D-Man and I had dinner last night (double date with the respective women in our lives), and we discussed you two. Basically just saying how awesome you both are and how you've both become two of our favorite posters, especially in MMA. We were selling the forums to a buddy from my gym who is a martial arts instructor.

Wow... to be a topic of conversation during a double date, that's pretty amazing. Surely there are much better things to talk about than not just the forums, but me specifically.

Also, the next time you talk to your friend, ask him what a reasonable price would be for a monthly membership at an MMA gym. I've been looking at doing some training, but some of the prices I've seen are ridiculous.

I would love to see one, even if they would let me run a mini hip hop tournament on the side of a regular one.

Guy and Indy are also very solid posters. I"m thinking I should travel over to the MMA section again. I started posting there awhile back when JMT and Marquis were dominating the section.

It was a well-deserved, well-overdue conversation.

We discussed how big of a fan of GuyCompton's that I've become. Solid poster is just every way. I love guys that can post interesting subjects, using good grammar and ideas, can be hilarious with other posts (in the Bar Room, LD's, etc), and does their part to help out the forums (Live Discussions). Very good shit from a great person.

We also discussed the metamorphosis that the MMA section has gone through over the past year. Guys like jmt225 and IndyJon have really taken the section by the reigns and made it more than we ever could have imagined. They are experts on the subject and drive incredible amounts of discussion.

Just well-deserved praise, all-around.

I completely agree with you D-man, while I may tend to disagree with body Indy and Guy on specific subjects, I also tend to enjoy reading their point of views on specific threads.

And I have to admit I wish I had more knowledge on MMA, because I would've loved to step into the Boxing vs MMA thread and defend my own love for Boxing (which probably only outlasts my love for MMA because I know zero about it, so I can't properly document my reasons to consider it better, because I cannot guarantee I would consider it better after some time myself )

You should post in mma more D-Man. If you feel like you aren't knowledgeable enough, make it up. I want to try and get every mod to post there at least once in a while and show it some attention. It is awesome though that it's way more active now than it used to be when I lurked.

I did, friend. Actually, I used to post in there quite a bit. But the section's gotten so good that it's WAYYY past my knowledge level now. And that's the way it should be.
