Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Megaman: Doc, you know he's a glass cannon; incredibly frail, but possessing unreal offensive output potential in very little time.

Humans vs Super: I feel like the default of adding "robotics" to the human pool is just lopsided. You have many characters who just hold guns going against characters with nano-suits, hyper-dimensional computing tools, and other such nonsense. However, I think the bigger issue with this is character choice. Perhaps a bit more time spent analyzing the choices and screening out to get everyone to a close power lever is needed next time.

Punisher: Sorry, I stick with the true characterization of these people. Goku doesn't open up with IT->Kamehameha, and Punisher doens't just shoot someone in the head. Even being told it's a tournament or that he has to, it just doesn't fit the profile. The point of these things is a true "who would win", right? I don't believe discarding the parts of a personality that doesn't fit with the outcome one would like to see is doing the tournament any favors.

Gadget: His accidents work in his favor too, you know.

Pretty much this. The two posts I made (Joker vs Buffy, Vega vs The Doctor) were extremely easy choices as I saw them.

I think that's just something we kind of have to deal with. We try to do a bunch of research all around when putting together the lists, but even then there will be blips, and the "lopsided" matchups do force people to think laterally, or at least we hope so.

And now, Jose, I await your counterargument in Kirby/Kenshiro. I know you won't let me down.

I wanted a real argument, and Doc you were the first to provide it just as I thought it was done. Challenge accepted; forgive me if I wait till I sober up to dance.

I think its Ty.

Its looking like I'll go 1-1 in Yahoo leagues. The Wonderbolts are looking good unless Eric Decker has a monster2nd half, but Dwayne Bowe Dash isn't looking good.

In the Yahoo league, the SeaCrocks (who were projected as the worst team in the league due to autodraft) look like they're in position to win. I still have McFadden and the Steelers D and I'm down 18 points -- looking good.

In the ESPN league, I'm beating LJL by 4, but I doubt I'll win. It boils down to what McGahee can give me in the second half and what he'll get from Green-Ellis tomorrow.

Right in my childhood

Why dont they just jump off? Nevermind. Im over-analyzing for nothing. Its just a picture and Im sleepy.

Its hard to be a Packers fan sometimes. Especially when they lose the first game of the season to a team I dislike. Oh, well. Next week they should improve on what was lacking here.

Goomba should have gotten in the right line. Chasing down Mario isn't great, but there is always a chance that he just jumps over you and avoids you. I also think being stomped on and disappearing would be a slightly better way to go than being chopped into geometric shapes by spinning razors.

That or they could have sent a thwomp through there first, effectively destroying the razors, and then they can live in peace, and not in pieces.

See what I did there?

I think I lost every single game I was in. Not a strong week for my fantasy teams, let's hope that turns around next week.

The Claymakers are shattering The Glass Curtain, & the Thor Losers are dropping the hammer down upon the Glassy Brassy, tell J how does it feel to get your ass kicked by the same guy in two different leagues?:D

Sadly Thriller has prevented me from going 3-0 in week 1, you could say he's punished my Punishers:(

I'll end up 1-2 this week. The Wonderbolts got a good win, but Dwayne Bowe Dash lost a close one. The Sonic Rainbooms got their ass roundly beaten though :(

Well for starters teach Finley how to hold onto the fucking ball, or just stop throwing to him, would also be nice if they take a little time & taught the defense how to play fucking defense. Hopefully they come out next feeling like they have to prove something, I really don't know if I can handle seeing my Pack start the season of 0-2, & this years Bears are more than talented enough to beat us if we're not careful.

Finley is a very good tight end but his hands are very iffy at times. He didn't really have issues with drops when he was at Texas. No clue where he picked it up.

The Bears had some issues early against Indy today, Cutler was dick to start the game 1 for ten with a pick six, but he got a lot better, as did the whole team. I think they picked Luck off three times.

I think they will come out focused and prepared. The defense needs to take a step back and remember how the Pack is supposed to play D. Times like these make me miss Reggie White. Chicago does look good this year, though. The next game will be a test on how well GB handles losing and learning from their mistakes.

I love that moment, but you have to admit- it took forever for the Pack to get another SB win until Favre came around. When he left and the team slowly started dismantling, I thought it would be just as long before we saw another title. Rodgers and company helped bring the title back for us and it was a great day. Especially to come into Jerry-World and win the big one on Cowboys soil against the Steelers. Sweet, sweet victory.

Playing like they played tonight isnt going to help get us there again unless they learn from their mistakes. If they keep playing like that we will get squashed before the playoffs.

I'm surprisingly okay with how poorly I did this week. Part of it is probably because of how little effort I put into drafting, but I'm also happy with the real life results. The Jets won, the 49ers won, and there was plenty of entertaining football to be played.

Oh, poor Packers fans having to wait 14 years between Super Bowl victories. What a damn fucking shame. Jets fans have been waiting nearly half a century for their next Super Bowl win, and the Browns have been waiting for, oh, I don't know, forever.

Quit whining you little girl, you have it good compared to most of the league.

Here I was armed to the teeth with arguments over why the Hood should not be in the Super Section only to find that it is some underwheliming, Johnny-come-lately to the name comic book character rather than the scheming, hypnotising but ultimately bungling master of disguise enemy of International Rescue.

Boo hiss!

He's hardly a Johnny-come-lately comic book character as he's been a big part of the Marvel Universe for a decade now, but I am sorry to disappoint. Maybe we'll get a Thunderbirds character in next year.
