I had some low expectations for the halftime show. I was fully intent on Jay Z showing up. Needless to say however this was probably my personal favorite halftime show passing Prince (and I don't even like him). Beyonce was fucking great and I was dancing like a silly white girl the whole time. Made me forget that I'm super sick at the moment.

I disagree, but then I really don't like Beyonce & didn't really pay attention to most of her performance, though I will admit she was leaps & bounds better than Madonna or the Black Eye Peas halftime shows, those were fucking awful.

You don't have to like Beyonce to realize she put on one of the best shows ever, and anybody who paid attention to the show would recognize this. Between the singing, dancing, fireworks, and all the crazy tech it was easily the best show in Super Bowl history and one of the best performances period. The whole thing was so complex and she performed it flawlessly. It was incredible.

Not at all. In fact, she made no secret of the fact that she wasn't singing the whole time which is why you know she did sing the parts that she looked like she was singing.

Ah yes. It used to be where flights from Dublin would clear US immigration do I have been there several times and did notice plenty of army personnel shipping in/out.

I would doubt that that happens as much now as US immigration had moved to Dublin.

For one night of standing on a stage and making an acceptance speech it's not a terrible haul, though compared to real halls of fame that is a pretty puny payday.

Then again, a bunch of the guys they induct are probably wrestling matches for $50 a night, so 5k ain't such a bad deal for them.

I am having a rather strange morning. First I watched the film "The Brood" in my seminar class and it is a BIZARRE fucking film, though overall I found it fairly enjoyable. Now I'm in the library, waiting for my next class (and periodically checking to make sure I still have my phone), and the dude sitting a few tables away from me is having some weird shit going on as he frequently gets up and walks away from his computer doing this ludicrous walk and mumbling something to himself like he's really pissed off about something. I think the stress is getting to this one.

In happier news, it's apparently both pancake day and ukelele day, and I can't think of two more delightful things to combine for a great day.

I watched two movies recently, both on netflix instant. The first one was Jeff, Who Lives At Home, enjoyable & pretty much what I expected, it stars Jason Segal & Ed Helms. The Second was a movie called The Way, a movie directed by Emilio Estevez & starring his father, Martin Sheen. Martin Sheen plays a father who heads overseas after his estranged son dies attempting "El camino de Santiago," he then decides he's going to walk it himself to honor his son, & meets a series of characters along the way, while it's nothing spectacular I found it rather enjoyable film.
