Hell in a Cell- World Heavyweight Championship- Mark Henry (c) vs. Randy Orton

A very tough one to predict here, If Orton can use the cell to his advantage he has a very good chance of winning, but we've seen how dangerous Henry is when surrounded by steel. I honestly think that Henry will win, but after the match we will get a run in from Kane and Big Show to seek payback leading to a 4 way match at Vengence. Or maybe Kane and Big Show will run in during the match to give Orton the win. But i can see the former happening.

This will be a back and forth match, less one sided than at NOC, Orton will come close but Henry will have too much for the viper.

Winner - Henry via Pinfall

The odds are in Henry's favor here. I am hoping Orton wins though. Normally I hate when titles swap back and forth in PPV matches and rematches. This is one of the few times that I am in favor of it because Henry sucks as champion. No matter how much they have him dominate, he is still a joke to me and he generally has bad matches too. Orton will win this. He will then win the subsequent rematch and move on to feud with Rhodes. Henry goes back to being the World's Strongest Jobber. Oh, yeah. The match. Mark Henry is in it, so it will probably be the worst of the night other than the divas match.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
Randy Orton will win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Their match at Night Of Champions was, for me, one of the best matches of the night. Henry is pure power, but I'm failing to see why that's such a bad thing. Power wrestlers are unfairly criticised by the IWC. Henry has shown consistently since his push that he knows how to pace a match and make it feel epic. Hell, I even enjoyed his three minute match with Khali on Smackdown. Really. The Hell In A Cell stipulation only helps this match. It should bring out the vicious tendencies of both men and really let their anger problems shine.

As for the result, I'm going to go with a Henry victory. He's on a roll at the moment and I think it would be a shame to break that. Also, Smackdown did a great rating the week after NOC, so there isn't a glaring business factor to determine the outcome of the match. I think Henry will win and go on into a fatal 4-way at Vengeance with Orton, Sheamus and Christian where he'll drop the title under "unfair" conditions. But I really wouldn't be surprised to see him hold on for longer. WWE have hit gold with Henry, and I think they know that.

This should be a great match. The had a really good Monster vs Face match at NOC, in a cell it amplifies everything. I expect Henry to brutally beat Orton.

This is all really a way to elevate Sheamus. Henry really never beat Sheamus, Henry destroys Orton (not in a BURIED sense like you guys will type) twice, once in a cell and Sheamus beats him? It will get him super over. He's already very over as a face but beating Henry would put him "up there".

I'm looking foreward to a very fun match.

Why? Because it's not fast paced with MOOOVEZ?!?!? You don't understand pro wrestling. Mark Henry pulls of his character and style better than pretty much anyone and their match at NOC was textbook. "still a joke to ME". Well shit man, YOUR opinion matters so damn much. Why don't you think outside your own simple little brain and try learning a bit? What is really going on here and why is Henry over? Why is the crowd into the Orton vs Henry match? Why? Instead of "lulz I think it sucks so it does".

I can't imagine the kind of uproar that will occur if Randy Orton wins. Personally, I couldn't defend a win for Randy Orton. Mark Henry is super over right now. Aguably, Henry has more momentum then anyone not only on the Smackdown roster but the entire WWE active roster. He shouldn't lose here. More than likely, Henry will win, Orton will go on to feud with Cody Rhodes and Henry will go on to bigger, better things as Champion. This match may not be the best on the card but I am damn sure looking forward to it. I've got Henry winning mostly because it wouldn't make too much sense if he lost the World Championship. Randy doesn't need the title to stay relevant and he can damn sure rub some of the less over talent on Smackdown without wearing the World Title belt.

Hamler's Prediction - Mark Henry will retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Goodness, what I wouldn't give for a dominant Henry squash. It makes all the sense in the world, to be honest, given that Orton is likely to be around for another decade, and Henry is on the way out soon.

Honestly, I think I see the Henry reign being used to build up whomever takes him out in the end...So a big win here goes with that.

