Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Why is it that only Yazloz has been the only person to put up a half-decent argument for Spider-Man against Flash, yet it is a neck and neck in the voting?

Same thing is happening in the Marston/Bond thread. It's 60/40 in the voting, but only one post for Bond

Shepard is losing badly to Samus, and there hasn't been one post for Samus. Probably because there's no logical way she beats Shepard.

I already said he didn't have to kill him, just incapacitate him.

I was intending that question for Justin specifically.

Because he has to win the match. He doesn't need a better reason than that.

He does. This is Frank Castle. He does not kill innocents. He's crazy, he's angry, he's not very friendly, but he does live by his code for it is all he has.

I need a cigarette.

Let me light that for you, love.

*shrug* It's a little frustrating if you let it be.

It sucks that someone can win without having a single argument made in their favor. That's the major downside to these tournaments.

A better Samus post is coming soon-ish. Just wanted to get something up so it looks like we're TRYING to color in the lines.

Every time I drink too much I wonder the same thing. It's a lot of fun when you do it, but it's usually not worth the wasted next day.

Strangely, I was not all that drunk. I think I had a case of what is locally described as "hollow legs."

Perhaps all the more surprising is that sandwiching that drinking session was my participation and subsequent victory in two separate quizes, with combined winnings of four bottles of wine, bottles of port and whisky, a box of chocolates and a t-shirt.

Not a bad haul.

Oh come on. At least he's giving his honest reason. Also, please give me a reason why Castle would kill Gadget, please. And a valid one, not something like "He littered/jaywalked".

I know which is why I didn't blast that guy for it, & other than the post I made regarding it in here really have no plans of mentioning it again.

I think you're drastically underrating what Samus can do. I'm still on the fence in that match, I still need to take a look at both bio, then read the rest of the arguments before coming to a conclusion, but I am slightly leaning toward Samus (only because I know more about her though)

I won't give on on Marston but I'm not sure I can convince people, and Marston may have the best bio of all the characters.

Another one I'm on the fence about. At first look I thought Bond easily, he's a British spy, who's trained in various sorts of hand to hand combat, & weapons training, he's got a slew of little gadgets, & he looks pretty good for a guy is been killing baddies & bedding bitches for over 50 yrs. The I read some of the arguments for Marston & they actually made sense, so now I'm not sure who to vote for.

I was also on the fence for Buffy/Joker until JMT made that little comment at the end of one of this post saying the people voting for Joker were sexist, that instantly sent me voting for Joker. If I'm on the fence & see somebody say something stupid, or post a really shit argument, I'll instantly go a vote against who they're in favor of.

I know Faust vs. Afro Samurai isn't a big money matchup or anything but I was hoping for some arguments based on the bios at least. :(

I also think the new users don't realise that "Human" is a blanket term since "Normals" doesn't really work either.

They're also waaaay overpowering Mega Man, and this is coming from a hardcore Mega Man mark. He is incredibly fragile and could easily defeated by an Iron Man or a Samus or even Punisher on a good day.

I have to go to brunch this morning... which is suppose to start at kickoff... & is taking place at a relatively expensive restaurant.

I sometimes wonder what's wrong with people.

Brunch, on a Sunday, at 1 PM, during football season.

Why aren't there laws against this sort of thing?

Except when these fights start it's assumed that each combatant will be hostile to each other, and if Frank Castle is attacked, he's going to do whatever it takes to defend himself, even if it means killing some goofy half man, half machine with a helicopter in his head.

Worst yet, they don't have a reservation, so we'll likely be waiting for hours, hopefully the DuFranes go missing again. I suggested we do Sat, brunch but that got shot down.

Thank god the GB/SF game is a late afternoon game, otherwise I'd be really pissed.

For real. GB/SF is probably going to be the best game of the week. Not sure how/why that isn't (one of) the Monday night games.

That & there is always the possibility that Gadget incapacitates himself by roller skating, or flying into a wall or something. I don't think that any other character in the tourny gets in his own way more that Gadget.

Not at all! And I thought I did alright for myself when I went to a concert on the quad yesterday for about 10 minutes and walked out with a free t-shirt.

This is something straight out of one of those "watch the NFL on your phone!" commercials.

If only I had a phone capable of doing that...

I think my phone could do that, but I mean... why bother? Unless you're on a flawless wi-fi network the feed is going to be choppy and you're going to be watching a sport that's best on the big screen on a screen that fits in your hand. And you have to pay for that type of service.

No thank you, I'd rather just check up on the game periodically.

I'd weigh in, but I don't know who those people are. Or who half the guys in the tournament are.
