Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

The thing about watching a show that you know ends without finishing things is that you still get pissed when it ends. Dare I say, more pissed perhaps. Arrested Development was one. Then it was resurrected. I love that fucking show.

I started watching Todd and The Book of Pure Evil. Its good. Only 2 seasons so it wont kill all your time and is worth a watch.

And If you havent seen Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.... Go watch it now.

Speaking of old comedies, I watched the six episodes of Police Squad! yesterday and enjoyed seeing it all again that I am tempted to do it all again today and then go buy it.

There is so much I love about it.

I had a few good lulz at this.

I used to love that, and seeing some of the running gags reappear in the Naked Gun films (the stupidly close up gun fights, Frank's ridiculous physique in close up shots) made them even more of a treat.

There are so many running gags throughout the six episodes that it is unreal.

- "Cigarette?" Yes I know.
- Drebbin's rank changing all the time
- his boss always being at the crime scene before him
- Drebbin crashing into things with his car
- the cityscape changing regularly
- the repeated "Don't call me Shirley" type misunderstandings
- the special guest star dying in the opening credits
- the announcer announcing a different
- the ridiculously tall cop
- the midget cop
- Drebbin wiping his nose just before he attacks someone
- the shoe-shinner who knows EVERYTHING
- the mentioning of all the perps who have been put in jail in previous weeks
- the "freeze" frame at the end of each episode

Add in the sight and individual gags of each episode and it really is a chockablock 25 mins that requires several viewings. If you have not watched it recently, you should give it another run through. Well worth it.

As an aside, did you see A Touch of Cloth? It is very much a spiritual successor to Police Squad!

I haven't watched Police Squad in years but every gag there I do remember. I am not sure if its a running gag, but Drebin being bloodied up in a fight and two seconds later in the same scene looking immaculate.

I watched the first half an hour of a touch of cloth, I really wanted to see the whole of both episodes because I thought it looked great but wasn't able to. Does it live up?

That's how long it took for the people of Boston to go from happy to the most bitter hateful sick motherfuckers on Earth.

My multiple responses to this.

- Come on now, they're not Vancouver.
- Come on now, they're not Rangers fans.
- Don't kid yourself, they were always the most bitter, hateful, sick motherfuckers.

Seriously though, did they really do anything that bad?

They can't be any worse than the fucking assholes setting off fireworks all night near my apartment building. I hate Chicago.

That is an great gag in the fifth episode. Drebbin beats up two hoods without getting a finger laid on him, he bends down to lift his gun suddenly he is ruffled up and bleeding then after a cut away he is completely fine.

It is followed up quickly by a great "freeze" frame where Ed pours Frank a coffee that eventually falls out of his hand. The best "freeze" though is in the final episode where the set gradually falls to pieces around them

I really enjoyed it. I am sure that there were people who didn't due to the silliness.

I'll have to catch it next chance I get then.

I've actually had my RP done for about three days.

Haven't posted it in case Miko wants to change/add anything to our story.

Post away, way I am going its looking like your the only one thats going to get an RP done right now.

I'm very proud of my RP this week. I wasn't thrilled with my last outing, but I think I rebounded quite nicely with this one. It's got the perfect blend of Saboteur humor and talking about my feud and match. The TSA bits just kept on giving.

Yeah, that probably wasn't the best choice of acronym. Oh well.

Some of them were baaaaaad. Wishing the 'Hawks plane crashed on its way home? That's fucked up. But everybody has those asshats.

The majority? Nah. Select few were incredibly butthurt. Would've made Vancouver proud.

Your hatred of the Blackhawks is great. :) Too bad St. Louis was a disappointment again. ;) <3

At least you have the Cardinals.

So I have my friends PS3 ready, and my Capture card prepared to record. Tomarrow my friends and I are going to play Last of Us and do a Let's play for about 12-14 hours. My neck beard is already quaking in anticipation.
