Night of Champions - WHC Title - Randy Orton (c) vs. Mark Henry

I can honestly see this being the night of upsets. I have a feeling Henry is going to go over and hold the belt for a short while before being "injured" and retiring with a nice fat pay off (good lord the guy has earned the right to go out on top). Leave belt vacant, hold tournament.
It's a real puzzler wondering who Orton or Henry's next opponents might be. Henry went through most of the rosta rather quickly so perhaps the big show. Shemus is face as is Orton so I doubt that will happen (Christian Vs Shemus for #1 contender?).
If my dreams were reality then Orton Vs Jericho would be utterly sublime right now. Orton punted Jericho out of the WWE so it would be fitting that he would be the first feud back.

edit:
If we get the version of Orton who has developed alongside a fine beard, then it shall be passable.
imagine what he and his mighty facial hair could accomplish if he shaved the beard and left himself with a glorious pornstash....

The brawl these two had last Friday is exactly what was needed to make me buy into this feud once again. I love the way Mark Henry is finally carrying himself as a future World Champion. Before, we never saw the ambition from Mark Henry to actually be a champion. His heel run has been great. Randy Orton has been even greater as of late freshly coming off of a phenomenal feud with Christian. This may not be the best match but I surely can't wait to see it. Many people say Henry is deserving of a World Title reign and I agree to an extent. If someone comes into the WWE and did what Henry has done then they rightfully deserve a reign. However, I read a lot of posts that state how hard he's worked over the years and how loyal he was and whatnot. Mark Henry shouldn't get a Title reign based on his 15 years in the WWE (because he hasn't done shit), rather get a World Championship reign because of how great he's been the last few months. Maybe a reign will come, but Randy Orton's not giving up the belt this Sunday. I see Henry dominating the entire match only to make a mistake getting RKO'd in the process.

Hamler's Prediction - Randy Orton will retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

I thought their cutting edge segment last night was excellent. It definately added more hype to their match. It also took their feud to another level. After seeing that I definately looking forward to this match even more.

I've been saying this for Henry's entire world title push and I will say it again. This was all just for Henry to get built up only to be squashed like an insect by Orton once it reaches the world title's level. They do it all the time. Random heels get pushes as monsters, are fed to a face champion, and then go back to doing nothing. Here we are, the night before the match. Henry will go back to being The World's Strongest Jobber, and Orton moves on to his next challenger, probably Rhodes. The match will probably be pretty bad. I have honestly little to no desire to see it. Mark Henry in a world title match. Enough said. As much as I like Randy Orton, I'll be heading to the fridge to grab a hot pocket and a bottle of water during this one. I hope it does not main event. Cena/Alberto and even Trips/Punk are better picks to close the show. If Henry wins, I will take back what I said about him as not being World Championship material, but I am 99.9% convinced he is going to lose.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
Randy Orton will retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

I agree...some monster heels are built up only to lose to the champion. It creates doubt and makes the babyface champ look vulnerable. But they usually find a way to beat them. Michaels vs Vader is a great example. Henry didn't even beat Sheamus clean. He is not Brock Lesnar. I would be surprised if Henry actually wins.

Edge gave Henry the "You'll never win the big one"-speech.

In the past that has always been an indication that the big one was indeed about to be won. No exceptions.

I do think it's possible this one ends in a DQ though, or something, and the "actual" match comes next month, but make no mistake about it, Henry is going to have a run with the gold soon.

And while I never was a fan of his, I freely admit that they have done an incredible job of turning Mr. Potatohead into a viable threat and I don't think his run would in any form devalue the belt. In fact it would be a welcome change from Ortonmania.
