Go Green Ranger Go! Official HGR Thread

Did you paint that Flair pic and create the Triple H one or buy them? Either way lets see em

Have you heard of Rob Shamberger? He's the artist that's on a quest to paint every World Champion in US wrestling history. He got a giant kickstarter funded, and has gotten huge exposure from WWE and TNA guys?

Anyways, I gave his kickstarter $100 last year. In return he painted me a pretty sweet picture of one of my personal favorite legends, Triple H. And he sent every order over a certain amount an air brushed image of Ric Flair. They're pretty damn good. WE've covered his stuff on Wrestlezone a few times.

I don't have pics on me; not at home.

I like his style. It's off the wall and pretty unique. I'm glad so many wrestlers have taken to his work. Such an awesome undertaking. Probably going to take him several years to get this stuff done.

Raw was pretty ho-hum tonight. I wish I could've fallen asleep though. Fucking night shift Mondays man. I love 'em (easier workload), but at the same time I hate them (incredibly boring). However it gives me a good time to work on The Beard, my BT, review BT (which I threw one your way my friend), grade WZPC, and do whatever other things I push off.

Those paintings are fucking great. That's legit talent. I wish I could be one tenth that artistic.

I slept through the first 2 and a half hours. I woke up in time to catch the Del Rio/Tensai match, and the rest of the show. Personal favorite moment, 3MB out with all the main event guys saying they would win the Rumble. Man I love those guys.

I actually have a 12 x 18 print from Shamberger. My friend got it for me a little while back after he dropped $500 on a Brock Lesnar painting. Most of his stuff is pretty good.

I lost my shit when PTP came out. I heard Titus' whistle and I was like "no...no...YES!!!!" Then my heart was broken when Randy Orton came out with all his charisma and pooped on my PTP mic time.

I used to hate the PTPs but they are growing on me. Honestly I think it was AW getting fired that did it. I hated him doing commentary over their matches. I think that added with them taking a more comedic approach has really pushed them up my list.

I hate AW, that guy just irks me. He almost ruined the PTP for me, but I stayed the course and thankfully he is long gone. I'm hoping for a face turn in the future as I think they can take off as faces. Even with the whistle and flag thing, I think Titus can work that against heels. Plus I think they have a better chance of winning the straps as a face team than a heel team. Rhodes Scholars seem to have that spot locked up.

Who is in charge of the WZ Facebook page? I'd like to tell them thank you for giving me a laugh after this.
Comment WZ reader Joe Weeks on a post on this page on Sunday (before the Rumble)

"If Cena wins the Rumble and The Rock beats Punk, I'm going to smash my TV."

.... just saying. If you say something on the internet, you must back it up (and provide evidence...)

Anyone have any albums that are really, really fucking good when you're high?

I've got a terrible headache, and have had it all day. As I don't take over the counter medication, and I'm trying not to drink soda, I figured I may as well light up and listen to music before bed.

I now understand why Dark Side of the Moon is super praised by everyone. When you're high, that album makes your brain tell stories in your head man. Something like the trippy seen in Marry Poppins where they jump into the sidewalk pictures. Except none of it makes any sense.

Also...holy bawls...Octivarium. x.x

Hey, Yazzie, why don't you go ahead and add me on FB? Do a brony a favor. Also, HGR, I suggest anything by Sarah McLachlan or Tori Amos when you're stoned. Their beautiful voices become even more so.

Brief thoughts while listening to a "today's hits" pop music channel on Pandora...

Pink: As far as pop music goes, she's pretty fun. Definitely paid her dues as a teen pop star, and was one of the few who kept going with it.

The Script: Super cheese.

Maroon 5: I swear, I listened to them in high school, and they didn't suck this much.

WILL.I.AM & Brittany: No thanks. Skip.

Lady Gaga: Finally... You wanna talk pop stars that are actual, classically trained musicians? Gaga, bitches.

Ed Sheeran: I don't know who you are, but you started off chill and pretty cool, and then just got really boring after about 4 minutes.

Demi Lovata: First experience. Definitely not a Lovatic. The vanilla of generic pop music. That's actually a disservice to vanilla, as a flavor. Did a quick Wiki search; she wrote about 4% of that album. Sounds about right.

Fun.: No matter how over-played "We Are Young" is by this point, I still enjoy it.

Pitbull: Why are you famous?

Carlie Rae: I don't know who you are, but "Call Me Maybe" is so stupidly catchy. I can't not like it, on account of its supreme poppy nature.

Taylor Swift: Hey look, your whining about a boy again. Respect for the slight bass drop in one of your songs. Super catchy pop music. Can't fault her for making shit tons of money.

Katy Perry: Speaking of super catchy pop music...

Doing a Disney marathon this week. Have some time off while I wait for a new job to start and hours to be re-divided with Wrestlezone.

Watching Aladdin right now.

Anybody interested?

Got an email from Ringside Collectibles, thanking me for posting about them, by sending me awesome action figures. I'll take it.

Also, what should my next sig be?

Moving my monitor last night resulting in getting an inch-long splinter jammed into the cuticle of my pinkie finger. I spend about 20 minutes trying to dig it out; not sure I got all of it. Stupid how painful that was.

I am now trying to type without using that finger, and it's really annoying. I may just stop using proper punctuation for the time being.

I hate you. I have too many action figures though. It is a borderline obsession. I have that complete set with the GITD Y2J and AE Christian. Plus I have the next set already ordered.

I may need to seek professional help.

Now watching WWE Vengeance 2006, en route to continuing my ECW reviews. On paper, this looks like a really good PPV, but I can't actually remember if it was worth watching or not.

I was there. Amazing how a few years can really take the steam out of a "DX" reunion.

"Corporate genitalia bouncing around" - Vince McMahon to who I can only assume is a Make-a-Wish kid, before sending his wheelchair crashing into the hallway.

Oh god, I love wrestling.

Also, 8 freaking German suplexes from Kurt Angle to Randy Orton. Damn.

Which is immediately followed by Umaga beating the holy hell out of Eugene, Doink the Clown, and Hackswag Jim Duggan. This PPV has "Be a Star" implications written all over it.
