Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

I have a question for the video game nerds of this thread, specifically the ones with 360's

An "Xbox 360 Core Console" doesn't include a hard drive, correct?

I've been thinking about picking up a 360 for the exclusives, & to hopefully enjoy more of a multilayer experience, I'd likely use my PS3 for everything else though. So I found two options, one is a core console which is only $100, & the other a 4MB slim console which is $150.

Rob Van Dam and CM Punk were both in MSG last night. You missed a great opportunity to breathe the same air as them.

I've touched Rob Van Dam before, so breathing the same air as him doesn't seem all that thrilling. And I've been in the same room as CM Punk before as well. Multiple times. I was there for his promo where he called John Cena the New York Yankees, and I was there for his match with Cena at Night of Champions.

You phone doesn't have a camera?

It does, but my phone doesn't think it has a sim card in it (it does) so the camera doesn't work.

That's the best part of indy shows: buying the DVD to try and see how many times you pop up.

The main page posted pictures from the show and I'm pretty sure I saw you in a couple. Were you wearing your NJexus shirt?

Yeah, we all were (except D-Man). You could see us in a bunch of pictures, though we were all on the far side of the ring.

What makes NJ bagels better?

Closer proximity to Jews and Puerto Ricans. Jews run the business and make the recipe, the Puerto Ricans do the rest.

That was your chance to jump the rail with NorCal & IC and win an impromptu match. The show sounded great, but you missed an opportunity for NJX to make its debut to the world.

We made our debut, likely as a heel faction that sits in the front row and talks to wrestlers. One time we sang Do you know the muffin man.

I'm not sure, I'd check with the seller before purchasing it. But if this is the product you're talking about (http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Core-Console-Video-Game-System/dp/B000AXFKGQ), I'd pass. That shit looks like a straight up scam.

I was on the fence about Wrestlemania, until I heard how much hate Cena was getting. Apparently the good fans of New York decided to boo a video of dying children just because Cena was in it - referring to the Make A Wish Foundation. If I could buy the matches separately I'd buy the main event, just so that I could hear the live audiences response to Cena winning.

Basically, but I wouldn't be getting it through Amazon. I'm thinking if I do this I would probably be better off just buying one new if I can find one for $150 or less, my luck I would buy that core system & end up with the dreaded red ring of doom, & since I bought it used I'd have no warranty or anything so I'd be shit outta luck & out a $100.

So hows that 4 man RP coming along guys? I'd rather boil and eat my own bollocks than RP at this point so I am afraid so there might be a piece missing. WrestleMania tonight though. That can fuck right off as well!

Haven't started yet, Miko, but I'm going to start as soon as I get back to Boston tomorrow. Well, maybe a little later, but around that time.

Ah well, at least its not just me putting it off. Oh, I haven't said it yet but enjoy WrestleMania, although don't feel obligated to enjoy it just because I told you too.

Well, I've had my annual post-Mania bitch-fit. Think it's out of my system now. How was your night?

Fantastic, we had a great time from beginning to end. As you might imagine Theo and Merk were a blast to hang out during the tailgate and we talked about wrestling, fantasy football, and even got to nerd out a little and talk WZCW. The show was pretty great, and we especially couldn't get over how amazing the set looked. The biggest moments of the night for us were Taker's entrance and Cena beating Rock. I lost my shit during Taker's entrance, it was so incredible.

What are your issues with this Mania? I would imagine Triple H going over Lesnar would be one of them.

Finisher-kickout-finisher played like crap during Rock vs Cena. I felt like there were two minutes straight where both men foolishly kept attempting the same moves over and over. That formula is really playing to diminishing returns in the Coco household. Couple that with how over Rock I am and how much more I'd rather be watching the young guns doing fun stuff with Cena, and... well... yeah.

Past that, five hours was too long. I was tapped out after Punk vs Taker. And as usual, I can't help but hide my loathing for stadium shows and the way reality never seems to live up to the hype. My usual party lines, you know?

Glad you enjoyed it. Taker's entrance was quite good this year. The zombies were a great touch.

Took a look at your thread, gave my 2 cents. Rock vs. Cena was a major disappointment apart from the outcome for me. When last year's main event outdid this year's main event, you know you failed hard.

Those weren't zombies! Those were souls cast into the fiery pits of hell that were reaching out to try and escape, but only The Undertaker has the power to rise from Satan's realm!

When Coulter mentioned people who speak Yiddish I thought of you. I mean I think about you a lot, but I thought double when he said that.

Who? I've been trying to predict who Cena gets next and all I come up with is a return match with Rock at ER and then onto Punk or Ryback. Who else can step up?

You're starting to make me hate this show. I can never find anything to disagree with you on. Except for watching the Pre-show I guess. Why on earth would you do that?

I have no clue who's up next. Assuming he gets past those three? There's Show, Henry, or some member of the Shield as the most obvious comers. So, one young guy. I reckon Barrett and Ziggler are Big Gold Belt guys. Bryan vs Cena would make a nice PPV match. So I'll keep my fingers crossed for that. And if all else fails, I guess Cesaro could fit the bill. Even though he doesn't give me the smark boner that everyone else seems to have about him.

