coming "Back" from retirement (Which I would love to see) :)

2). If HBK cost the Undertaker the match, HBK will be seen as coming "Back" from retirement (Which again, I would love to see) :)

So, it looks like HBK might be coming back! :):)

The storyline tonight really made me think back to Micheals vs Flair.
The whole "its time to put Ol' Yeller down"
I think this might be the end of the streak...while I would hate to see it.
Also i don't think Micheals will be involved. While it adds a twist in the story it really cheapens THE match of WM27.

About they time they actually built this match, Now it's a must see match IMO, There is a big chance we will see HBK involved in the match somehow, Seeing Shawn was great and listening to what HHH and Taker had to say was also good..

I think that if they have HBK screw over HHH, that ruins the whole streak, and this storyline. Undertaker won't be happy if he doesn't do it himself, and HHH obviously would be pissed. And HBK helps HHH, that also screws up the whole streak and this storyline, because undertakers streak is over... basically from cheating (even if it is no holds barred), which is really lame, and HHH couldn't do what HBK couldn't do, but he still was able to. I think HBK stays away from this match. And celebrates with HHH or helps HHH drown his sorrows. That being said I don't think HHH is going to be the one to put Taker down. I think in the end taker will retire undefeated, whever that end is.

Look, this is why Taker will win. With this segment, which I thought was very well done, the seed of doubt has been placed in Triple H. There is no need for a head game match between Taker and H. Michaels accomplished all of the necessary head game in one segment of Raw. Think about it for a minute.

1. Triple H again interrupts Takers music. But Taker responds by ending H's water spit. Game On!!
2. Sean Michaels in the ring (his appearance may be the only thing that saved this segment in following a Road Warrior POP). Michaels gives his spew completely breathing all of the confidence in the world.
3. At every turn Triple H has Takers attention and even calls our Michaels for his weakness against Taker. It appears that H has Taker thinking.
4. Then the moment. "Tell him why I'll beat him Shawn". Michaels sells 100% that he is a broken man. As he walks away you can read his lips "You can't beat him".
5. Taker snears as he exits the ring and H's head is down the entire time. Confidence that was there the entire segment is gone, doubt is in his mind.

For Michaels to have any involvement in this match other than maybe watching from the ramp would be a huge mistake. Either Triple H loses and Taker stares down Michaels who cowers as Taker walks past him at the top of the ramp. Or H wins and Michaels charges the ring to congratulate him. A clean win or loss. Any way you look at it though, Michaels is set up for a return and a feud with Triple H who would be furious at the lack of support from his "friend". Again, a come out of retirement cheapens the whole retirement match thing. Why bother with those matches? If you have a match like that, let the retired person be retired or at least be gone at least for several years.

Dear God I haven't seen a thread with so many newbies and marks in ages - alas thats not true, WZ is full of wwe marks. Anyway, the segment was ok, but only because HBK did most of the talking. The involvement was not a surprise, it was bound to happen and it made more sense for HBK to chose Taker over HHH because, as evidence by all you sheep above, some people now think a) the streak will be ended - which it won't and b) HBK will get involved and this will lead to him returning to the ring - which while the former may happen, the latter definately won't. HBK is just involved to push up buy rates and compensate for Taker having no mic skills and HHH being a bad actor.

The streak will continue until at least 20-0 and HBK will stay retired. Sorry to disappoint all you sheep out there, by thinking otherwise just means VKM can ring more money out of you for a mediocre WM.

Segment was good, it was built to come across as an intense staredown, which would replicate the first one from 21/2/11. And then sending Shawn Michaels down there really added to the whole story. Especially when he asked, "What makes you think... You can do what I couldn't?" to Triple H. Thought that was well executed and it built some heat between Shawn and Hunter, which was then added upon with Shawn walking out when Hunter asked him to tell Taker why he'd win.

Was a good segment, and it really got over the new avenue they seem to be heading with Undertaker, more-so than the others hes done since his return. Built the match at Wrestlemania to me, as being bigger than all the rest.

Well HHH said something about a pact they had where one would put the other down if it was time. So HBK may superkick HHH and cost him the match to put him down without coming back, we'll see.

As far as the segment goes it made me contemplate buying Mania again even if it's overpriced, very good segment.

The segment was great, IMO. What I really liked about it is shawn's expressions, I almost thought it was real. The mix feelings they had towards each other was brilliant. Taker wanted the streak to be broken by hhh, but only when the time is right. HBK want his best friend to win, but he also want him to lose(jealousy). HHH believe he can put an end to the streak, but I don't think that the case after shawn left the ring with that hopeless expression on his face. Overall, It was great.

I thought the segment was very well done.It was kind of weird for Triple H to be talking about Undertaker in that way,in a sense, humanizing Undertaker. It would be a really good match and all this tension between Michaels and Undertaker and Triple H makes it even better.I doubt Shawn Michaels would get physically involved or that he would screw either one over, though I think he may run down the ring and make the 3-count while the referee is incapacitated.Screwing a wrestler over would force him to come out of retirement, and I don't think Shawn Michaels has any plans to break his promise of retiring from wrestling.

Michaels got major heat on himself by asking HHH "What in the world makes you think you could do what I couldn't," and by quietly walking away when HHH asked him to speak for him. Michaels is going into the hall of fame with that kind of heat? Something's gotta give where he either gets involved or his retirement was one big work revolving around this match.

