She couldn't figure it out on her own? Hell, the lot of us probably figured it out between the ages of 8-10. I think I was in 3rd grade when the Pokemon craze hit my school, so that would have been when I was 8 or 9 years old, I think... I'm not sure, I was busy playing Pokemon while they were teaching math.
She was a cheerleader, does that explain anything?
No offense, but you don't really seem like the type of guy that hook up with a cheerleader
Someone stole my holographic Charizard. I still haven't gotten over that shit.
Played 1-3, but Red was always my favorite. Maybe it was the simplicity of only having 150 Pokemon. Maybe it was the fact that that game was the only one I got over even 100 Pokemon (including evolutions). Maybe. But that game was great.

The originals were actually really shitty, and really buggy too. Still have nothing but fond memories... except for the one time my save file corrupted when I had, like, 145 Pokemon.

I looked it up, and apparently you can get one for like 30 bucks. I'd like to one day, just for the novelty.
That's one card I never had.

Never got a Charizard. Though the first pack my older sister bought so she (and her husband) could have a bond with my kid brother and I, she got a fucking Charizard. I was beyond jealous and furious man.
Tough luck, my dude. Charizard was my favorite -- I was heartbroken when he disappeared.
EDIT: Jesus. I'm a grown man-child.
Ain't nothing wrong with being a man-child. I have like an abundance of fucking WWE action figures displayed in my kitchen/living area in my apartment. It's nearly an obsession at this point.

Oh yeah, the visuals for those games were quite awful. However, the simplicity of the game made it great. With 500+ Pokemon now, it's just not the same.
Although I did have fun with Gold and Ruby as well. Too bad my Gold cartridge is done for and I lost Ruby years ago![]()
Between that and holographic Nidoking, I thought I was unstoppable.

I'm pretty sure every guy posting in this thread is a bit of a man-child.
I think he's talking high school cheerleader, not Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. And if my history of editing competitive cheerleading videos has taught me anything, it's that not every cheerleader sits atop of the high school hierarchy of hotness.
Whose going to win the Lethal Lottery this year? *Points to self* This guy.
Alright, enough wishful thinking...
The Nidoking card was badass. So was the Gyarados card.
I remind you that we are on a website where men discuss professional wrestling. I don't think any one thread has a monopoly on man-childishness.
Hell yeah, it was! Dude, I'd always wanted a Red Gyarados. Those were amazing.
There were red Gyarados cards? The things I missed out on by being born three years later than you kids.

Do you think the only reason she's remembered with such nostalgic fondness (by those who admire her of course) is because of the excruciating mediocrity of today's politicians? It also helps that unlike any today, she actually spoke with (even if misplaced in some instances) conviction and had character. I'm thinking she certainly didn't deserve a statue opposite Sir Winston Churchill. She had a lot of overpraise for somebody who brought England the closest it's been for centuries to civil war.
Who are you voting for in the next election? If you even vote.