Other possible outcomes are maybe an Undertaker appearance, or a Daniel Bryan heel turn.

Mark Henry has done a great job carrying himself in the ring. He's doing the best with what he's got and his promos have been a nice change of pace. The big man is def making something out of this monster push and the 15 year wait was almost worth it. He's doing a great job destroying everyone in his path and Orton will have his work cut out for him, even after hitting the RKO on Friday Night SmackDown!

That said, Orton has looked beatable lately thanks to Henry, and to some degree, he needs to so he doesn't end up like Super Cena. Nobody wants another version of that. Orton makes people look better in the ring. Cena, not so much, but Orton is a good chaser, and I hope after this, he helps elevate Rhodes or Barrett for a bit before getting back into the title scene.

This won't be a 5 star match, but I think both guys will deliver to the best of their abilites inside the Devil's Playground!

You know people keep talking about a possibility of The Undertaker returning @ HIAC to send a message to Mark Henry. And that would send the fans home happy after Orton loses, but what if Taker didnt return alone?

What if, as was reported about a year or two ago, we got ONE last run of The Brothers of Destruction?!

This is the first time in a long time both Kane and Undertaker havent been around and you could easily have both come back with a new look to tag one last time before Taker hangs it up. I recall a few reports, one on WZ as well, that said Kane or Taker wanted to tag with each other one final time before retirement. Whether that's a one time thing, a run while having a singles run or even a tag title run one last time, I dont care, it would be nice either way to see BOD one more time.

Since Kane would want Vengeance on Henry I dont see why not have a match @ Vengeance with Kane and Taker in a 2 on 1 Handicap Match or something. Maybe have Show return later. I dont see he and Kane tagging again.

It's just a thought anyway.

maybe a Fatal Fourway between Kane, Taker, Show and Mark @ Vengeance or some big goliath Tag @ SS

Taker, Kane, Show, Sheamus & Ezekiel vs Mark, Barrett, Mason Ryan, Khali and maybe a returning Sheffield?

wait what!? mark henry is way better then matt hardy. he is way better then fucking randy orton. hopefully mark henry once again cleans house. if he loses the title there had better be a huge ass riot. the match should be good. mark henry in a hell in a cell match cant not be good. it should be nice and violent and a overall great match to watch.

Why? Because it's not fast paced with MOOOVEZ?!?!?

I like high flyers and am generally bored by bigger guys. There I said. Happy now? Believe it or not, there are some bigger guys who have decent matches and can make me care about the matches by giving great promos. The way Mark Henry has been booked cannot be undone by squashing people for a couple of months. Not to all fans. I don't care that they gave him a world title reign. It changes nothing. He still sucks.

You don't understand pro wrestling.

Yes I do. Pay extra attention to the part in bold.

People portrayed as characters the fans are meant to like called faces get in the ring with people the fans are meant to dislike called heels to put on a match with a predetermined result as part of a show. The fans are allowed to root for whoever they want though, and if the fans do not like someone who is getting pushed then they have a right to that opinion. Fans disagree on too many stupid details like this. We all deserve to be able to like whoever and whatever we want. This is the part that even some fans themselves don't seem to get. The wrestling federations take the fan reactions into consideration when deciding who to push or not. If someone gets good reactions and makes them more money, he gets pushed. If not, a push stops.

Look dude, people disagree on things. That's what debating is for. However, if you dislike my posts that much, no one is forcing you to read them. Either discuss and debate with me like an adult, or ignore my posts. It's actually quite simple but it seems you are unable to grasp that concept. I enjoy seeing what others think and discussing these things with them, but once personal attacks are made, that is where I draw the line.

I post things that are MY opinion. That is the whole point of the non-spam sections. To share what YOU think about a particular topic. I make monthly PPV predictions for both WWE and TNA, while also hitting several non-spam threads that contain topics I am interested in sharing what I think about that with everyone. When I don't like someone else's post, I strike up a debate, and for the few people that I dislike on here, I just ignore their posts.

