So barely a year into his career some have deemed him a failiure?
On ALL of the PPV's he has wrestled on he has been the best thing on it in terms of character and making it work. He isn't doing enzuguri's like a Big Bossman or Moonsaults like a Bam Bam Bigelow but he is the closest there has been to Bigelow in terms of agility and charisma. Unlike the Bammer and even Vader, Bray can talk rings round most of the roster.
It's off kilter but that is VERY in vogue now due to the Warrior and Jake getting their dues... people are looking for that X ingredient when it comes to how their wrestlers act and behave and all 3 of the Wyatts have that to varying degrees. Harper is downright creepy at times... the way he was barking at Cena makes him a great lieutenant and Rowan in that mask is like a more twisted version of Kane, using the lamb mask to taunt the fans and opponents...
Bray himself as a gimmick probably DOES have a shelf life, but the wrestler himself has already shown more than enough talent to roll with that and evolve. Windham Rotunda has perhaps some of the best "natural ability" and grounding of any new talent since The Rock... 2 generations before him, all big names, all with big time experience of the E and working gimmicks there. BlackJack Mulligan was known for being a great talker, Uncle Barry was one of the best "total packages" and has clearly passed on the "too much too young" experience and his father was one of the better workers of his generation but known for making gimmicks work, however ridiculous they may be.
Those looking for Bray to fail are making a big mistake... because IF he fails, then there will be no more creativity encouraged, no more "creating a gimmick yourself", just the cookie cutter stuff Vince, Trips and the writers vomit out... make mo mistake, Bray in an invention of the man who portrays him and it is the first time in MANY years the WWE has gotten behind such an endeavour so wholeheartedly... even down to the spiderwalk, the guy is gold... but he won't "carry the company"... as Bret would say..."He's the guy who works with the guy"...
