Hell in a Cell- World Heavyweight Championship- Mark Henry (c) vs. Randy Orton

S.J. Maximus

Championship Contender
This has just been announced on RAW but I'm pretty sure we all knew it was coming. What are your thoughts? What are your predictions? I'm basically hoping that they right the wrong they made when they put the world title on Mark Henry. I can't respect anyone who actually thinks Henry is world champ material, Matt Hardy (a lifetime midcarder) is better than Henry will ever be so I was furious when they gave him the win. Hopefully Orton can win and retain his abnormally good record in HiaC matches (3-1)

EDIT: I have no idea why I typed in Money in the Bank I meant Hell in a Cell. I guess I just substituted one 4-word match type with another subconciously

we all make mistakes. lol

On topic~~ Mark Henry will defeat RKO at HiaC. I say this because Henry is getting major heat and a major build i hope to the heavens that they dont let his rain last 2 weeks. I have just decided to buy this ppv, and i normally only buy the Rumble, BFG, and Mania. So the two major titles matches should be nice bouts.

Yes "right the wrong" in your words, by giving the title back to Orton after dropping it at the previous ppv, continuing the the hot potato game they are playing with the world titles right now. I personally hope that they keep the title on Henry for at least a few months, they have been building him up this long, why stop now? And I guess you have no respect for me because I was ecstatic when Henry won the WHC, I'm tired of seeing Blandy Boreton's same shtick week in and week out, he needs to stay out of the title picture for a while. While Henry, the man is a freaking monster right now, I loved the view of women and children in the audience at NOC looking like they were on the verge of crying, priceless!

Henry cant lose the title. Just for the simple fact that would be the 4th different WHC in like 3 1/2 months. I know guys dont really have long reigns anymore. But they have been switching the WWE title and WHC title too often lately.

They have been spent a lot of time building Henry up for a couple of months now. I dont think he is dropping the title in 2 weeks.

Their are a couple of ways they can do this. They can have someone interfere during the match. Which veers Orton off into another feud. Or they can have Henry beat Orton in HITC. Then down the road like at SS they can have Orton finally beat Henry.

IM A MONSTER RKO FAN BUT THEY GOTTA KEEP THAT TITLE ON HENRY! WITH THE HEAT THAT HE'S GETTING, THEY'D BE STUPID TO TAKE IT OFF EM. WWE NEED A GOOD HEEL CHAMPION FOR A WHILE TO BUILD UP FACES AND MAKE HENRY'S TITLE REIGN MORE MEANINGFUL ESPECIALLY IF THIS HAPPENS TO BE HIS ONLY ONE. RKO IS GONNA LOSE AT HIAC AND THEN SHEAMUS IS GONNA BE NO 1 CONTENDER. IT ONLY MAKES SENSE SINCE HIM AND MARK DIDNT REALLY PUT AN END TO THE FUED.

I see Henry retaining the title at HIAC, then after the match, the lights go out... You know the rest. Taker returns.. Blah, blah, blah, sets up a title match at Vengeance where Taker gets the belt from Henry.

Orton doesn't need the belt back for a while, maybe at Survivor Series, or the Rumble. But this is just another way for the WWE to end up taking Henry's words and using them against him again. "There is no man that can beat me" Well we don't need a man to beat you, we will get the Deadman to beat you. The Undertaker saves the day from Mark Henry. And gets one last run before his inevitable match at Wrestlemania where he will go 20-0 and retire.

I would love for Henry to retain; that was a great segment on Raw tonight and now I may even start watching Smackdown to see what else he does. At the same time, I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see Orton get it back so quickly.

what I wanna know is this... during the first Nexus attack last year Daniel Bryan grabbed an announcers tie and used it to choke him, this was during all of the other chaos that was happening and wasn't even the focus of the angle, and for this he was fired. Tonight Mark Henry grabbed J.R.s tie and used it to choke him while telling him to "beg for his life", and this was the MAIN focus of the angle, so I wonder, will Henry be fired? I doubt it, but it would only be fair if he was.

Now, on to Hell in a Cell... as much as I'm not too big on Henry (this is about the thousandth time that I remember him being pushed as a "monster" heel and it always ends with him getting injured) I really am tired of Orton being in the title picture, so I do think that Henry should win, especially since they had him win clean at Night of Champions...