A shame Cody and Sandow are stuck in tag hell, really.

There are options. I just have no idea which one they'll go with. Knowing WWE, their programming will fail to get across just how much top notch competition Cena can have over the next year.

How about Cena vs Sheamus, face vs face? That's something I could probably get behind.

I was excited. My mistake. As usual.

None of those names do it for me other than Bryan. Not even going to bother getting my hopes up for that one. No matter how awesome it would be.

I see potential in Cesaro. He'll make me stop fast forwarding for a moment or so.

For about a month. More than that and Sheamus kills it dead. The matches would be sweet, though.

Nothing about Miz or Barrett has led me to believe that a match between the 2 would be good. Never even really considered watching it.

Yeah uh, the fuck was that about?

Christian is suppose to be back this week I think, other than him you got Show, Punk, Rhodes, Sandow, Swagger, Henry, Orton, Sheamus, Ryback, Barrett, Bryan, & Kane as possible candidates for Cena next.

Shield don't seem to be interested in singles titles, at least not yet, & I don't think WWE has any desire to push Cesaro to the ME yet, I mean they left the guy off WM completely, though I guess you could say the same about Rhodes & Sandow.

I can't sleep, not that it's really much of a problem as I don't work tomorrow, & really my only plans consist of playing video games & watching movies. At least the season premier of Mad Men is on...

When Coulter mentioned people who speak Yiddish I thought of you. I mean I think about you a lot, but I thought double when he said that.

Not only do I speak Yiddish, but I was speaking Yiddish on the way to the stadium! I said, "We'll do a little shmoozing, a little noshing, and a little... I don't have a Yiddish word for watching wrestling."

Who? I've been trying to predict who Cena gets next and all I come up with is a return match with Rock at ER and then onto Punk or Ryback. Who else can step up?

No way are we going to see Cena/Rock at ER. I'm not sure who his first challenger is gonna be, but seeing as Punk is supposedly taking a few months off I doubt it will be him. Mark Henry seems like a distinct possibility.

You're starting to make me hate this show. I can never find anything to disagree with you on. Except for watching the Pre-show I guess. Why on earth would you do that?

Man, I know it's likely because I was there, but I still really loved it. The matches at WrestleMania rarely match the pageantry that surrounds them, but there's always a few matches worth watching again, and this year those matches were Taker/Punk and Triple H/Lesnar. The undercard did everything it was supposed to with Hell No vs. Ziggler and Langston and Jericho vs. Fandango both being solid performances, and Swagger vs. Delberto was a good match in between the undercard and main event matches.

As much as I'd love to see a feud with Cena revolving around how he's spent the entire year getting back to The Rock and he forgot about "the boys", I don't see anybody in the WWE right now that could play that role besides maybe Orton, and I think he's about to start a program with Big Show. I reckon Mark Henry is the next in line for a WWE Title shot.

Bryan vs. Cena will happen eventually, but I doubt before Summerslam. That seems like a Fall feud for some reason.

A shame Cody and Sandow are stuck in tag hell, really.

I suspect they'll lift the belts off of Hell No either at Extreme Rules or at whatever PPV comes after Extreme Rules, and then they'll drop the belts fairly quickly as well. I could also see the Bellas facilitate a Cody face turn.

How about Cena vs Sheamus, face vs face? That's something I could probably get behind.

Absolutely, but I think Sheamus' next big feud is with Brock Lesnar.

I forgot about Swagger.

Proper reaction, really.

Agreed. They don't have to fire him, but put him back in jobber status. He's not going to get over in a main event role.

They should've slowly built him up with this gimmick, had him win the US title first, & then built it up from there. He should've never gone from being off TV for months to "main event" title match at WM. Supposedly Sin Cara is going to be Cesaro's next feud, add Swagger to that mix & make it a triple threat.

Other than the epic waste of time that was Diddy I had a fun watching WM last night. I was exhausted after Taker/Punk match so it was hard to really get into the Brock/HHH match, which I also felt went a little too long, I felt they coulda got to the finish a little quicker, the whole exchange with Brock slamming Triple H down on the step to break the submission & then Triple H locking it in again & then them repeating that exact thing like five damn times got a bit annoying, I was happy when they moved onto another spot.

They just did a shitty job with the repackaging. I think I'm stealing this from KB, but you can't have this complete change of character and have his matches look exactly the way they did before. They just put him with a mouthpiece and changed his music, and hoped that would make people take him seriously.

Disagree, I think that dude is in a fine position to be a dominant midcarder for a while, and after that maybe bump up to the main event. The first stage of the Jack Swagger experiment to test the waters in the main event proved that he could get a decent reaction there, but was probably better suited for the midcard. I think stage two will show Swagger fits the midcard like a glove.

Much like Del Rio, I appreciate what Swagger can do in the ring, but without their respective manager they are pretty bland. Del Rio has the advantage of being Hispanic and that is marketable, but Swagger is white and boring. He is a great guy to be a perennial midcard champ/jobber to the stars. He shouldn't be main eventing full time, but he is serviceable.

On an unrelated note, I love when people red rep me just because I red repped their shitty opinions.

Who was it? We can rain down a barrage of red rep, the likes of which has never been seen on a post not by Dagger.