As for you thinking Henry does such a good job with his character, you are entitled to that opinion just as I am entitled to mine. I think he sucks and someone like Zeke coild have used this push more. I rarely enjoy a Henry match and I doubt I will like tonight's either because he does next to nothing to make me care about him or his matches. He got pushed. Great. He got a title reign. Good for him, I still dislike his matches. If the match will be good or not depends on Orton due to him being capable of having matches that are above average.

Henry has been billed as a sleeping giant turned juggernaut...

But the best way to use him now is as unbeatable, and only a madman would go against him because of he wins, he'll destroy your career...

At some point he's going to lose, and be wished well on his future endeavors. Maybe tonight, but I think having him in control of the Heavyweight Championship could bring a lot of good. First of all, if no one wants to fight for that championship, because people fear him, then they look to retire it or make a battle of champions for it (which would combine brands) and once he loses it, he's fired... Best of luck on his future endeavors...

I don't really get your Henry hate. The last couple months he has easily been the best thing on Smackdown and one of the best things going in the WWE period. His push has been put together great, he has been very good on the mic, and even his matches have been good. His bouts with Sheamus and Orton the last couple months have been more then solid. Your hate seems to be based on Henry's history in the WWE. Could you honestly say that if this was some newer guy that was just as big as Henry and was getting the exact same push that you would hate it? If so then I'm just not sure what you're watching.

You nailed it in the part that is in bold. When I analyze a wrestler, I take their whole career into consideration. Henry was booked terribly for so many years, and now 2 months or so of domination is supposed to undo over a decade of being booked like a joke? Had it been just about anyone else, I'd buy it. As for newer guys, I would have really liked seeing one of them get this type of a push. I wouldn't hate it. I actually WANT to see pushes like this, just not on someone like Henry. Zeke in particular would have really benefitted from it and he could have gotten over huge as the monster they wanted him to be, and unlike Henry he could be around for quite a while.

As for the match itself, I got the prediction wrong. That's not the end of the world though. I went into the match not expecting anything to write home about because WWE were unable to make me care about another Henry world title match. Perhaps for the next PPV things will be different. The match itself was a far cry from a show stealer, but it was not the worst of the night either.

Zeke had the IC Title to try to get him over huge. They had him feud with a guy who made Cena's life heel to try to get him over huge. Both of those didn't work out so I don't see how putting him in Henry's position would have gotten him over huge.

I'm glad Henry retained. I see him restarting his feud with Sheamus leading to hopefully a singles match at Vengeance but part of me fears that Orton will be added to the match. I would like to see a Orton/Rhodes IC match for a nice change of pace. Keep doing what you're doing, Henry.

Goddamnit, my point isn't that people don't have different opinions, that's obvious, my point is that to be so blind to think that YOUR opinion should determine how people get pushed is dumb. Mark henry is OVER and does the things that get you OVER like staying in character. Zeke doesn't . If Zeke were given the exact same push, he wouldn't be over. Much like how cody rhodes is more over than Morrison despite Morrison given more chances. Morrison sucks at what gets someone over (and isn't over) and Rhodes is amazing at them (and is over).

My favorite wrestler is Daniel bryan. Like ever. He's the only guy I've traveled hundreds of miles in a day just to see. However, I'm not arrogant (or stupid) enough to think that he should be pushed to the moon.

Do you get my argument now? It's not that you aren't entitled to your opinion, it's that you don't look outside your own box of "I like this guy he should be pushed" and instead think "this guy isn't over, this guy is, I wonder why?" there are no conspiracies, there isn't a bias towards high flyers or for big men, it's just who is over and who does their job well. Mark is over and stays in character and everything he does makes sense. Zeke looks like a goofy confused fuck for most of his match. It's why Mark is over and Zeke really isn't. You have to look beyond your own perferences to really understand what's going on.