Why would Orton possibly want to invoke his rematch in Hell in a Cell? its not to keep interference out, Henry won on his own. Its not to keep Henry from running away, it took the entire roster just to pull Henry off of him, and they still couldn't keep Henry off of him for long. all of the normal reasons to put two guys in the Cell don't apply, so why are they going to have it in a Cell? Just one more reason why having a "Hell in a Cell" themed PPV is just plain fucking stupid.

Mark Henry will definitely win at the Hell in a Cell. I'm pretty sure of it. And if Randy Orton can't stop Mark Henry, then no one else in the current SmackDown Roster can. Unless it is a triple threat or a fatal-4 way, or if Henry stays champ until Elimination Chamber, I can't see anybody getting that big gold except if Kane, Big Show, or Undertaker comes back early.

Yeah I Don't respect people who don't think henry deserved the title. He's a monster and he does good in the ring for a man his size. wwe had him beat orton clean so I see him retaining and having a long run because they're gonna need to put someone over him eventually. I honestly don't wanna see him feud with taker though because taker is old and I'd actually find it more belivable if henry destroyed him too. But I'll be honest I hope henry doesnt get injured but his legs dont look like they're in great shape and he's also pretty old. The only people I could believe may beat henry would be cena and maybe shamus if he keeps up what he's doing and still thats a long shot. They've built him to the point where they've got me believing he really is unstoppable especially with that clean orton win

I see Henry winning. Maybe a Worlds Strongest Slam through the side of the cell? Or Henry tearing off the lock (if he can do it. He is 1-1 on locks by the way). All setting up to a win where Kane and/or Show make their returns setting up for Triple Threat at Vengeance?

I have nver liked mark henry and probably never will but damn he DID deserve his win at night of champions.

I am not sure anout the quality of this match but hopefully like randy orton vs sheamus last year can have a better match in the cell than their past bland single matches. I think that mark henry will win since giving him a two week reign will put an end too his monster push (even though if he did loode it I would laugh my ass off at the IWC reaction:lmao:). ets hope they can pull out a great match at least.

Whilst far from ever being a favourite wrestler of mine I am glad Mark Henry has become World Champion and given his size and strength..feel he makes a legit Heavyweight Champion. The Hell in a Cell match should be good (well as good as Hell in a Cell can be these days). Maybe it's a chance for Kane to return as a monster like on his debut...and get revenge on Mark Henry. I hope Henry comes out of it all with the gold because it's nice to see a new Champion and the belt has changed hands a lot as of late..give sombody a longish run.

Kane vs Henry at Survivor Series could set up the return of The Undertaker..21 years after his debut.

I think Henry will win and start a feud with Ezekiel Jackson. WWE's been wanting to test Zeke in the main event for quite sometime, and even though Zeke wouldn't win the feud or title during said feud, it would be a great way to see if he's ready for that kind of push. Not to mention, it would add to the list of strong opponents that he's destroyed and make him look even better.

I'm basically hoping that they right the wrong they made when they put the world title on Mark Henry.
How was it wrong? Henry's booking the previous months was tremendous. People are legitimately believing the idea that he's unstoppable. They're giving the title to a hot commodity right now. The audience legitimately reacts to him. I'm gonna give Henry his props by saying that he has done a good job in performing, particularly this previous months up to now, but this is the difference when management is behind a wrestler: They're built up properly. Proper booking of a contender is the biggest factor on whether he would be accepted as a champion or not when he eventually wins the big one.

The WWE has done nothing wrong here. They built up Henry for months to the point that it gave new life to his career. The people's interest with his character was aroused proven by the reactions he receive on shows. Hell, I'm one of those people. I'm far from being a Henry fan but with his recent build up and management following that up with a clean title win, I'm finding him and his current program with Randy to be quite interesting.

As for who wins at HiAC:
Honestly, I thought that Henry wouldn't win the title at NOC because I was expecting a DQ finish and that Henry would win it at this ppv but hey I'm glad to be wrong in this case.

I'm favoring a Henry win primarily because I want Orton to beat him at Survivor Series(A Big4 PPV)just to show how big of a win it is over this current version of Mark Henry and also I don't wanna see the title get passed around so often.