HBK took that segment and the feud to another level. I really admired that he let himself look sort of weak in order to help the other two give more hype to the match. It is especially admirable five days before he is put in the Hall of Fame.

I do not think that he will get involved physically in the match.

Silly Rock, wrestling is for kids. Adults have porn and Saw movies.

And *you* call people sheep and marks? Seriously? Wow...

Regardless, the segment was awesome and exactly what this feud needed. We have been getting exactly the same promos from both men for the past several weeks. Streak. Blah blah blah. Die trying. Blah blah blah. It had become bland and wasn't going anywhere. Shawn Michaels was the catalyst to make this interesting again.

The problem with the angle to this point has been the lack of heat. There's only so much that respecting your opponent and what not can bring to a feud. Without it getting personal, it's just rather dull. Remember the mind games between Taker and Michaels leading up to their two Mania matches? How awesome was it seeing Shawn Michaels imitate the Undertaker in an all white getup? Or have him come out from under the ring to cost him the title. Things like that made the feud interesting.

HHH and Taker giving the same promo for the past several weeks, not so much. But Shawn Michaels coming out, tossing his two cents in, stirring the pot, and essentially telling Hunter that he can't win? That sold the match. HBK doesn't need to, nor should he, be involved in the match itself. He's done his part. They've written this perfectly. They can easily have an angle where HBK sticks around after Mania, or doesn't.

Lastly, think about the last images we've seen before their Mania match. HHH standing in the ring, a look of shock and disbelief on his face as his best friend abandons him, followed up by the Undertaker smirking and tipping his hat. Simple, effective, and so much more interesting.

IMO, it is pretty obvious that Michaels is gonna cost Triple H the match.... too obvious maybe.
I think Shawn will be sitting at ringside during the event, just like any fan could be.

Maybe at some point, he will jump off the ramp and get involved in the match, but no more.
I don't want to see him as a guest referee, there is already a match which features Stone Cold as a guest ref.
2 matches w/ guest ref would be too many, wouldn't it ?

I believe that HBK will interfer. Who he assists has yet to do seen, but whoever it is will not accept his help. I'll lean towards HHH getting the help, then tell HBK, "Not this way". HBK may even possible blast HHH with some sweet chin music after that, then Undertaker will refuse a win in that fashion. HBK will get frustrated blast Taker again, then walk out on both of them as the defeated guy he was at the end of the RAW segment.

Interesting situation they have though, with the top Hall of Fame inductee being portrayed as a beaten man. We've always loved HBK for that kind of stuff though.

I think that his involvement will not lead to his in ring return. Why? So he can wrestle HHH and Taker again? Maybe he'll come back in a few years (WMXXX???) to wrestle (and lose to) the new "Mr. WrestleMania", whoever that may be.

It was a great promo and made an interesting match even better. But I want to ask what was the song playing during first promo on RAW when they showed Trips and Taker... This song rocks so please tell me. I think it is Johnny Cash but i am not sure.

Damn i just realised that it is In time by Mark Collie. Great song

i thought when shawns music hit n he came down to the ring he was going to say the only thing that will be better is with me teh referee. i kept waiting for it then it didnt happenw as kinda disapointted. then when HHH said shawn tell him why im gonna beat the streak i thought hbk was gonna say im the special ref but no he just left! DAMN IT what a mania it could of been..... ROCK, HHH, TAKER, AUSTIN and MICHAELS...old times all over again

Wow. Thank you for being the type of ''Fan'', that ruins every single thread that this forum has. YOU, My friend, are the type that has messed up this social site.

Someone having an opinion about this match, that differs from yours, does NOT make them a ''Noob'' or a ''Mark''. And I sure as hell hope your not basing this on post count, Mr 100

The segment was very well done, the emotion was great, the crowd was decently hot. And I believe this was the best lead up they've done since the first initial stare down.

Predicting the matches are what fans do, and if all you do, is sit around judging peoples opinions, Go watch TNA, I bet you like their ''shock'' value swerves like a druggie holding the title, then losing it a 2 minutes to a wrestler well past his prime.

Let fans be what they are. Even the term Mark is over used on here, its something people say to sound smart, though its a INSIDER term, not one that makes sense for us to even use. So, respectfully I ask, leave those type of immature posts off of here, or if you have something logical to add, don't act like a child who needs attention.

This is one of the best promos I've seen in the PG Era. When I first saw it I almost came on WrestleZone and raved about it but I lost the self-confidence and thought people would attack me for overhyping it but I must say I was riveted at every word and felt all the emotions that the 3 men conveyed in the ring

Levels of intensity were added to this match that I couldn't even believe. Just when I was thinking, "Man. What if Mania bombs," There we go. Me and the old man were debating on whether HBK would be involved at all. The segment ruled. Both guys played their parts brilliantly, and Shawn does a great job at portraying the "broken man." If Shawn does get involved, I wondering where things will go afterward. Emotions ran wild, and the crowd ate it up, as did I.

HBK may get involved somehow in this match (who he helps, who knows), but I think the Undertaker will win go 19-0 and then have probably Cena challenge him at next years wrestlemania. (as he is currently the next superstar on the roster that you could actually believe beating his streak)

I also don't beleive that HBK will come out of retirement, he has said many times while he misses the fans he does not miss the in ring action or the grind of it