I like Henry as I also like Orton and as much as I want Orton to win this I hope Henry does. I mean as of right now with the hot potato action going on with the WWE titles anything is possible. Remember Christian had a whole 5 or 6 day reign as WHC, so seeing Mark Henry lose here wouldn't be surprising. I also don't understand why they would have him lose if they had him destroy everyone he came into contact with. Well I do as Orton and Cena seem to be in a race to break the 16 time world championship record by Ric Flair WOOO!

So I hope Henry wins this match and he takes out Orton for a few weeks and then Orton comes back for Vengeance. But, I also have this feeling that Henry will lose and that Orton will win causing Henry to seek his Vengeance.

My Prediction Orton Wins.
I want Henry to win.

I think it's a match that suits Henry's power game and should allow him to hit some big moves and show how dominant he can be, which I think is vital if we as an audience are to forget 'sexual chocolate' and focus on this monster heel he has become.

As for a prediction, I hope that Mark retains and creative don't panic and put the belt back on Orton. Henry can win at HIaC without Orton having to drop out of the title picture with triple-threat/fatal fourways involving Christian and Sheamus viable possibilities to go with up until Survivor Series/TLC.

Match-wise, I'm expecting a nice, big brawl to contrast the triple-threat match which I expect to be a smoother match. Henry on the winning end of a tough brawl to gain some legitimacy, and lead into some interesting scenarios in the WHC title picture.

Henry is going to win this one by pinfall. I don't see any reason in giving the title to Orton again and I actually like seeing Mark Henrry as champion. However, I could possibly see after this match an appearance of Daniel Bryan possibly teasing a cash in. I think we'll see some cool spots from Henery as I feel he can use the match stipulation in order to do some real damage to Orton. I feel somehow the finish will involve the ring steps. Possibly a WSS on top of them.

I hope Henry wins; it doesn't make a ton of sense to build up this monster, have him win the title, then drop it two weeks later in a match where he should theoretically dominate even more.

I think we're in for a decent title run for Henry. I could see him dropping the belt at TLC at the earliest.

I literally have zero interest in seeing Orton as champion and negative values interest in watching the WWE play hot potato with the world title. Henry has had the best last few months of his career and for him to lose the title now would hurt his credibility and derail his momentum especially after he just defeated Orton clean. I'm pulling for a Henry victory and him moving on to feud with Sheamus for the title.

As much as I love Randy, I don't want to see him win this weekend because frankly it just does not make sense. Mark probably won't get another title reign in the time he has left before he retires, and Randy can win it then but MH has been doing phenominal job since his push and has certainly kept it up since he became champion. Henry will win in Hell and then hopefully we get Sheamus involved in the chase for the title because I really enjoyed Henry vs Sheamus at SummerSlam. So my prediction is Mark Henry Wins!

After RAW and Smackdown! this week I suspect Mark Henry will retain the title in a non-clean fashion. What I suspect will happen is Rhodes runs in and some how costs Orton the match leading a feud between the two.

This could either lead to (a) Orton going back in the Title Hunt by Royal Rumble or TLC or (b) Bryan cashes in his MITB and wins the title and leads a WM main event between Orton and Bryan.

I think Mark Henry is goin to win. He's been on a career altering roll right now and I just don't see Orton going over on this one. I think the win is gonna be clean and although I think it's gonna be a great match. Mark Henry will pull it out at the end.

I think Mark Henry will retain at HIAC and, personally, I think it's the call that WWE should make. Not only has Mark Henry gotten better over the course of this summer but he's actually gotten quite damn good. He's excelled in the role that he has and has just flat out delivered on every front.

Last week's episode of SD! drew the largest audience it's had since coming to Syfy almost a year ago and the only thing that'd happened of huge significance at the previous ppv was Mark Henry winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Mark Henry winning the title, I believe, had a positive influence on the numbers for last week's show. Again, Henry is doing a great job and people are buying into what he's selling. Putting the title back on Orton, so soon especially, would be a mistake.

Henry's title win at Night Of Champions still feels like a shock for me, because I never thought it would happen. I really have enjoyed Mark Henry's big push this year. He has had a fantastic run as the monster heel, who wants to destroy everything in his path. Nobody thought the big man could win the big one, but Mark proved all of his doubters wrong, and I think Henry will retain the WHC here. Henry's path to the gold has required a lot of time and effort, and it would be a shame if WWE decided to take the strap off of Henry so quickly. His title reign is only a few weeks old, and live crowds are reacting to Henry, so he should have his chance at a title run.
